I totally knew sweet cheeks was the one with the butt problem LOL...she thought in her little mind if she made baby feel better she would too...OMG that is so funny!
That is just too cute! I read the other day that her mother does not want her playing with Barbies. I think that is a very good idea. Little girls can learn so much from playing with baby dolls. They can develop their maternal instincts, for one. There's just something weird about little girls playing with Barbies. One thing that comes to mind at the moment is that they cannot identify with a grown up doll. We did not have Barbies when I was growing up. My baby sister, daughter, and granddaughters played with Barbies. Anyways, it made me think when I read that your daughter does not allow them. I believe she's right! If I had to do it over again, I would not allow it either.
Diana, Squeeze that girl down...I do not want her to grow too fast. I love reading about sweetcheeks. They will be grown before we know it. Hug those kids today. Smiles, Susie
If her baby has a serious rash it needs horse medicince. Corona Ointment. It's the best diaper rash cream on the market. And if you can get the OLD recipe it's even better. More lanolin.... it can heal a rash overnight.
Poor child. Its not good to have a sore butt. Where in the world did you find butt paste? Never heard of that one before. I thought you were waxing butt cheeks at first! LOL You know you were just asking for a post like this when you bought that. Still laughing here, had to set my lunch aside. Raining here and chilly, but we went for a walk anyway. Trying to get caught up in here today. Have a fun weekend and don't forget the butt paste!
Okay, that was my "good" laugh for the day! Gotta love the sweet, sweet innocense of young children trying to imitate their adult role models. That's why it's always good to be a very good role model....lol! CAS
I have to say that I almost spit coffee on my keyboard when I read this earlier. I had to leave before I did....so I left the soda in the kitchen and came back online to comment on this. Diana: Well, I hope I can tell this story over the internet, but when my grandson was between 1 and 2 he was sitting on the couch, watching TV, with his hand down the front of his pants. May daughter asked, Jake, what are you doing, why do you have you hand in your pants. His answer, For to keep my peewee comfy. Out of the mouths of babes..Happy Weekend..Judy
Oh how funny SweetCheeks is with her doll. I bet that one cracked you up. I wanted to let you know that the prayer on my post today was for you and all my bloggy friends. You all were the friend that I was talking about. Have a fun weekend. ~Sheri at Red Rose Alley
When Brandon was 3 and Adrienne was a baby we had a couple over after church for dinner (do people still do that????). Anyway...we were all sitting a chatting when we realized Brandon and the couple three year old daughter were missing!
Where were they?
In Adrienne's nursery putting baby powder all over her handmade doll. It had been a gift from my Aunt and it was, well...not in GOOD condition. It was also cloth...
Oh...I forgot...they had Karo syrup in the mix, too! I use to use the stuff to stick the bows on Adrienne's ALMOST baled head.
oh my goodness, there really is something called butt paste?! How funny! And, how precious that she was using it on her baby!! What memories you have. She'll look back at all of these posts someday and just love that shared all of these wonderful memories! xo Holly
