Romantic Homes For May

You won't believe the
EYE CANDY
in the May Issue of
Romantic Homes.
Get a napkin or something
cuz you are going to be
drooling into your keyboard.

First up..
Debbie Watts
Is that gorgeous, or what?
She is new to me but......
Wait till you see her blog!

RH also featured a blog
I follow..
Rebecca Ersfeld
You will love her style
and her family pictures.

And, who doesn't know
and drool over
Janet Coon's blog
RH did a
12 PAGE SPREAD
on her Miami home.
It's fantastic!
There's this inside..
and this outside...
And, last but not least,
Angie Mathey
don't you LOVE that name-
makes me think of Alice
and eating magic mushrooms
which I am proud to say
I have NEVER done
Her story of overcoming
disaster to reopen her
store is uplifting.
So, there you have it...
some real beauties.
We've been looking
at motor homes and
travel trailers.
If I fix this up real
pretty...
do you think Romantic Homes
might want to do a story
on this beaut?
Just askin'

  1. Paint it white and hang lace on the windows they will. Oh and just for extra measure put your white painted T.V. in there. Thanks for the inspiration if it wasn't for work I'd be redecorating today. Again!

  3. I drool everytime I look at Romantic Home Magazine. Unfortunately with my guy I have to be more of a traditionalist in my decorating. He hates all the fru fru.

  4. Thanks for sharing! Those photos are definitely drool-worthy! I'm going to head over to their blogs now.

  5. Diana, It's defying gravity..it seems. White paint helps lots..but I just don't know about that camper girl. All the ladies featured in Romantic Homes are beyond belief. I have met Rebecca, she is as nice as they come. I am going to visit the other ladies 'sites. Smiles, Susie(She Junks)

  6. Hi Di,
I'll never forget when I temporarily left country decor and went shabby chic, Anthony was still living at home and couldn't stand all the lace, ruffles and white. His room was decorated really rustic/cabin, so funny! I will check them out for old time sake.

  7. I just got mine in the mail yesterday, Diana! I'm so looking forward to sitting down with it {when I'm on my own} and just devouring it. Maybe Saturday, I have furniture being delivered so I have to be home anyway.

  12. Paint that trailor a distressed barn red and decorate it with ornate metal art.... and maybe a big metal star. Then it would be fit for the cover of any magazine in Texas - which is the Lone Star State. Also - put window boxes just below the windows and plant lots of pretty flowers. I think it does have potential. But - it will require a lot of work and a little cash. It might be cheaper in the long run to just buy a NEW trailor!
(plus... the new ones have toilets that have never been used. There is something to be said for a new, CLEAN bathroom)

  21. One of my favorite dream and relaxin magazines. I'll have to make sure I head out to get it. As for that trailer--Im not creative enough to do it..but I know some of you, could make that into a romantic castle easily.

  22. Well, I would be in line then!! Because our MH transformation is starting to look amazing!
I did get my new magazine and it is a good one!! I love, Love, LOVE that magazine. In fact, I have boxes of back ones...and it is a bit of an issue cuz I don't know where I am going to put them...but they have to go someplace!!

  25. Hi Diana! I just joined your blog! I would love for you to do something with that trailer. It has so much possibilities! Why don't you?!! You would have such fun and so would your followers!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Sure does look purty there, but I don't think the guys would let me go white with ruffles...they are bigger than me and it just wouldn't happen.
I do love the redneck camper...That's what you need to do shows with! No one would ever miss that in a crowd!
I think it would make a cute little guest cottage, providing you fixed it up all nice with those ruffles and chippy white furniture!

    ReplyDelete
  27. White ruffles are gorgeous but I can just see myself spilling something beet red on it and then of course, couldn't get the stain out.

Have you checked out the gypsy trailers?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Hi Diana,

Well, I was eating while I read your post. Drooling at the same time would have been a bit gross. lol

I may just have to get that magazine. Those pictures are beautiful.

Now the camper, well....I think it would be interesting to see what you could do to it. White ruffles and lacy curtains would be good. Make the front cover. :)

We like to look at the moterhomes too. Now some of those are drool-worthy. :)

Take care my friend, Janet W

    Happy Easter~

  39. Don't you feel so humbled when you stumble upon a feature in a mag by some blogger that you know, D??? So much fun! I usually wave it in front of Hubby's face yelping, "I KNOW her! I've written to her and she's written back!!!" (and I usually get a "Ummmmm.....okaaaaaaay....." look from him.)

I say paint that hickerbillyville trailer white, throw some burlap on the floor, hang some floral curtains in the windows and you're good to go, girlie! lol!

Have a blessed and joyous Easter, my special friend!

  44. Hello Diana~

What beautiful pictures, for sure! I can see I need to check out this copy of Romantic Homes! :) And oh, I agree with Lynne~ campers are all the rage right now, and I definitely see a feature issue with yours in it if you should work your magic on it! :) I think vintage campers are so adorable, I just love them! But funny thing, I do not like to camp! ;) It doesn't stop a girl from dreaming though, huh?

Well, my friend, I hope you have a wonderful Easter and a lovely weekend! :)

    Blessings,
    Jenni

  45. Ha ha ha ha ah ha he he he eh he!!! Oh sure! Throw a few cans of white spray paint, and pink with rose stencils (you're smart enough to make the leaves with some green) put up some of the polka dot material for curtains, and you're ready to take your Hero on the ride of his life!

    You go girl!

Thanks for the smile this morning,
    I love you,
    Donna
