Here I am again as promised!
Second week in a row for
NEW WORD WEDNESDAY!
Second week in a row for
NEW WORD WEDNESDAY!
Here is another
NEW WORD
to add to your repertoire.
Today's word is brought to you by
Lulu, when she was age 3.
The word for today is
LASTERDAY.
It is pronounced
LAST-TUR-DAY.
This is composed of two common words.
LAST and YESTERDAY.
.
Let's use this in a sentence.
LASTERDAY I went to Disney World
and I saw Piglet there.
Doesn't that word make
PERFECT SENSE?
What does YESTER mean anyway?
LASTERDAY can be ANY DAY
BEFORE today!
LASTERDAY can be ANY DAY
BEFORE today!
Just so you know,
LASTERDAY-
Lulu's sister was human
Today she is....
well, see for yourself.....
I guess she was sleeping standing up...
You have a great TODAY and I hope
YOUR LASTERDAY
was a wonderful one, too.
I love and miss my husband today much more than I did Lasterday.
ReplyDeleteLove it!
Hugs,
Kelley~
Cute! Love the pretty white dresses they were wearing! Lasterday was beautiful thisterday is wet and rainy! :-)
ReplyDeleteHa ha...The sun will come out tomorrow because it didn't come out lasterday. Look it works...it's a real word.
ReplyDeleteVery cute and I love these photos of the girls.
ReplyDeleteThe young woman who styled my hair for our wedding 100 years ago (lol) name was Tomorrow. She was a TWIN! I always wanted to ask if her twin was named Yesterday!!!!! (it was some ordinary name like Tammy)
I like that word! My daughter would call tomorrow, "today tomorrow." I'll never figure that one out! lol
ReplyDeleteIt is cute and sweet to watch little ones grow and hear how that understand words. It's always good to learn new words!
ReplyDeletethat is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteDiana, I love these new words. LOL...I told my husband last week's new word...he liked it. I think he will use at his next drs. visit. :):) I liked Mildred's comment.:):) I truly love the spin kids put on words. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteMy daughter had a kneebow! Love how kids mix up word, some adults too.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! All our kids had a 'yesternight' for last night. Kids come up with the cutest things!
ReplyDeleteDiana,
ReplyDeleteI love a visit here! Puts a smile on my face. So here's my sentence " Lasterday my stress level was so high I broke out in hives."
Sending fun day wishes to you.
xoxo,
Vera
Never a dull moment on your blog. I love the words and thoughts from a child. So honest and innocent.
ReplyDelete"Lasterday was gloomy, today rainy!" My spellcheck does not recognize that word. Lol Too funny. ;)

Great word! Definitely an improvement over yesterday! I mean, what is a yester? lol
ReplyDeleteI love it!! Little kids have the BEST vocabularies (most of the time). :)
ReplyDeleteSo precious what kids say!!
ReplyDeleteMakes perfect sense to me!

ReplyDeleteToo cute. Kids make a lot more sense than we do. This is my featured post on TO40s Wednesday share. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteOut of the mouths of babes!
ReplyDeleteI had a student who couldn't understand why prettiful wasn't a word if beautiful was.
That is so cute! I have a niece who didn't realize that jamp was not the past tense of jump until she started high school. Her parents had thought it so cute that no one had the heart to correct her. Lol. I will be using 'lasterday.' :-)
ReplyDeleteOh that is a cute on Diana! I love it LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteRead the post Subject Line...
ReplyDeleteGot scared. Very scared...
OK, have to read the post. I am brave. I can do it. I am brave.

ReplyDeleteBut you know, with your FIRST new word on Wednesday... You know... -grin-
LOL, yes, sweet word. Very sweet.
I like this word! Very cute. Let's see if I can put it in a sentence. Today is just like Lasterday...it's still raining. Bummer. Hope your day is bright and sunny!

cute photo of her
ReplyDeleteOk, now I am totally confused! But then again, I was confused Lasterday, too:) I have been know to make up words myself. Here's one: Tomorgen. What does it mean? Well, combine "tomorrow", and "morgen", which means "morning" in German, and you get To-mor-gen!!!!!
ReplyDeleteTomorrow Morning!!!
LASTERDAY ! I love it. Isn't it great the words little ones come up with? My son did that when he was little. Right now I can't remember one. It's been about 28 years :) And with about 10 years of chemo brain, not sure if i will ever remember them. :( Bummer. Oh well, they are cute when they are little.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling much better, Diana...
Janet W hugs
I forgot to visit Lasterday, so I'm here today.
ReplyDeleteYou could start a whole new dictionary there grandma!
ReplyDeletewow...I'm wondering what her grandma looks like? Love lasterday! so much more sensible than yesterday. I think I will steal it.
ReplyDeleteIf that word was from when Lulu was 3, then it's not too new is it?? Sorry..I couldn't resist...It's new to me for sure..Have to wonder how you remember it..Hope you had a super day!!
ReplyDeleteLove the new word! Sometimes I think the words kids come up with make a lot more sense than the real words. :)
ReplyDeleteLasterday works for me - I know what it means, you know what it means - you can't ask for more than that. How about afterday instead of tomorrow?
ReplyDeleteLasterday, both Mr.Sweet and I were whining because we were both sick...but he wins 'cause I am well today. nearly..xo
ReplyDeleteWorks for me! Too cute!
ReplyDeleteSo cute!
ReplyDeleteLasterday I had no idea this word existed -- but today, I do. AND... It makes perfect sense to me!
ReplyDeleteThree-year-olds aren't the only ones to come up with new words I can assure you :-)
ReplyDeleteMy 87-year-old mother can come up with them too - as she did at Christmas here: http://myalzheimersstory.com/2014/12/22/we-wish-you-a-skreely-everything/
Skreely may be used at any time of the year, not just during the festive season <3 it may also be combined with other new words as in:
"I had a skreely lasterday!"
