I have been going through
my old photos and sorting and
organizing them.
So, I thought I would share a few
of them with you.
This beautiful floral came from my oldest daughter
for letting the girls stay at my house
for a few days.
It sat on the glass-topped cherub "shelf"
under the living room windows
that overlook the front porch.
spent a lot of time on
I had the bench pad on...
oh well...it is what it is!
If you looked towards the road from the swing
this is what you would see. This was right in front of the porch.
Those pillows did not stay!
I tossed them there and forgot to remove them for the photo. Not sure why some of these pictures are so washed out looking...
Hey- Never said I was a PHOTOGRAPHER,
did I? No. No. I didn't! This one is a bit better! This hung between the tree and porch.
The birdhouse is all wonky because it had
a nest in it and I didn't want to disturb it
by "straightening" it.
The bird flew out in my face and
scared the devil out of me
well, not really! The devil was still
lurking there somewhere...
I think he was downstairs reading
his Bible and praying
oh well...it is what it is!

which is an ell to the right
(you can't see it-sorry)
taken by the base of the front steps. Next to the front garage doors
(there are back ones, too)
is this huge clematis.
I must have done something
...it's hard to beat a clematis!
ReplyDeleteIf anything says 'relax' to me it is a swing. I love this one (without the cushions, but Sherry would love 'em). Ah the bike, love it. Thanks for the trip around the place neat.
ReplyDeleteLove to you from North Carolina,
Sherry & jack

Beautiful porch and yard! I could stay there a long time.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you enjoyed having the girls as much as they love being there!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful yard you have. It looks very inviting. Love that pink bike with the flower baskets. I wish I was good at gardening.
ReplyDeleteLove your photos. When we bought this house the first thing that we went and bought was a porch swing. I love sitting on it in the early morning hours and in the evening.
ReplyDeleteDiane, I have always wanted a porch swing....never had enough room for one. I bet there's some great memories of the kids on that swing. Your flowers are always very pretty. I love that you put them in the bike baskets. Nothing like a multi colored beard, for pops of color. Ewweee. Blessings to all of you, love you, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteI like the floral bike -- beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLovely! I especially like the bike all painted pretty and decorated.
ReplyDeleteLove all the pictures. Summertime is wonderful and gives us much to take pictures of. Your's seems to be telling a story for sure! Happy summer days!
ReplyDeleteHello! All things I love and your clem is stellar! Jacques made me a porch swing in'86 and I still love it so much!!It still looks brand new..lol always been on a front porch:)
ReplyDeleteyour yard is lovely, what a perfect view from your porch and swing. I love a swing, and have since I was a small child. nope, not a smile at the Walmart shot, but I did shake my head in wonder. ha ha.. I love the curly thing that is in your vase of flowers...
ReplyDeleteFun to go through photos....
ReplyDeleteYou would laugh to see where our photos are...

