This is not my usual prayer request.
I am usually crying when I write most of them.
However, this one is close to my heart.
This surgery has been a long time coming.
Jettie is the reason I am blogging today.
She started a blog called
where she blogged for books.
I had never heard of a BLOG before that.
I thought that was pretty cool and,
I thought I would blog for books, too.
(I never did because I got
sidetracked writing nonsense).
Anyway~
After emailing back and forth a whole lotta times,
she led me through the process of
setting up my blog
and here I am today-maybe paying
her back just a bit for all she has
done for me.
Of course, I like THIS picture, too.
Now I am REALLY in for it.
But while I am on the subject-
Anyone else think her hubby
looks like Conway Twitty?
Just sayin'
Jettie and I have shared laughs and sorrows,
ups and downs,
health scares and family problems
for about 15 years.
For the last few years she has been in constant pain.
She has had a hard time walking and
in the last year or so it has been
REALLY BAD AGAIN!!!!
THIS IS HER 3RD SURGERY
TO FIX IT!
THIS IS HER 3RD SURGERY
TO FIX IT!
After agonizing over it and waiting "to see"
she decided to have hip surgery.
That was 5(?) years ago.
Fast forward-hip surgery was
NOT SUCCESSFUL SO IT HAS TO BE REDONE!
I know hip surgery is pretty routine today
but it is still scary when it is happening to you.
Please say a prayer for her
today and tomorrow.
Her surgery is happening tomorrow.
I am praying the doctor has a great morning
and is feeling good overall when he operates.
Thank you so much
for your prayers for a successful surgery,
no complications,
and a quick recovery.
Jettie will read your comments here
in a day or so.
Oh-Yeah-
pray for her critters,too.
She has BO & CH...
both strays that she adopted.
has to take care of them and he
"house critters"...
(although he has been known to pet them
when he thinks no one is looking).
As always,
if you don't pray,
please send
healing thoughts and well-wishes
Jettie's way.
Thanks so much-
Have a great day!
Ted Update:
Susie said yesterday that Ted was doing well.
He had his last chemo treatment yesterday
and, so far, is tolerating the
transplant nicely.
He has some rough days ahead of him
but yesterday was a good day.
Keep him and Susie in your
thoughts and prayers.
Off and running---
Question of the day:
When are you too old to stop running?
Answer:
Diana, Jettie has to get that hip into shape so she can attend the Academy Awards when they make a movie from her book! I bet she will ask your advice on what to wear. Maybe she could use the same hairstyle as the first photo? Hope all goes well! Also, prayers for Susie and Ted, thanks for letting us know. x
ReplyDeleteI actually wondered why she was being so "familiar" in a photo with Mr Twitty! Sending good thoughts an prayers her way. Having to go through that surgery once would be enough for me, but twice has got to be nerve wrecking. Hope it sticks this time!
ReplyDeleteWell...No secret..l'm a Catholic..Not a practising
ReplyDeleteCatholic..No! I'm very good at it..!!! :).
That's what l tend to say now~a~days..But! I still
pray, whether l know a person of not..and have even
prayed for pussy~cats l've known on line, in Blogs,
that have passed on..over the bridge..!
And! Yeah! Prayer works..does it ever, no need to get
on yer hands/knees, pray walking down the street, in
the bath..careful with the loofah though! :o).
So..Prayers for Jettie..That she'll overcome her health
problems..the black/white portrait above is very nice,
l think B/W photos have more depth and realness, than
colour!
And prayers for the 'critters' as well..musn't leave
them out..! :). Bless!
And..good old Ted, sounds like he's gett'in there...
And..Not forgetting Susie of course..God! Bless!
HaHa! I have'nt stopped running since the day l was
born, well, ten months actually, that's when l took
my first steps..and l'm still running, and as l always
say..jokingly..the FBI..CIA..CID..will never catch me! :o).
God! Bless! One and all...!!!

ReplyDeleteMy cousin recently had hip surgery, then 2 dislocations and then the same hip replaced again. I hope for Jetty this goes well.
Hugs to you for being such an angel.
Sending her prayers that she has a much better outcome this time.
ReplyDeleteBad enough to have one surgery, but having to do it over again...it sucks! Will be sending prayers up.
ReplyDeleteI am praying for Jettie and for Ted. I hope Jettie's hip replacement will be successful this time and she will soon be fully recovered and in no pain.
ReplyDeleteDisappointments like having to redo a hip surgery are heartbreaking. I am definitely praying that this surgery goes very well and that Jettie heals quickly and completely. Her hubby does look like Conway Twitty and I am sure that he will do a fabulous job of taking care of the pets. ☺️ Jettie is adorable!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the excellent progress report on Ted. Praying for Susie and Ted that the days will go by quickly and each day brings improvement and healing.
You are going to get a speeding ticket for running so fast!
ReplyDeleteWhile reading I started to cry too for your bloggy friend. We do get attached to our friends. I do remember crying like a baby when Sally of Blue Monday died. My husband couldn't believe it, gosh !
I will immediately pray for her and her critters and specially with my Rosary friends, which always oblique.
Thank you for making us part and you keep well sweetie and never stop blogging cause we love it !
Fabby
A quiet prayer is being said right now. I do not like to see anyone in pain.
