ReplyDeleteI've gotten that screen too, but I closed it,then tried to add the blog again and it said you are already following this so I figured it took. Now I'm not sure.
ReplyDeleteI have got the "try again" one before and would try again and it worked, this must be something new.
ReplyDeleteMaybe that's why I haven't had any new followers for some time on GFC.

-There I installed the Blogger Gadget, to *Follow* blogs.
-New posts on blogs I want, show up there.
-My so-called-"Following" of blogs, is totally private. No hard feelings, if I cease to "Follow" any.
-It is OBVIOUS that I am "Following" people's blogs---Because I regularly COMMENT in them.
Works for me.

ReplyDeleteYep! I have gotten that message and I did the same thing you said. But then last night I tried to follow someone and now I'm not getting any options, just a big blank screen with an error message. Do you know why it's doing this? Is Google wanting to get rid of GFC? Yes, I have a had friends try to sign up with GFC and have trouble doing so. I hope you don't mind if I use this on my blog and for future people that want join my blog and leave a link to this. It will be very helpful for the future. Thanks for explaining this situation so well!

ReplyDeleteHello, If you have tried once to follow and it did not go through it will tell you, that you are all ready following, so now you get a blank page that says ERROR. Wish we all could just keep this thing simple. Are they just trying to get us all on Google Plus?

Yes! I tried following two blogs yesterday and I got an "sorry no can do message". Hope they get that fixed soon!

Well, incredibly, Diana, my page looks nothing like any of that. I am still having the problem but have thrown together a folder with everyone's page in it so at least I can blog walk and comment. I"ll still get with you later and see if we can think of anything to fix this darn thing. Oh, and one other tidbit, it also tells me my browser is not supported, that I need IE 9 or up.......I have 11, go figure. I'll talk to you later. Surgery is almost here and SO much to do :D Later, my so-much-like-me friend :D

ReplyDeleteDiana, LOOK LOOK LOOK! I'm there in followers! Hot damn. Took forever. I think I have a different and very old version of blogger. What I noticed was, I do not have a 'dashboard' button at the top of my blog anymore, so I used a bunch of back doors to get to it and wham, finally. Now I can add whom I want to follow AND I can see the latest updates. All of that used to be by only one press of a button. It's ok, I made a reminder txt, hahaha. Can't keep this old lady down for long, no sirrreee. :D

ReplyDeleteWell.....for some reason I could not follow you with my Google account because when I pressed the button to follow up came the screen that said, "webpage cannot be found" I must have tried it 4 times. THEN I went to my Yahoo account, I am signed up and following you but under an alias....Joseph....but it's a girls picture. Not exactly sure how this all transpired......but now I am in the loop under my husbands name...hahahahaha

ReplyDeleteDiana, thanks for taking care of us AGAIN. We love you!! This hasn't happened to me yet, but will jot down in case. The problem I have is I sign up for E-mail to come into my in box when a certain blog puts out a new post, I'm supposed to be notified. It comes from FeedBurner. Some are doing OK but some are not coming through and when I try to go back it just says 'you are already signed up' and that's it. Do you have this happen to you?..Judy
