This is just too cute to
keep to myself.
A few of you know that
my daughter has moved into a new/old home.
She has the cutest little den in this house.
She painted the heavy old pine wood
with a creamy white paint and found
a down-filled couch, chair, a new rug
and accessories for the room.
It is comfortable and the kids like
spending time in there.
She found a piece that
SweetCheeks drew when she was
six years old.
It was for a school project and is titled
MOTION (or MOVING)
Ready?
Is that not the cutest thing you have ever seen?
Notice the arrows pointing which way they are moving?
I told my daughter that is a
REAL TREASURE!
Good job, SweetCheeks!!!!
She would have been in 1st grade.
Gotta love those dimples like her Daddy has!
Don't you just love dimples?
I do...
welll---except.....
You don't want to see
MY DIMPLES!
Trust me!
If I can twist my daughter's arm
I will show you some pictures of her new home.
She has great taste!
Have a great Thursday!
Love that. That l'il Sweetcheeks is one talented young lady!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that piece of art! That is what it is!! Sweet Cheeks is an artist! Can't wait until she is world famous and I can say I knew her from your blog!! AND you don't want to see my dimples either, LOL. xx
ReplyDeleteThat drawing is a treasure. I'm glad it's framed and hanging on the wall.
ReplyDeleteI love SweetCheeks picture. Of course I am sure it wasn't news to you that she is a creative genius as well as just being all around adorable. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteShe is the cutest - inside and out! I love dimples on others ! Ironically, I have dimples and have never liked them on me!! (Of course, I also have the "other" dimples you alluded to as well, lol...like them even less! Thank goodness for Spanx!) Jane
ReplyDeleteShe is so darn cute as well as her artwork and yes tell your daughter we all said PLEASE :)

ReplyDeleteI love when children's art is framed and displayed. It shows warmth and love in the home.
ReplyDeleteShe is so very talented...action drawings...very nice. She sure is a doll.
ReplyDeleteWhat is sweeter than having framed children's art. I have two framed pieces in the hall that our granddaughters did several years ago.
ReplyDeleteI do hope that your daughter will invite us into her home. I love new, old houses. :)
Great picture and great memory to go with it.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the little pink skirts, which she added!!!! A girly-girl she is for sure.
I was going to say something, concerning the dimples........ But I didn't.... Too much info.
So happy for the happy den!!!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteWhat a treasure! I totally love Sweet Cheek's art. And I can't wait to see pictures of the room.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! I love it. I'd love to see her house!
ReplyDeleteWell, let me just say that SweetCheeks was a better artist at 6 years old than I am today! That's really a good drawing! I'd love to see more of your daughter's home if you can twist her arm a bit. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is adorable.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see more of your daughter's room with the painted paneling. I have a room with the heavy, knotty pine paneling...and I hate it. My kids love it, but they don't live here anymore, so why am I listening to them? I want to paint it when I ever can make time.
ReplyDeleteSweetCheeks is such a doll and I love her artwork!
That is a very special piece. I thought you bought it at a fancy shop. The kid's got talent...and a very cute face! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh that is darling ..sweetcheeks did..she was a dolly too (:)
ReplyDeletehug,Patty
Oh, Diana, talk about your memories! She must be quite an artist to do that well in first grade. That's how my Dad was. No, I don't want to see your dimples, cuz I bet they are in the same place as mine! But, SC's are perfect. What a sweet little lady she is becoming and tell daughter that we would all be ever so grateful to see her lovely home..Happy Thursday..Judy
ReplyDeleteOmg Diana prints need to be made of Sweet Cheeks early art - seriously prints! Too precious. I have dimples (in my face) men love them - I hate them. At least where yours are they are hidden, just kidding,
ReplyDeletexoxo
Sweet Cheeks is most definitely an artist. She understood animation at that age? Wow---I hope she is persuing this interest! ♥
ReplyDeleteThat truly is a treasure and I would most definitely like seeing pics of the home. Kids these days are so clever. I remember I didn't like drawing at that age because some older child made some remark about the skinny legs on the nurse I drew. Weird memory. So, the people who did the big C for you got a look at your dimples?!
ReplyDeleteDiana, I love that picture...it is art. I have framed a coupler pictures my granddaughter did when she was very young. I need to frame some of Emma's art...she is very good. I love the sweet photo of SC. So cute. Hope you had a great day. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteThat was an excellent job from my point of view - highly intelligent - and charmingly done. Of course it was by Sweet Cheeks - who else?

Adorable and such a treasure to keep forever! Sweet Cheeks is a beautiful little girl!
ReplyDeleteThat is very amazing art for her age at the time! It also shows she had an idea of the mechanics of movement! I am glad it was framed and will be treasured!
ReplyDeleteTwist her arm hard! I want to see pictures! That Sweet Cheeks does have some sweet cheeks and she's very talented. I would treasure her artwork, too.

Sweet Cheeks is really quite the artist. Love the darling motion picture! I had big dimples as a child, but now are mostly gone. Could it be that I have fat cheeks now instead of sweet ones? lol!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
