When I put up a prayer request
I often get prayer requests
from other people.
It breaks my heart
that there is so much suffering
in the world.
I will never understand,
this side of heaven,
why good people have to suffer.
My friend Kimberly used to blog.
She no longer blogs but she
requested prayers for her
sister, Karen.
Doesn't she just look like the
nicest lady?
Here is what Kimberly wrote:
My Sis is going through radiation right now for an aggressive breast cancer and is in a lot of pain. Could you say a prayer for her too?
Kimberly wrote quite a bit more, too,
but I felt some of it was too personal
to share.
Also-
Many of you know Carole
She blogs as Katie Isabella.
Her son, Erich, has had a
Here is the last email I got from Carole.
I am ashamed to say it was overlooked in my
email system and I didn't see it for several days.
Here is a portion of the message.
I am writing to ask you and your dear husband John to pray for Erich. His CT scan showed two very suspicious places even though every CT scan and CEA marker has been totally normal all the way through last October. His CEA Count was one (1) every year for the last four years. He had his routine CT scan two weeks ago and that was done with the hope that the oncologist would discharge him. Last Friday we found that will not happen. (He has more battles to fight)
There was more to her email, but I don't want
to violate Erich's privacy too much.
And, last but not least,
And, last but not least,
If you don't pray,
please join me in sending your

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being so gracious to post these pledges for prayers. As always, I remember these names and the bravery they have, and send up a prayer every night in my thoughts.
ReplyDeleteI just found out that our friend Mary in California had heart surgery. She mentioned you had posted something about it and I'm so sorry I missed it. I just love her to pieces. I did send her an email.
Thanks always, Diana,
Jane

All three, will be in my thoughts and prayers and hope for healing and wellness.

You got it....it is sad to hear that so many suffer. Makes me feel so bad when I fuss about my Fibro cause their are so many more that have it a lot worse than that. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeletePraying for all these beautiful people.
ReplyDeleteWill pray for them and always am honored and privileged to do so. Sometimes we never know just how prayers will be answered but they always are.
ReplyDeletePraying for them ALL; as I also ask for prayers for my family; both of my parents now have been diagnosed with cancers [my dad has CLL, my mother diagnosed last week with endometrial cancer - mom is 83, dad is 90], plus they BOTH have many other medical issues, including my father having had a big stroke on his 90th birthday last month and he is still in rehab hospital). So I share MY prayers with all of you, and please share yours with me. Dawn Pinnataro aka GADawn57
ReplyDeleteYes Diana, there is so much pain and suffering, but one day, Praise God it will all go away and there will be no more pain or suffering! Prayers for these 3 souls that God will touch their lives in many ways.
ReplyDeleteDONE. I will keep them in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteLisa
I will keep them in my heart and prayers - I just don't understand how all this is happening! It is so sad. sandie
ReplyDeletePraying...
ReplyDeleteAs we see by your post, cancer does not care if you are older, young, male or female. Prayers for all...
ReplyDeleteI know full well the sadness that discolors our lives. I just lost a cousin at age 45. He had just become engaged and a week later died in his sleep. My brothers wife is battling breast cancer. God does not cause us to go through difficulties, but he is there with his love to give us all, those suffering and their loved ones, strength. Even if the battle is lost he is there for us and cries for us. I pray for his love to surround those facing difficult times.
ReplyDeletePraying.
ReplyDeleteDiana,
ReplyDeleteSending prayers for all!! Thanks so much for visiting!!
Hugs,
Deb
Prayers for all, my goodness.

I will pray for these precious people. Thanks for having the willingness to share.
ReplyDeleteSent up prayers for all three of these precious souls, Diana. Complaining about the weather seems pretty trivial to me now....I should be thanking God for every day I have my health, and stop yammering on about the late spring...shame on me.
ReplyDeleteLots of love to you, dear one.
Debbie
