I am alive and well
and feeling a bit
SASSY!
You will find out why at the
end of this post.
Here's my update.
I did NOT have the flu.
Around Christmastime
I got a cold.
I NEVER get colds and I have
NEVER had the flu
as an adult.
Matter of fact, I never
"GET" anything.
(Well, except jokes- I always
get jokes-even when I am they
are at my expense)
Anyway,
the cold went away but I had
kind of a lopsided headache.
I HARDLY EVER
get a headache.
For those of you that suffer
with migraines I don't know
how you do it.
The headache came and went but was
always kind of "there".
Last Monday I ended up with
a terrible headache and felt
nauseous and had chills.
Oh-It's The Flu...or so everyone said.
By Wednesday morning I was in
so much pain I couldn't stand it.
MyHero works at the hospital
so off we went to the ED.
After 2 CT scans-one without dye,
one with dye,
I found out I have a deep seated
sinus infection and,
once again, spontaneous iritis.
You do NOT want this.
TRUST ME.
I have been laying low and on
antibiotics since Wednesday.
I will have to go back
for two checks
probably for another round of
antibiotics and the
opthomologist for
Prednisone eye drops.
As of this morning I
just have some pressure in my head
and it feels HOT-Inside-Weird...
BUT
Did you expect anything less than
WEIRD from me?
I won't be full force for a few
days as my computer time is
limited because of the eye/head thing.
BUT
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH
FOR YOUR PRAYERS.
FOR YOUR PRAYERS.
I was thinking about all of you
praying for me as they were
checking me for brain tumors,
blood clots and, possibly, a stroke.
HA!
I am not going to be gotten rid
of that easily.
Here is MyHero's sense of humor.
As we are sitting waiting for
results he said...
Don't worry - I've got a nursing
home all lined up for you.
Um.....
Thanks.....
Now you see why I feel like
THIS!
Have a great Monday.
Love to you all and I will
catch up as I can.
Glad your back and hope you continue feeling better! Cute, cute photo :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday!!!

ReplyDeleteOh seriously, you are an answer to prayers! If you got my email last night, you'll know what I mean. In any case, so glad to hear you don't have a brain tumor! ;) But those sinus infections are no fun. Take care of yourself and tell that husband to shape up! ;) Be well.
ReplyDeleteDebbie
I'm so glad to see you back here, Diana! I was thinking about you alot, and praying too! At least it wasn't the flu. Glad you've got some meds, and will be on the road to recovery, and NOT the road to the nursing home! Oh wait, that is where your Hero is headed, right?! Take care, big hugs to you!!
ReplyDeleteWe missed you! Glad you are feeling better...hugs, Penny
ReplyDeleteDiana, I'm so glad you're back but hate that you've been through all of this. That husband of yours!!
ReplyDeleteNow just get well, please! We all missed you so much.

I had to laugh with what your husband said, I can see mine saying the same;) So glad you are getting better Diana, I don't know what I'd do without my daily laugh from your blog, also glad the prayers worked I had know doubt that they wouldn't!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Rondell
Great to hear from you - I was concerned for you having just taken care of my Dear Heart during his bout with the flu! Glad you went to check it out. Very sorry for your pain and suffering, but you just don't lose your sense of humor, do you? Get well!
ReplyDeleteMissed you. Sorry to hear about the headaches and the sinus thing. I suffer the migraines so I know the pain.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! So glad to hear from you, Diana! Wow....that sinus thing can get really bad, can't it? Yucky stuff, but I'm glad that it's something from which you can recover. You just need some sunshine...just picture yourself laying in a warm, tropical beach somewhere in your yellow polka dot bikini....warm thoughts...warm thoughts....xoxo.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you had to go through all of that, but happy it is not something more serious... I know it must take alot to get you down... headaches are so awful... rest and take care and know I am thinking of you each day... and saying get well prayers too... xoxo Julie Marie PS Hello Sweet Cheeks!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Diana, and I'm so glad that you're feeling better. My husband used to get sinus infections, but hasn't had one in a long time. SweetCheeks looks so funny here, she's full of life. Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDelete~Sheri at Red Rose Alley
Oh my, take care :) Glad you're on the mend!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're feeling better, Diana.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to hear from you. I'm glad it was not anything worse, however that sounds horrible. Follow your doctor's orders and get well, soon.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are feeling better! I do suffer from migraines and it is no fun. When I get one it really knocks me off my feet!

