Our new word today is brought to us by
SWEET CHEEKS!
She has always had a whole
repertoire of her
OWN WORDS
that she developed as she
learned to talk.
Your new word today is
HORRUNGUS!
Here is how it is pronounced
HOR-EE-UNGUS
Here is how it is pronounced
HOR-EE-UNGUS
HORRUNGUS is composed of two words:
Horrid & Humongous.
This is an example of something
HORRUNGUS!
Hmmmm....Kinda looks like
MyHero when he gets up in the morning.
Of course, that would be
BEFORE COFFEE!
Here is what
HORRUNGUS
looks like at Walmart!
Although this may just be more
HORRID
but is not a comment on size...
As usual, your mission for the week
is to be able to use
HORRUNGUS
at least once this week.
And you can't use Walmart, either,
I already did!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
I already did!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
You have me laughing again this morning!
ReplyDeleteToooooo Cute!!
ReplyDeleteI like that word! Good invention, Sweet Cheeks!
ReplyDeleteCute- and I understand this language as I've been known to do this myself! That photo of the gal at WalMart is beyond words!
ReplyDeleteYa gotta love Sweet Cheeks. She says it like it is!

Diana, You know Walmart has the best choices in Horrungus around.... next place would be Gas America service stations.. They come out with a soda that takes two hands and some times the crook of their arms, cigarettes and scratch off tickets. Ewwwe. I always say, if your soda take two hands to carry, you may be drinking too much soda. LOL. Some people need a list of priorities, I guess. I am glad you posted about sweet cheeks....I have missed her. Have fun today, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeletethat child has an amazing imagination!
ReplyDeleteOh Sweet Cheeks is a clever one! That word can be used at so many places, won't mention!! :)
ReplyDeleteDue to the weather, I had a horrungus headache yesterday.
ReplyDeleteOh how cute Diana. I love the made up words a phrases kids come up with. I remember when Grace called cheerleaders "team girls" and Michael would refer to the cashier at the grocery store the "paying station". So wonderful how their little miinds work.
ReplyDeleteHope you are enjoying a beautiful spring day!
XO Barbara
I'll have some fun using that word on my grand daughter....lol!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great one! (I'm pleading the Fifth on the Walmart thing. To be honest, the worst I've done there is to run to pick up a necessary thing or two while wearing dirty gardening clothes. Even then, I wasn't the worst dressed person in the place.)
ReplyDeleteDiana,
ReplyDeleteI love SweetCheeks word! But with the Walmart photo I'm just wordless! I guess in her world no mirrors exist!
xoxo,
Vera
Horrungus, that woman poll dancing.
ReplyDeleteGreat new word! Well done, Sweet Cheeks! Now just when I am wondering WHAT Wal*Mart? Where?! I am remembering a group of young people who looked stoned or emaciated and then we realized that they were dressed in wild animal skins. I kid you not. When we went outside, we saw one of the young men seated on the ground leaning against the building wearing antlers! If I had a camera, I might have taken a photo. Apparently they were living in the woods and were getting pretty hungry, not to mention dirty. We did consider calling the police because those kids needed an intervention. Oh my! Now that's another story I've not told.
ReplyDeleteJalen and I don't make up words....but we agree that we can be goofy at times and that is good. I'll have to think for a bit on HORRUNGUS. I am off to grandparents day at his school this morning.
ReplyDeleteThat's a super word from Sweet Cheeks! I'd say it suits several occasions.😉xo Nellie
ReplyDeleteHa! Funny!
ReplyDeleteLove this word! It really should be added to the dictionary, as I can think of many times I could have used it. :) Good job, Sweet Cheeks!
ReplyDeleteLove the word! I have a pregnant kitty with a belly so horrungus! She is going to pop anytime now.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great word! Love Sweet Cheeks and her fantastic wit and imagination! So happy you used Walmart for all of us! Sometimes I just say, "what were they thinking?"- or maybe not thinking!
ReplyDeleteUgh! That last picture ruined my appetite! Why do people go out in public like that?? Do they not have mirrors in their homes??
ReplyDeleteboy!
ReplyDeleteyou can tell when she's feeling GOOD! her little face just shines.
and yes.
i will dutifully use that wonderful word. the beep beep beep of a backing up truck up on the highway ALL day as they build a WHATEVER...
is HORRUNGUS!!!!
almost as horrungus as that walmart shopper's grimey knees! ewwww!
Okay, found a way to use your sweet granddaughter's word. We got a HORRUNGUS amount of rain this morning, and it's Mud City out in my yard! Glad I was able to move those day lilies yesterday! NOT today!
ReplyDeleteHI Diana
ReplyDeleteOh how fun is that..she is such a dolly too.have a good week too...
hugs,Patty
I tried commenting on this early this morning but my phone was acting up, so I had to hop back over! Super funny that Sweet Cheeks and you crack me up with that picture! Love the word and I'm sure it can often be used at Walmart among many other places these days!
ReplyDeleteThanks for my morning chuckle...
Blessings,
Cindy
Oh Diana... Once again you have me in stitches!
ReplyDeleteI just said to my husband " its Wednesday and I must go and see what our word for the day is" glad I didn't miss it. :-)
Wow! That's quite the man you wake up to in the morning.
I really have a hard time comprehending people in wall mart and their mug shots.
Just amazing! And I worry about what I look like when I go to town?
I will certainly use my new word this week.
Enjoy your day,
Debbie
What a great word! And I am sorry to say but that is how I look in the morning before coffee :{ High fives to your Hero!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!!! :)
No fair!!! You made Walmart off limits! Lol. Today I saw a similar sight and made a comment, not where anyone could hear, after which Mr. Conscience (aka Mr. C.) called me judgmental. I truly wasn't but knew how miserable she must be feeling. So there, Mr. C.! I simply think so many don't know that feeling better is easily within their reach. Now I'll stop with my HORRUNGOUS comment.
ReplyDeleteHonestly I don't think I can come up with anything more horrungus than those Wal Mart photos. I can't believe they actually allow people to shop in their stores that dress like that!!
ReplyDeleteGreat word-I vote for a publishing of "The New Edition Sweet Cheeks Dictionary!"
Sweet angel of death - where do you find these pictures, Diana!?!
ReplyDeleteThings at work will be horrungus this week with humongus amounts of paperwork to be dealing with and horrid paper cuts from said paperwork!
Such a cute pic of SweetCheeks! I saw a HORRUNGUS-ly dressed woman when I was grocery shopping today. (and no, it was NOT at Walmart!). She was built like, well, the woman in the photo, wore skin tight super short shorts (which showed off her very well endowed pasty white legs), and was wearing short little "bootie" style boots...................
ReplyDeleteFor me...that word would probably be used to describe a headache...yep, that's the kind I get! Sweet Cheeks is such a cutie! And, I think I'll just stay away from "W" thank you very much :) Blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteDo you ever think that SweetCheeks has a face shaped like Reese Witherspoon? Look at her little chin. She's darling.
ReplyDeleteI will get plenty of opportunities to use her word...especially when I have to clean up one of Jack Henry's horrungus "accidents". ;)
Did they kick you out of the VA yet for all your shameless flirting? I bet you received a couple of new marriage proposals!
xoxo, T.
Oh my, what are some people thinking when they leave the house! I think that word is a close cousin to humungus!! That is one I used as a kid for something large!
ReplyDeleteOh, that SweetCheeks has a vocabulary all on her own, doesn't she? Such a sweet post, Diana, and I am enjoying all these new words, and trying to figure out what they all mean haha because I know they mean something to this precious child. :~)
ReplyDeletelove, ~Sheri
Would that be before your coffee or his?? Amazing the words kids come up with..
ReplyDeleteI have to say that your walmart picture fits Sweet Cheeks new word perfectly, lol!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great word! Sweet Cheeks is a smart and creative girl. I was just at Walmart today for groceries, and I'm happy to report I didn't see anything like that today. LOL!
ReplyDeleteHahahahaha!!! Love me some Sweet Cheeks, word Wednesday and hump day!!!<3

