HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY----FUNNY ON FRIDAY/AD NONSENSE

Sure and there was a lot going on
at the
IRISH DAY FESTIVAL
being held downtown.

'Twas a fine day for the
folks that were Irish
and those that claimed
to be Irish.

Everyone knows that
there is magic surrounding
the Irish.

Flying cars are normal
as are bottles that spray a
FINE GREEN MIST
into the air.

Sure and the lads had a
whale of a time with the
canny Irish lasses
that waved
checkered flags for those
that wanted to race for
the Guinness beer.

Everyone had a great day
except for poor Dickie O'Connor.
He was the one that picked the
short straw and had to
strip naked and act as a
human ice holder.
Thanks be to God,
he had tattooed some
designs on to his upper thighs
years earlier.
People thought he was crazy
when he got tattooed like that-
but he smiled to himself
as he thought---
Who's crazy now?  Huh? Huh?
Still and all- that ice was cold
sitting in his lap that way.

Poor Dickie!
He said he is never attending another
IRISH FEST
in his life.

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY
TO YE!

I got home late yesterday and have
the grandgirls today.
Will share some pictures this coming week
and try to catch up with everyone.

  9. Diana, You are so darn funny. I bet Dickie is wearing a thermal thong. Here's my Irish joke : Did you hear about Shawn O'Reilly that worked at the brewery? He fell into a vat of brew and drowned. The towns folks kept asking, "Did he not know how to swim??" The foreman said , "Swim me arse, he got out three times to take a pee." :):) Only the Irish, aye? Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  26. I would think the Dew would be happy for some extra advertising, silly or not! Have a fun time with your grandkids! We are having our corned beef and cabbage and Irish soda bread on Sunday...a little late. My husband is cooking so I have no control!

  27. Not a Dew fan, but cute ad! My husband comes from Scots-Irish, so I guess he can claim an Irish ancestor or two. Never found any on my side of the tree, I'm basic English and some Wales. Have a super weekend!

  28. Let's see, my grandmother was a FITZGERALD, so I must be Irish too! These good looks must have come from somewhere! LOL! xx
P.S. Mountain Dew was really named after MOONSHINE, a subject I really need to write about since my father's Dad was an EXPERT! (Honestly, he was!)

  29. You are just hilarious! Love these posts, Diana. And of course always love the pics of those darling grands. I don't think I have a drop of Irish blood in my veins unless my Swedish and Danish ancestors didn't tell us the whole story. Blessings on you, friend. Have a wonderful weekend. xo