Glad they figured out what is wrong. Hope you are 100% very soon.
ReplyDeleteOMG I'm glad you went in and got checked! I've been thinking about you and wondering what happened.
ReplyDeleteI love your humor and your way of looking at things! It's the only way to live in this silly world of ours these days!

~Wendy
its so good to have you back, that sounds terribly painful, at least you didn`t lose your sense of humor!!! Oh and neither did your husband!!!Take care,
ReplyDeleteWOW! What an ordeal. I so hope you will continue to heal and feel much, MUCH better. Bundle up, up there!!!
ReplyDeleteNancy
Oh I FEEL and KNOW your pain! I have had both of those (but not at the same time). No wonder you were so miserable. I have an auto immune disorder too and that is why I've gotten Iritis before. It is so painful and long lasting. The steroid drops should do the trick. You may even need to take the pills if you need more than the drops. That's why I get Colitis flare-ups. It's that darn auto immune thing that causes inflammation in my body. I'm used to it now unfortunately. I wish you a speedy recovery. It sounds like you're in good hands and doing what you're supposed to in order to get back to normal.
ReplyDeleteDiana
ReplyDeleteIt sounds so miserable!
I'll be praying for you dear lady.
Thank heaven you are better!! You will remain in my prayers!
ReplyDeleteI have been so worried about you. I knew it had to be something bad. I have been praying and hoping someone would post something. Yes, I know about those headaches. Mine are still happening with little breaks now....7 weeks I think, lost track. They are still trying meds. I am still functioning so that is a good thing. The Capt. is just trying to get back at you, hah. ((((((HUGS)))))
ReplyDeleteglad they found what was wrong, and that you are on your way to recovery. ...and if all fails...it's nice to know you already have a nursing home lined up. What a sweet and thoughtful husband...(read with sarcasm)
ReplyDeleteGlad you're back and in one piece. Take it easy and when you're feeling better I'll drive up there and we can check out nursing homes for MyHero. I'm thinking somewhere in Alaska would be pleasant!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you've been sick Diana, thank God it wasn't something worse than a sinus infection(that's bad enough). Take car, I know about that eye problem, I suffer from chronic uveitis and iriritis, no fun at all. The prednisone works well though. Feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteOh, I feel for you. I got sick at Thanksgiving and I swear I didn't get my voice back until about 10 days ago. Two rounds of antibiotics, steriods and so on. I do get migraines and they are bad, but a sinus infection headache is just as bad...so much pressure. I'm glad it wasn't more serious, but that doesn't mean you don't feel terrible. Saying a prayer for "normal" to return soon. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you had this checked in to, Diana. It's no good to lie in bed suffering, especially if you've never had symptoms like this before. The sooner, the better so you can get on meds (I am so full of advice. lol!). Anyway, I'm happy you are better and recovering. And funny as always. Missed you!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
I'm so glad you are back and doing "better". I won't let him put you in a nursing home, so no worries! lol
ReplyDeleteI have been praying for you to get better but sorry you had to suffer pretty bad with it along the way.
I guess for rarely getting sick you were due for a bad one! Take care and keep resting.
You are so loved and were so missed-it's great to get your sassy back. (except maybe your hero might not be AS happy as the rest of us-LOL)
ReplyDeleteDiana, I thought after those flu-y symptoms you were going to come back and announce to all that you were pregnant! Just kidding! So glad you're getting back to your old self and HOPEFULLY the meds will do their job this time!!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry Diana. I have been gone too and I am behind on bloggyland doings.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear your on the mend...sounds like a rotten illness.
Hugs friend,
Cindy
Hi sweet friend, So thankful that it wasn't anything serious-though it sounds bad enough. I've had sinus infections before and know the headache is a killer to be sure! Please rest up and get better; don't let your man take you for any surprise drives either.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Noreen
So glad you're alive and well..Now you just need to be better...
