BigBoyE And The 'Puter

We have an old computer
that is as slow as molasses
in the winter.
However,
It is great for the kids
to use to play their games
and have fun with.

My daughter and I are
sitting on the couch.
I am drinking my coffee
and she is waking up.
We look over and
see BigBoyE
(I am henceforth
going to refer to him as
The Whirlwind)
sitting at the computer.
Hey...BigBoyE,
What are you doing?

I'm checkKING my
email!

I about spit my coffee out!
I walk over to take
his picture
and he is embarrassed....
Go 'way, Nana! he says.

Maybe noone wrote to him?
Not sure!
Got any 3 year old
emailers at YOUR house?

  1. Diana, It's almost scary how fast kids learn to do things on the computer. All my g.kids have been pecking on them . Big boy E is growing up so fast. I have seen how fast all your little boys are getting to be, from the photos you take. Toooo fast, don't you think?xo, Susie

  3. Hi Diana, Such a cute picture of him and I enjoy watching them explore. My oldest grandson is a lot smarter then I will ever be when it comes to computers. I know enough to get myself in trouble at times. Enjoy your little ones every chance you get because they grow up in a quick hurry. Have a great day. Hugs Your Missouri Friend.

  4. I've been volunteering on Friday mornings to help with 1st grade computer lab time at Josie's school. It's amazing how much they aren't afraid of technology.

  5. Such a cute picture, let him check his email privately, granny....... they learn computing way to early. That is why I got a 2nd computer, to keep a 5 year old and 2-two year olds from playing on mine.
Stephen played his games on his 'own' computer, from about age 2, on. Now I find them on my computer, when he is here

  9. I am always surprised at how much itty bitty ones can do with iphones and ipads - Mama's hand kids who can't even speak yet a phone and they start playing games! I think the space age generation has arrived.

  10. It's almost scary what our little ones know, isn't it? LOL. Your sweet BigBoyE is too cute checking his email ... perhaps Santa was sending him a note checking on his Christmas list?! :) Happy Thanksgiving!

  12. Diana,
No three year olds at the computer here, but I remember working in the classroom when my son was only 7 and they started to teach them how to use the computers. They are learning younger every day. Your grandson is sweet.

  13. How cute! Yes, Little Munchkin has had to "check her email" at times.:) We just about cracked up when she said that! We also have an old computer, probably slower than molasses in winter as well. I always thought there would be another purpose for it.:) xo Nellie

I think it is awesome that you are documenting all these moments with your grandkids.
My kids said and did the cutest and sweetest things and I either forgot to write them down, OR i did and now I have forgotten where I put the notes!!!!

    LOL

    Oh well. Darling little story.
    Thanks for sharing!

  23. These babies are naturals with the technology and know whatnto do with a computer, ipad or iphone. Wow. We didn't even have a phone until I was 8. Really cute pics.

  28. Isn't it just incredible that these young children know so much about a computer? Anytime I have a problem, I call my grandkids and they just take care of it immediately. Makes me feel so inexperienced (stupid)!

  33. Oh, it's all so normal to them. I didn't even know how to mail a letter at that age. Believe me, if I could have figured out the postal system, I would have won that pony on the Post cereal box! ~ Maureen