That indeed is a great word.... I might have to get creative on using that for the week, since you all ready used it with Walmart! Oh boy!
ReplyDeleteSweet Cheeks is just a doll... I love her smile!
Have a wonderful day, Diana!
Hugs, Amy
Sweet Cheeks did it again ... :) My mind is already racing to see how I can use the word horrungus. :) :) :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings sweet friend!
Once again the creative vocabulary is fab-tastic.
ReplyDeleteThat adorable child keeps you so entertained! The only thing I know about the word that fits perfectly is that I'm positive I look "horrungus" every morning of my life. Especially NAKED! Yeah. That's it. Perfect word to discribe me! I would send a pic..but..I would have to cover up face to protect the innocent..and that would be cheating. It takes the entire ....anyway. You get the point. Sweetcheeks does it again!! :):)
ReplyDeleteI've been on a journey back in time. One of those early video's made me burst out laughing. Toy's in the attic...tooo darned cute!

I came across a picture today of a 'Walmart worthy' man in a thong on a bike. I thought of you for some strange reason. lol
ReplyDeleteAs always whenever I see one of these "Walmart" lovelies I don't know whether to laugh hysterically or to wretch violently - Horrungus may not go quite far enough to describe this beauty.
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA. That is definitely a great word! She is a keeper!
ReplyDeleteI just laughed the entire way through this post, Diana. Do you laugh when you write them? You must! Thanks for the chuckle! xo
ReplyDeleteSuch a funny post, your granddaughter is so cute.
ReplyDeleteI love these words! When I eat to much I feel HORRUNGUS!

Oh. my. Gosh. That last photo leaves me speechless. I can't even come up with a new word let alone an old one. What are people thinking?
ReplyDeleteThe doctor and his wife and sister-in-law were horrungus people, I was working with ! UGH! Great share, have a nice weekend.