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are on the mend! And so sorry you had to feel so yuck for awhile.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better Diana!
ReplyDeleteLove your hero's sense of humor. I remember when I was going in for surgery ~ Jim hoped the nurses that I would have were hot!!
It sounds like your life is not a bowl of cherries right now. You keep resting and snuggle-in until you feel better. My prayers and best wishes for a speedy recovery. By the way, from what your hero said and all the sillies your Sweetcheeks does, you have one funny family. A good reason to get all better soon!
ReplyDeleteHi sweetheart. I am so glad that they found the cause of all those terrible symptoms. I would have been whining to the high heavens and I do understand how you would have wanted to make that face. Bet you felt like saying a few non publishing words as well.
ReplyDeleteSooooo happy you are at least on the mend. Please take care of yourself. We love you. Prayers, Ginger
I am so glad your better. You make my day and I kept checking to see if you were back in blogland. Take care!
ReplyDeleteHi Diana,
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to know that you are feeling better and you were up to posting.
Ha, isn't it nice that he has a nursing home all lined up for you. Mr. Sissie is always telling me that he can't figure out where to build the ramp so the neighbors won't complain! LOL!
Be sure and follow Doctor's orders and get better soon.
hugs
Sissie
Oh, so sorry you got hit so hard! Please get all better real soon. No nursing home for you!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to read this post from you! Take care of yourself! xo Nellie
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you are on the road to recovery. Just take it easy and don't push yourself to blog or anything else. You have the perfect excuse to be a woman of leisure right now. Besides, hasn't it been very cold in your area...another great excuse to be relaxing on the couch while your hero is working on that ice rink. XO
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, Diana! Sorry you have been feeling so "poorly"! I'm glad the doctor was able to find out what was causing your problems and has a remedy for them. Hope you are better soon...we miss you!
ReplyDeleteI feel bad, yet here I am laughing at you & Sweet Cheeks! I hope you feel better soon, Diana. Sinus infections are awful, not to mention what you're going through with your eye.
ReplyDeleteI agree...you deserve to be a woman of leisure while you are on the mend.
ReplyDeleteYou and SweetCheeks cuddle up and watch silly movies. I'm sure she'd love to nurse her Nana back to health. ;)
So glad you're feeling better, weirdo!
xoxox, Tina
Oh gosh, I am so sorry Diana. My friend just had that eye thing..it was bad! She wound up having to do the drops every hour. I sure hope you get better fast. Funny my friend never gets sick either and like you, you girls get the doozies!Feel better dear lady.
ReplyDeleteJeepers Di, How scary! I hope you are well soon and I'm sending many prayers for you.
ReplyDeletexoxo
So sorry you have been under the weather. Hope you have a speedy recovery. I had an eye problem about nine months out of last year and it certainly played a toll on my activities. So, get better soon, relax and recuperate - you deserve it!
ReplyDeleteJudy
I'm sorry you are sick but verrry glad it isn't something more serious! Will you be blogging from the nursing home, whenever he puts you in there?
ReplyDeleteHi Diana,I am so glad that you are feeling better. I missed your post yesterday, but have a lot on my mind right now. They are closing the business so I will soon be unemployed. I don't know what I will do. I like seeing sweetcheeks picture this morning. Hugs and Prayers Your Missouri Friend.
ReplyDeleteDiana! I am SO happy to see you! I was just about to email you and ask if you were ok! Sinus infectinos are awful! It's hard to imagine that much pain from a sinus but they can be very painful and make you dizzy (lopsided). I'm glad that you're on antibiotics and on your way to feeling better! Take care, drink lots of fluids and come back when you can! Prayers will continue. Hugs, Leena
ReplyDeletehugs to you, diana! fabulous pic:)
ReplyDeleteOh Diana, even with a headache you keep it going. I do get migraines so I feel for you completely.
ReplyDeleteI sure hope this all gets resolved and you are better with the sinus infection. I bet it was scary for a bit too. Bless your heart. The prayers helped I am sure of it. Continued prayers on going.
Take it easy and don't over do it.
Hugs, Celestina Marie
