I LOVE MONKEYS
Seriously, I do!
When we go to the ZOO
I could plop down in
front of the monkey cage
and stay there all day.
I heard THAT?
Which one of you just said
it was because I was
TOO LAZY
to walk around the whole zoo?
Do you see the monkeys below?
One time we were at the zoo
and Lulu (age 4) SCREAMED
LOOK NANA. THAT
MONKEY HAS HAIR
JUST LIKE YOURS.
Gotta love a grandkid like that.
Anyway...I always wanted
a MONKEY!
I didn't get one but
MyHero got one for
Christmas from the
kids.
His name was Martin
but I put him in a dress
and changed his name to
MARTHA.
I suppose I have really
confused her/him now.
She/He loves to sit
by the fireplace
and tends to doze off.
The REAL FUN with
Martha/Martin
starts when one of our
OWN LITTLE MONKEYS
come to visit.
You see,
Martha/Martin came with
her/his own bottle.
A banana bottle.
A banana bottle of its very own.
Wait....
Wait....
Wait.....
Well, look who is here to visit
with Martha/Martin Monkey.
It is
CharlesInCharge.
Martha/Martin is motion activated.
He kind of scares the bejebus out of
CharlesInCharge.
And what does a little guy do when
he needs comforting?
Why he reaches for a bottle, of course!
No! Not THAT kinda bottle.
THIS kinda bottle...
What? What's that
I hear?
I think I hear jungle drums...
nothing worse than a mad
monkey...
I am gonna go put my button
on right now!
You all have a great day.
And if you see any
flying banana bottles
you will know
what happened.
OMG This post made me chuckle from start to finish and put a smile on my face so early in the morning! Haha! I love it! You're right, grandkids do and say the funniest things! Oh my! That's why we love them so much. They're so darn cute! Ha! I love monkeys too! Thanks for the fun post! I love it! Have a great weekend! Sincerely, Carolyn

Well, you have a family full of humor! Hair like a monkey, too funny! I'm with you I could watch the monkeys all day! Thanks for making me smile!
ReplyDeleteOH now I see, we have more than one sweet cheeks commenter in the family.
ReplyDeleteWe had a 4 ft rabbit for a long time, where does a 4 ft rabbit sit, anywhere he wants...
such cute little monkeys, both of them!
ReplyDeleteHow cute, Diana! I have to laugh because we have a few of those motion activated toys and my granddaughter jumps every time. When she was younger {probably around young Charles' age} she would cry. Now she just backs away, but smiles and laughs.
ReplyDeleteYour posts totally make my morning. Glad to have you back to blogging again.
ReplyDeleteBwahahaha - you always make my day. Love the monkey bottle. Glad you are back from your break.

ReplyDeleteLol...the bottle, no not that one. You always crack me up. I have to say though, I am petrified of monkeys. They scare me to death...apes I am okay with. Martha looks sweet though ;) Besides I am afraid so hummingbirds too...so kind of crazy.
ReplyDeleteYour grandson is so cute :)
Love this story. Charles in Charge and Martha the monkey are both adorable.
ReplyDeleteI can always depend on you to start my day off with a chuckle. Thanks!

hahhaaa...cute post...cute baby boy.
ReplyDeleteWe really do love monkeys and spend all our time in front of their cage when we go to a zoo.
When I was little, you could order a spider monkey off the back of funny books. I wanted one sooo bad buy my mama DIDN'T. :))
Charles in Charge is A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E. And, I love what Lulu said! Don't you just love them?! Have a wonderful weekend, Diana!
ReplyDeleteSTILL hysterical-
ReplyDeletehope this works!
LOL- that poor kid will probably grow up with a drinking problem all because of you! That is the cutest thing ever. Poor little CIC doesn't have a chance with you AND Sweetcheeks as relatives!
ReplyDeleteSeriously- I love monkeys and I begged for one when I was a kid. It didn't matter- monkey or chimp, I just wanted one. Steve knew a couple who had a chimp when he was a kid, seriously, and they would go visit the chimp. They were really good with the neighbor kids and of course Steve and I had the same chimp you got with green stamps when we were kids.
I would love to train the spider monkeys for the handicapped!
You make me laugh so much...who doesn't love a good monkey story? Lol
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Gert
I could watch the monkeys at the zoo all day too! But I spend most days putting up with the monkeys that live with me - aka my kids!
ReplyDeleteI had to look at that monkey a couple of times to make sure it wasn't real.
ReplyDeleteNot my fav those poor little critters, but a very funny post.
Jen
Or maybe you like to hang out with the monkey's because you can relate to them so well??! So funny about LuLu's comment! That first monkey looks way too scary for me!!
ReplyDeletehahahahaaa...you crack me up..I needed this! I love your post lovely lady, those monkeys are way funny looking and the one you turned into a Martha..too funny! Your baby sure is adorable! Have a blessed Sunday...I'm still laughiiiiiing..
ReplyDeleteFABBY
You are so cute...I wish I had monkey hair..it would mean I had thick hair instead of the fine stuff on my head! xoxo
ReplyDeleteToo funny! Both little monkeys are totally adorable!
ReplyDeleteAdorable! It's so nice that your little monkey gets visitors!
ReplyDeleteMonkey Martha looks cute in her dress...so who got the banana bottle?
ReplyDeleteLittle Charles can probably make a little more noise. ;)
Okay so I don't feel so bad or crazy like my family thinks I am....I love love love monkeys...well, not just any kind of monkey I prefer the chimp...and not just chimps in general...the Hollywood chimps that get dressed up in roller skates and those Tam O' Shanter little hats....adore them...For years and years now I have been wanting to go to Los Angeles and visit the place that trains them for the movies...daughter was suppose to take me for my 50th....well I'm 62 now so maybe we can shoot for 65...The Boss just keeps telling me how I am going to have my face ripped off.....Oh who cares I just want to see one up close and personal.....I figure $600. for spending the day at the training facility is well worth it...or am I crazy??? You must have loved the movie Buddy...
