Look What I Found In My Mailbox

I meant to post this
BEFORE EASTER
but I didn't get around to it.
So-you are getting it today.

You know how it is when you have a
REALLY CRAPPY BAD DAY?
Well, I had a couple of those last week.
Anyway, my highlight was that
SweetCheeks came home with me for
a couple of days.
We stopped at the mailbox
and THIS was inside a package
I received.
That was the SECOND HIGHLIGHT of my day!

Each piece was wrapped in tissue paper
and tied up so sweetly.
SweetCheeks helped unwrap things.
She was pretty excited.
Then she asked me:
Nana, Why do people you
DON'T EVEN KNOW
send you things?
I explained that I did know them
through my blog.
She said-
Those are NOT REAL people, Nana!

So...just so y'all know-
You are NOT REAL....
I guess you are all figments of my imagination.

Close up of the sweet handmade card-

Some SWEET candy-
Someone liked those
ORANGE CANDIES
quite well.
I had to arm wrestle them away!

A sweet tag---
Now- I am NOT SAYING that my friend
thinks I am a
DUMB BLOND...
BUT- you see these CLAY handmade
SPECKLED EGGS>
She included a note that says
DO NOT EAT THE CLAY EGGS.
DON'T EAT THE CLAY EGGS?
Do you know what this
DUMB BLOND
has to say about THAT?
Now I am not saying
WHO sent me these things
but if you LIKE pretty things
you MIGHT BE ABLE to
find something similar here
@ MyShabbyChateauEtsy

Like I said-
Not saying who sent those things but I
Love that Donna!

I'll be around later,
I am pushing the guys around
over at the VA today.

  8. Such a "sweet" gift. Maybe since we are not real, the candy doesn't have any real calories - wouldn't that be nice? So cute how excited kids get opening packages. When my kids were younger, the best part about my birthday was seeing how excited they were to give me their gifts!

  9. Too funny...I think I would have needed the written directions because when I saw the photos I thought ...ooh, robins eggs I love those. Your not real friend is a good egg (pun intended).

  11. Happy Mail! Love happy mail! That's what my family thinks of my blogging buddies. They're not quite sure what to think once I have met them. That's okay. I'm fine with keeping them confused. I consider my blogging buddies among my dearest friends for so many reasons.

  12. Oh boy. Maybe that's why I broke my tooth last week. I thought those eggs were edible.:/

  13. Beautiful things!

And Sweet Cheeks is right! We are not real.

We are digital figments, floating around in the ethernet.

  14. Hahahaha, well we wouldn't want you to chip a tooth or anything, Diana!!!! I am not at all surprised that "unreal" people send you gifts, because you are so sweet yourself! For REAL! Thank you so much for giving a shout out to my Etsy Shop! You are the best. Oh, and I am a "real" blond, too:)

  16. Good Morning, I love Sweet Cheeks. She gives me a chuckle when most needed. I love the pictures in your previous post. It was so much fun seeing the family and how they are growing. WE are real, we just have a different way of communicating. Have fun pushing around those vets. I know that they appreciate it very much. Have a wonderful day. 17. Laughing here what sweet cheeks said. Ya sweet cheeks people candy fairies think of that like that Sweet Cheeks at Easter. just like your tooth fairy.

So this particular Easter fairy flew over and dropped in your mail for Nanna what you unwrapped. . How cool is that?

  22. I laugh because I think that family and friends that do not blog think that our blog friends are a figment of our imagination!
Rolling eyes and shaking heads when you say, " One of my blog friends shared the cutest story . . . the best recipe . . .
While rooting for Wisconsin last night . . . who was I thinking of? YOU! The imaginary blonde of Green Bay!
...and what more can I say about that adorable imaginary Sweet Cheeks? Gotta LOVE her candid nature! I bet she enjoyed a few bites of the REAL candy! How sweet is Ms Shabby Chateau!

  27. What a thoughtful and sweet package of lovely Easter gifts. And how nice that SC experienced this random act of kindness - she's paying attention and learning, so it was great timing.

Donna is a sweetheart to be sure. That's so wonderful of a gift.

  28. Since you received gift from a not real person, one can only assume the calories in the candy is unreal as well! Works for me. Jane

  29. Ha Ha I was just going to say the same thing Jane said above. If we are not real then the candy is not real so no calories lol! Love Sweet Cheeks. What a sweet surprise to get in the mail. Donna is the greatest. Have a wonderful day.

  32. so cute! Haha I have found myself talking about my blog and "real life" as if they're two different things. I might be a little nicer and more censored on my blog than I am in real life but pretty much it's all the same! Haha. I'm glad your imaginary friends and some good candy shared with your granddaughter pulled you out of the dumps! as long as your sense of humor stays in the gutter!

  38. Diana, I think you have the bestest friends because you are such an incredible friend! I just wish you lived closer, I'd lose weight by laughing so much when I spent time with you. WE would get into such trouble! You are a gem and deserve all the love you get and more. Speaking of grands-i took 4 of my granddaughters shopping for fabric to make pillowcases for sewing-do you want to know what it cost me...they work out to almost $20 for each case-oh my land! The things we do. Oh well, so thankful we can do and we have such wonderful girls to give to.
Hope you have a great week.

Blogging friends are precious in deed. I remember when I first started blogging and you had a giveaway, and though I didn't win you were so gracious in sending me a Star Bucks gift card, just because...
Your gift is lovely and how kind of your friends Donna to think of you.

    Have a wonderful week.
