Thank you for all the prayers
and well wishes for my friend,
Jettie.
They could not do the surgery
as planned.
To do so, they would have had
to take a portion of her leg bone.
Instead, they are going a different route.
They are trying a 24/7 IV antibiotic
for the next several weeks.
If this works, she will not
need surgery.
So, continue to keep her in your
thoughts and prayers.
Also,
Please continue to pray for
Connie's husband, Steve.
He is in the midst of
a very tough battle.
You can read that post here.
And, I have known about this
for quite a while,
but have not had the heart to post it.
It took me some time to
work through this-as I was
'with' Sharon/Sugar as
they walked this path.
Wild Bill passed well before Christmas.
You can read one of the requests here.
Please send prayers and good wishes
to Sugar.
They had packed up their whole lives
and moved south seeking
treatment that might be lifesaving.
Now she is away from family and friends.
Keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
Thanks to all of you that are so faithful
in praying and/or sending
healing thoughts and wishes out.
You are
THE BEST!
Love to you-
Hope to be back with some
FUN STUFF
in a bit.
Got some
NEWS

I am glad that Jettie will have an alternative therapy and I am praying that it sets her right. So difficult to be away from family and friends, yet one is never alone. Praying for your friend Sharon. Praying for Steve and Connie.

ReplyDeleteDiana, I sure am praying for Connie and Steve. They are a sweet couple and have had a tough year. Praying the iv works for Jettie, that would be way better than two surgeries. I do remember wild Bill and Sugar. So sorry about Bill's passing. Life can be so hard at times. We need to cherish our loved ones always. Bless your sweet heart Diana. You help us stay united for the good of each other. Love you girl, xoxo, Susie

ReplyDeleteHi Diana, I took a long blog break. Back last summer I knew about Connie's husband, Steve, and had them on the prayer list. Sorry to hear they are still in the midst of that tough battle. Will add all you've mentioned to my prayer list. God bless and take care. Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving me a kind comment. John
ReplyDeletePrayers for all, those who are sick and the family who lost their loved one! HUGS and prayers coming your way too!
ReplyDeletePrayers for all listed and Thank you all for prayers for me.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't that the surgery wasn't needed, the metal ball had cold welded itself to the stem, and the doctor said in over 8000 surgeries, he'd never had this happen, it would not come off. So he would have had to split the bone to remove the stem and ball together, then I would have been in a nursing home for at least 3 months until it grew back, flat of my back. He did not want to do that unless it is absolutely the only thing left. I told him God was in control of this surgery, and didn't want that ball to come off. High powered antibiotics/
Praying that the antibiotics do the trick for Jettie! Your prayer list is vital to all the folks who are suffering and their families. xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh Dianna....so many heartfelt stories here. AM PRAYING,
ReplyDeleteJo
I so believe in prayer. I am praying for the ultimate best solution for all of these requests.
ReplyDeleteI am thankful that Jetti may not have to have surgery and I will certainly say an extra prayer for Sugar today following the loss of her dear hubby.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for the update.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts and prayers for all.
All the best Jan
Will continue in prayer for Jettie, such a tough situation she faces! And I've been praying for Connie and Steve, will certainly continue! I'm so sorry to hear about Wild Bill, will be in prayer for the family. SO much sadness abounds. Hearts that are hurting, broken and families in turmoil. Much to pray about! Thanks for sharing the requests Diana, I consider it a privilege to pray for my sisters in Christ. Many blessings to you sweet friend!
ReplyDeleteThank you for keeping us posted on our dear blog friends. We are such a special group of friends. I am blessed by all our blog buddies. Sending prayers!
ReplyDeleteLove, Carla
Prayers for Jettie and for Sugar. A friend just had IV antibiotics for a post-surgical infection and didn't need surgery. She just went home today. :) Hoping for the same for Jettie.
ReplyDeleteIt is a bittersweet post! Prayers for all!
ReplyDeleteThank you for including Steve on your prayers list. We are getting ready to leave for another chemo session today. The last two nights I have had no sleep. I can fight the fears and go to the Lord in the day, but at night when I try to sleep my mind gets attacked with fear. We are so grateful for every prayer and are in prayer for you and John and for our blogging friends everywhere that are afflicted with these horrible illnesses.
ReplyDeleteDi, just got back to the internet and saw this post today. Thank you so much for your kind words and everyone's prayers. It has been overwhelming trying to get back to a normal life without Wild Bill in it. I find myself dragging my feet to get things done and move on. So hard to even let go of his favorite shoes! Today I realized with each piece that leaves the house, I lose another small piece of him -- I'm so afraid of that so I tend to hang on to things and it's disruptive of getting the house ready for sale.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, please know how much your words and prayers mean to me. I feel uplifted often and think maybe the prayers of all the other bloggers are hugging me from afar.
