BACK WITH A PRAYER REQUEST---

You KNEW something
would drag me back
to blogging
didn't you?

Well, it is my dear friend,
JETTIE.
I know you won't believe this
looking at that baby face
but she is in her 70s!
YES.SHE.IS
(disgusting, isn't it to look that young at that age)

Once again she is having surgery
tomorrow morning
on her hip for an infection
that has never fully cleared up.
I believe this is her
SEVENTH SURGERY
on her hip-in about a year's time.

This time they are taking the
hip replacement part out
and putting in an antibiotic 'spacer'.

I believe that will be in for about
SIX WEEKS OR SO
and then she will have another
surgery!

Please pray for a successful surgery
AND
for her spirits.
I can't begin to imagine how
discouraging this must be.

If you are NOT a person that prays
please wing good thoughts
and healing wishes her way.

I have other requests coming up
but needed to get this one out today.

Thank you all so much!
This is such a
GREAT GROUP-
You all have no idea how special
YOU are!

  2. Diana,
Thanks so much for stopping by!! Happy New Year to you and your family! Sending prayers for Jettie...The best thing for them to do is to take out the replacement joint, put in the spacer, administer IV antibiotics for a few weeks to get rid of the infection in the joint and then when all is cleared up, put in a new replacement joint. Disheartening for sure...
    Hugs,
    Deb

  4. Thank you so much, I appreciate all prayers. This is surgery #6, hopefully only one more after this, to replace the hip for the last time. I am confident in my doctor, and hope you will pray for him too.

  12. Diane I will pray for Jettie ~ A very sweet and young face. Sorry I have not been around. A crazy year of 5 hospital stays and 45 doctor appointments for my dearest. And a crashed computer.
But a new year, a new computer, and my dearest home now after a stroke a week ago. No paralysis...but much weakness on the right side. I hope to begin posting regularly...I know you've had a break from blogging too. You are a sweetheart to put out all the prayer requests. Love and Hugs.

  13. I can imagine how dispiriting this is. I had my hip replaced exactly one year ago. The replacement went well, but developed a whole new set of spinal issues. My heart and many prayers are with Jettie.

  16. I am actually the Prayer Lady at church, so I will pray for her. Is she able to walk? Will she be able to after her surgery? Glad to see you back, but I am sorry it is for such a sad reason.

  19. Prayers for your friend for a successful surgery this time! She sure does not look like she is in her 70s! I would have guessed early 40s. Wow!

  21. Special prayers for Jettie. And Diana, I agree, how can her face look so young? Whatever her ancestry, it must not be MINE! Laughing but crying at same time. xx

  22. Consider it done! Prayers for all her caregivers and family also. If you know Susan Freeman from Ash Tree Cottage, she needs all the prayers we can muster. Shelia from Note Songs mentioned some information she had gotten from Facebook. I have not heard anything else about her health issues. xoxo

  24. Were going thru a tough and sad end of the year and new year as well. We've been a this past week spending time with hubby's older brother 3 hours away, who is dying of a extremely aggressive cancer which is spread all over his body. He was in pain and now he is dying slowly. We have been praying so our dear God takes him with him, where he'll be free of pain and discomfort. My BIL Gustavo is such a believer that he'll go straight to heaven. Please pray for him too.
I will pray for the 'youthful lady.' My God so much operations she must endure !
Hope you have a wonderful and healthy 2020 dear friend.
    Love,
    Fabby

  27. Of course I'll pray for Jettie! I think she is one who often chooses the same table to sit at as I do when you have your entertaining table posts. I'm so sorry for the awful year it has been for her and will pray that this will be best solution and go well.

  29. I will definitely pray for "Jettie" and her hip surgery. That is so painful, and to have to go through it again. I have a friend who had the same problem because of MRSA. It was/is a very painful process. I do pray that your friend will have a better time of it, and that God will guide her doctor's hands skillfully. Praying for complete healing of the infection. May God be with her and give her strength to get through all of this. And may He give her peace and joy in the midst of the journey. Praying now.

  36. Prayers spoken. You are so sweet to pass this info on. I have also been praying for my sister-in-law, Cindy, (she has rare condition of Cushings) who went through her 4th brain surgery to remove tumors. Each surgery 2 tumors were removed. They return. This last one done the end of November has affected her left eye and now it seems to be going into her right eye. Now they think they may not have got it all so she may need another brain surgery but we will not know for about a week. She is so sweet and does so much for her family, even in her difficult times! I feel like I am praying so much now for so many! And now praying for peace and a much better leadership for our America.
