Now that the
BIG QUESTIONS
are out of the way I will answer the rest of them.
Question:
What does your hubby do at the hospital?
Does he mind that I am so open about family matters?
Does my family "get it" with my blog?
Are we on our Second Honeymoon?
Answer:
MyHero is a chaplain at a local hospital.
(Married to a pastor-me-yeah-no one in my
family can believe it either) lol
He is used to me being open but there are
things that I don't talk about.
Some things are too private or too painful
so I leave those out.
He pretends to hate it when I make fun of him.
The truth is, if I don't tease him
he wonders if I am mad at him.
He is the straight man in my comedy act.
He is also the straight man in both of our son's comedy acts.
Our daughters are much nicer.
My family doesn't really GET IT with the blog
but I find it much more personal than
Facebook where they have 5000 friends
and only KNOW 10 of them-snicker....
I KNOW my readers!
2nd Honeymoon? Hmmm..that implies that we had
a FIRST honeymoon. We never did.
Question:
Do you forgive easily?
Answer:
I never hold grudges. They would eat me up.
It takes A LOT to make me mad but
when I have had enough I will
LET SOMEONE KNOW.
TRUST ME ON THIS!
However, once I have had my say
I am over it and no longer angry about it.
If I struggle with forgiveness it would be with
someone that does the same awful thing
over and over again.
Question:
What do I like best about myself?
Answer:
That I can roll with the punches and deal with
most things with a sense of humor.
Question:
If you could change one thing about the world
what would it be?
Answer:
That no one would have to suffer needlessly-
That no child would go to bed hungry or sick.
That those that need healing would be healed.
I guess that is more than one thing but they
all kind of tie together.
Question:
If you could spend one hour with any person
-living or dead-
Who would it be and why?
Answer:
My father.
He died when I was 21 and I never got to say Goodbye.
Question:
Someone asked me if I like light, fun blogs
or ones that delved into real life problems.
Answer:
I like both. It connects us when we are honest
and real because, let's face it, life is
NOT always FUN.
I do think there is a fine line though between
sharing a problem/talking about life
and not falling into a pity party.
Illness, depression, divorce, death
all REAL problems to share.
There is a lessening of burden when it can
be shared with others.
Okay- I think there will be one more day
of answers to
ASK ME ANYTHING
and then I'll move on.
Thanks for hanging in there.
Hanging?
Hope you haven't felt like
HANGING yourself after all these
LONG posts!
Diana, You have a good heart. You are an honest person, that is what I like.Have a good week. xoxo,Susie

I enjoy reading your answers and learning more about you. Have a great Monday.
ReplyDeleteI just went back and read all of your ask me anything series. This was so fun to read and learn more about you. I totally love and enjoy your sense of humor the most! It was fun reading about how you keep up with blogging as well. I already knew you were a REAL people person so no surprise there. Thank you always for sharing yourself with us!!!!
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed these posts, Diana.
ReplyDeleteI am not surprised your husband is a Chaplain. And I am not surprised you don't hold grudges. I am sorry your dad died when you were so young. Not fair. And it is wonderful to get to know friends. sandie
ReplyDeleteLove all these "from the heart" answers -- it's wonderful that you know your readers, and now, your readers know you even better. Lol'd that your hubby wonders if you are mad if you don't make fun of him! Have you answered yet how you gotten so many followers? I know you said that you comment a lot, but were there other ways, as well?
ReplyDeleteI still say they broke the mold and its a good thing, you are one in a million!
ReplyDeleteDiana,
ReplyDeleteThis shows what a good heart you have and how open you are. That is why so many of us can connect so easily with you. I feel I have known you all my life. You are a special person and I am so glad you have a blog so we can connect with you. My life is better with knowing you.
Kris
HOnestly I think this whole series is one of the most clever things around- genius, really- for those of us who love blogging BECAUSE of the connection and friend-making, not necessarily because the decor eye candy pics are cheaper than magazines, haha.
ReplyDeleteSeriously though? Best answer today was the forgiveness one. I feel so exactly the same. And find it impossible to even UNDERSTAND how someone/they can keep doing the same thing over and over and over and they themselves not learn to control mouths or behaviors. It's a sickness, really. And one that I struggle forgiving, but when I realize it isn't as nasty as it is sick, well, then the forgiving wand is used. Ugh. Never easy but there it is. Hugs.
So sorry you lost your father at such a young age. I hope you two get to be reunited in heaven some day. But not any time soon. Unless Jesus comes to retrieve us all, and the way this world seems to be headed - I think I'd like that very much!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Diana, I have enjoyed reading and learning more about you my friend. I feel as though if someone lived close to you and had a problem, you would be there if asked. I look forward to hearing from you and reading your post because of the friendship that we have made through blog land. It is that friendship that helps when it is most needed. Your sense of humor is awesome. You have a wonderful day and I am headed for the second cup of coffee and more reading. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.
ReplyDeleteAre they your FINAL ANSWERS?..They were good ones..I agree that Blogging is way better than facebook,,seems more personal..Have a great week..
ReplyDeleteGreat answers to some great questions, Diana! That is why we love you, because you are NICE and funny and REAL!! And funny, did I say that already?:) (I mean
ReplyDelete"haha funny", not "kookie funny"!!)
Yes, you are definitely one of a kind. Beloved in blogland!
ReplyDeleteMy hubby is the same way...he wouldn't know what to do if I didn't tease him. We tease each other constantly and it works in our marriage just as it does in yours.
I loved all your answers.
I have loved these posts with answered questions. I must admit. I never would have thought of some of the questions.;-) I've never been one to "dig too deeply" into very much. Perhaps my college GPA indicates this.:-)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Monday!
xo Nellie
Yay! Not, yay that's it over. Yay, these posts were so fun. I loved all of them.
ReplyDeleteOh what fun! I never would have guessed that you are a PW...pastor's wife. Bet that it works beautifully because you can make him laugh and I am sure that being a hospital chaplain is not always a lot of laughs.
ReplyDeleteHi Diana, I feel like I've learned so much about you today. Thanks for being so open and honest! What a joy it is to know you, even in a virtual blogging world.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Noreen
Hi Diana- I've been catching up with all of your "answers" post...how FUN! I've enjoyed getting to know you even more!
ReplyDeleteI think a pastor or chaplain can really benefit from having people around who can keep things light. But I'm guessing he has a great sense of humor because that was probably on your list of qualifications for a spouse.
ReplyDeleteYou are a treasure.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Sue
I love all your answers!! I want you to do a more in depth series on parenting, marriage, beauty care. I want to learn as much as I can from someone who has walked it already. You're great!!
ReplyDeleteHi Di,

Bless your husband's heart. What a difficult job. I'm sure there are some rewarding moments, but I'm guessing that more often there are tough and emotional ones. I think I understand you more now too. Hugs, Liz :-)
ReplyDeleteThis was such a fun post to read! I always enjoy learning more about you.
ReplyDeleteI have had fun reading all of your ask me anything posts! The one thing that totally floored me was that you are a pastor's wife! I would have never guessed that in a million years. :)