I like that pink bike.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. I love photographing flowers...even though I am not so good at it. They just bring me so much joy.
ReplyDeleteI have an old bike I want to paint...in fact I have a lot of projects stored in my mind, that I just can't seem to actually do. It's frustrating.
ReplyDeleteI think your photos are gorgeous. I always enjoy them.
I’m pea green with envy on your porch swing since I’ve always wanted one! After seeing your pink bike I might have to paint mine pink!!! Your yard looks beautiful and a great space to relax and enjoy the kids! Congratulations to your sons 14th wedding anniversary!
ReplyDeleteOh, Diana, these pictures are all so "you"! What wonderful, inviting spaces you create! -Jenn
ReplyDeleteIt's neat to have lots of beautiful photos to keep and enjoy! Happy weekend my friend. Time moves on, doesn't it!
ReplyDeleteI love all your photo's but that swing, I could sit there all day, I love a swing, don't have one now. The bicycle, I've always wanted to do on like that with flowers. Oh well I'll just look at yours again.
ReplyDeleteNice looking yard, looks like a wonderful place to relaz and kick back in one of those chairs.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day and weekend. Diana.
Bicycles and flowers are some of my favorites! Yours is lovely!
ReplyDeleteBlessings~
I'm smiling Diana! What beauty you have to enjoy. Love your gardens! xoxo Dolly
ReplyDeleteIt is one of my goals in life to get an old bike like that...maybe even paint it pink! You never know what you'll find at Wally World...lol!
ReplyDeleteI love that pink bike. On the other hand that beard is really something else. LOL xo Laura
ReplyDeleteThose folks would live at walmart if they could.
ReplyDeleteYou always make me smile. Cheers from Carole's Chatter
ReplyDeleteThe bike is terrific! The man is over the top. Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteLaura of Harvest Lane Cottage
Beautiful flowers 💐
ReplyDeleteHow sweet of Tara to give you the flowers. Super pretty. Love where you put them too. I cannot believe that Summer is almost over. It is already the last few days of July. Ugh!!! Your flowering plants look beautiful.
ReplyDeletePS that guy in the Walmart! Now that is someone that loves his country lol!!! Happy Weekend.
Hugs,
Kris
When I take out all the old photo albums, I sometimes feel like crying...
ReplyDeleteOldies but goodies, time marches on! Walmart is always an adventure LOL
Hugs, Roxy
Your photos say "Peace and rest" to me. Well done!
ReplyDeleteI love looking through old photos. That’s where I get column and blog ideas.
ReplyDeleteI love this. All so pretty.
ReplyDeleteNo, about that beard. I think hes on something... I mean on to something.
Lisa
Hi Diana, great pictures and love the Clematis. Never had it and it's gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI really love the pink bike. I don't have perfect pictures. Not patient enough to read the manual. That's life.
Cindy
The clematis is gorgeous! I wish I'd gotten a purple flowered one instead of the white flowered one I have.
ReplyDeleteBrenda
It's so fun to go through old photos. Ah, the memories they can bring back. :) I love the clematis - what a beautiful color. Happy Sunday to you!
ReplyDeleteWell hellooooo……as you can see, I got old Nelly up and running for the 100th time. This old computer has given me fits ever since I've purchased it...but I am not giving up on her! I keep saying I am going to get back into blogging, and every time I do, this old pile of junk breaks down! Well, I got it fired up, and here I am....again. That clematis of yours is gorgeous!! Mine looks like a twig with maybe three flowers on it this year. I'm not giving up on her either!! She'll come around...sooner or later. It's been hot and humid here, but I'm loving it! Summer is worth every drop of sweat my brow can muster. I loved reading your post, my friend. The last little diddy was the BEST!! You always put a smile on my face, Diana. Love you. Debbie xo
ReplyDeleteGood Morning, Diana. Thanks for sharing your beautiful summer photos. That bike is the very best and the clematis is a show stopper..Happy Summer, my friend..xxoJudy
ReplyDeleteI remember that pink bike..Fun to go thru old pics.Makes me sad sometimes....Beautiful Clematis...very healthy..
ReplyDeleteI have a problem and you're soooo smart, I thought maybe you would have an idea..
When you leave a comment on my blog..I publish it..When I publish it , it used to go right to my email making it easy for me to respond to...No more and I don't know an easy way to answer comments..All I can do is email the person that left the comment..That's a bit labor intensive ..Any ideas?? ?Any easy way to respond to a comment?? I didn't change anything..Some people reply to comments by leaving their own comment after your comment..Who goes back to old comments to read them??
HELP!! Thanks..Hope you are having a happy Sunday...xoxo Hugs
Beautiful pictures! Love the bike and the flowers. Boy if neglect is all it takes to get a clematis to look like that- wow!
ReplyDeleteOhhh, that bike. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteYou are hilarious.....thanks for the chuckles!
Oh my gosh...love the Wally World dude! Haha...I made me a painted bike. It sits in the front yard, not up against a tree since the large tree in the front yard actually sits between my house and the neighbors. Oh well...yours is pretty. Mine is PURPLE!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are perfectly fine! Don't be frettin' over a wonky here or a forgotten something there. I like to see real life!! I totally love that bike with the plants! Perfect for that spot! The dude at the end... um, nice beard. There's always someone at Walmart, right? Ha!
ReplyDeleteWOW, so many pretties. I SO love the bike with the flowers AND would love to sit in one of those chairs and chat! Wanna join me:) Have a blessed day dear friend, HUGS!
ReplyDeleteI love your bright sunny pictures...and that is probably why they are so bright...the sun affects the way the light works in our photos, esp. if that is your cell phone. Even regular cameras do that. I have a program on my computer that helps to give them more of a shadow of color when needed. But we love your pictures anyway...love the bike and flowers, the swing is wonderful (I want one) and the chairs with the pillows are just fine. I'm sure they were more comfortable that way. Thank you for sharing with us. Beautiful summer pics. Enjoy it while you can!!!
ReplyDeleteThat bike is so pretty...the pink pops!! I love color in the garden, even when it's not from the flowers!!xxoo
ReplyDeleteAnybody ever tell you you’re crazy!😂But..a wonderful crazy💕
ReplyDeleteCheers!
Linda :o)
What pretty flowers and summertime is the best.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, all the colors. I've always wanted a porch swing! Not only are you a good photographer, but you have a green thumb. :)
ReplyDeletexoxo
Thanks for your visit, Diana. I think I might splurge and get me a big bucket of silica gel too..xxoJudy
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are so lovely Diana, especially the clematis, I haven't had much luck growing them, I love what you did with the bike too! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteSue
Gorgeous views everywhere you look! I have NEVER seen a clematis like that. I have one (two actually) but at their best they might have a dozen flowers. Yours must've eaten its Wheaties. Incredible! xoxo
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are fabulous. I need to work on my blog so the pictures show up better! I absolutely LOVE the bicycle! I always like to see objects used in different ways than their intended purpose...takes imagination:) I can identify with your comment about the devil:) Sometimes he can just get the best of "some people." I'm off to the beach for a few days and I soooo need it. Lots of sad stuff going on around here and I just need a few days of peace by the sea! Hope you have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteDiana,
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing these beautiful pictures!!I love the swing and the bike!! So so charming!! Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by!!
Hugs,
Debbie
My clematis bloomed in the spring - and then was done! Maybe yours is a different variety. Oh, I've seen a lot "better" (or should that be, worse?!) in Walmart, lol. Though this guy's beard is a hoot!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures can't help being beautiful because you have such a lovely subject for your photography!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it fun to go through old photos? It's like finding an old friend, long forgotten, yet so lovely and delightful!
ReplyDeleteEvery one of these is a gem!!!
I have that kind of clematis as well! My garden is looking great!
ReplyDeleteDiana, you have a beautiful garden, I especially like the pink bike with the flower baskets.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
I’ve never seen anyone like that at Walmart - yet. I organized photo’s before I moved. That is such a big task Diana and I never had hundreds -like how I do on my phone....probably the biggest things I miss are the things that live only in my memory. Thanks for sharing your photo’s - they are so you it makes me smile!
