She was so sick and tired
of her mother nagging her...
Nag..
Nag..
Nag....
She did
NOT WANT TO
be a ballerina.
And, no amount of
dance classes or
Charm School
influence
could change her mind.
Her Dad had told her she
had the perfect aptitude
to be an Accountant..
because she was good with numbers
and they would teach her how to
and they would teach her how to
BALANCE THE BOOKS.
She was so excited to be accepted
into business school.
into business school.
She proudly
walked into the front door,
just as you see her,
to sign up for
Accounting 101.
Happy Friday- Keep Smiling!

ReplyDeleteOh Diana Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteYou are just to CUTE. Absolutely priceless is this share. I just love it.
I can just see you walking up and down the halls at work balancing charts as well. I double dare you. I want a picture for proof too.
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Love ya girl.
Many hugs and much love, Sherry
Oh, too cute Diana!!! I remember practicing walking with books on my head when I was a kid...I still can't balance a checkbook...lol
ReplyDeleteXO
Very cute. I don't know how you come up with these...very creative. Hope your having a marvelous weekend.
ReplyDeleteWe went to see our accountant today to do our taxes - such fun! But he didn't look anything like her! Happy (almost) first day of spring!!!
ReplyDeleteHow you think this stuff up I'll never know!!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great weekend with sweet cheeks and gang!
Pammie xo (lol)
Adorable commentary ~ that's what I'd do with accounting books. Not as sweetly though!
ReplyDeleteWell.... no matter what she decides to do for a living, she should most definately learn some basic etiquette. Such as.... the toliet paper should hang over not under! The one thing I remember from all of my manners classes is that under says "We're nothing but trash" and over says, "We have class!" For some strange reason that stuck with me and I find myself adjusting other people's toliet paper when visiting their bathrooms. *sigh* Maybe my son is right and I am just a little OCD?????
ReplyDeleteI am just like you!
DeleteOh yes, the t.p. should be over, not under. Nothing wrong with a little OCD...
Delete"Balance her books" - you are too funny! Hope you're having a good weekend. I'm knee deep in paint and it's not going well.
ReplyDeleteHi diana, i wanted to be a ballerina when i was a little girl!! Definently not an accountant!! so, the total opposite of me!! Wish i could balance those books though!! I am so awful with money!
ReplyDeleteHope that you had a lovely weekend!!! hugs and love,
Laura xx
You are so funny and sweet! This is cute!
ReplyDeleteI thought I was following you, but I was wrong. I hope you didn't notice my absence.
Happy Spring!! :-)
XO,
Jane
I remember doing this when I was young(er). Practise makes perfect.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Lisa x
Cute and funny for sure. Have a great weekend, Diana!
ReplyDeleteYes, and does she have a favorite table? (My son is an accountant and he never looks that happy. Ha!)
ReplyDeleteDiana, That is exactly how I balance our checkbook. Works for me. :):)Wishing you a great weekend. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteGood choice -- you can have a lot longer career as an accountant than as a ballerina.
ReplyDeleteVery cute, and I've never seen that ad, although that's not a surprise. If it's not on a British mystery, I probably haven't seen it. LOL But the girl balancing the books (!!) reminds me of when I was a teen and they told you to do that to get good posture. I wonder what they're telling kids today. 'You're going to wreck your posture, bent over your phone all day!' Have a lovely weekend, Diana. xo
ReplyDeleteMakes perfect sense....if mama says yes, daughter says no! ;) Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou are the best With our tales. One never knows what the path of life holds. In this case, things turned out nicely. Take care and have a great weekend.

What a cute post, Diana. Tax season would do me in if I were an accountant. Have a nice weekend. ♥
ReplyDeleteToo cute ~ I think I would fail at accounting and dancing...better stick with baking....haha
ReplyDeleteHey, that looks like Krysten Ritter on Gilmore Girls! (a show I watch all the time). Love her!!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend, Diana.

That is you!!??? What a cutie! The genes are strong in this one!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to be a dancer, not necessarily a ballerina, but mom said lessons were too expensive. *sigh*
I have even written a poem about it. Maybe will share one day on my blog.
Love it!
ReplyDeleteI wonder who you are talking about! Have a great weekend. Blessings, Martha
ReplyDeleteHa! I love the real feeling of balancing the books but numbers do get boring, don't they?
ReplyDeleteShe won't be without a job ever, our only got 2 degrees one in business one in the arts, she works in business in the arts for a film company, if she had not gotten that business degree she would not be working..art is truly a lovely subject one cannot make a living out of it, business/accounting people I mean companies need them all the time, god's blessings to her for taking accounting, she will be employed forever..!
ReplyDeleteCute Diana... I think balancing the numbers will get pretty boring... lol
ReplyDeleteBy the way how far away in Oconomowoc from you... I plan to visit there in the next year or so to see my daughter and grandchildren... I am hoping it's not too far, I'd love to meet up with you and see you in person xox
