Prayer Request UPDATES on Jettie AND Vonda and SNOWEDOUTATLANTA link

Yesterday, here, I asked you to pray
for my good friend, Jettie,
and her kitties and her hubby Conway Twitty

Last night I heard from her daughter, K.
When I left the hospital, Mom was doing fine.  Her only complaint was that the bed was hurting her back.  Doctor said the ball had a flat spot and the socket was full of bone spurs so it was no wonder she was in such pain.  He said she should feel a major difference immediately.  Tomorrow will be the worst and should get gradually better from now on.  They will start her therapy in the morning.  I will go visit at lunch and after work and give everyone an update afterward.  Thank you all for your prayers.
And-
A couple of days ago I got an update on
Vonda.
Her prayer request was here.
Great news!!!  Vonda woke up!!!!!!!.
An Infectious Disease doctor came in to see her today since she was not improving, disagreed with everything her pulmonologist did and took her... off of the vent a few hours ago. She is doing great and was able to wake up this time. This is truly a miracle from God considering she was requiring high sedation and ventilator support earlier today and all previous attempts to wean have failed! She received only 2 doses of her new medicine but no other major changes were made. Thank you everyone for keeping her in your prayers and please continue to pray that she only progresses from here.Vonda, You are a trooper!

Thank you all for your prayers.
Continue to pray for recovery
for both of them when you can.

Updated at 9:10 am to add:
IF you want to read about the goodness of
our fellow countrymen and read some
heart wrenching stories go to
Facebook- SnowedOutAtlanta
That should take you right to the site.
You will end up in tears at the goodness
and sadness you see there.

Come back tomorrow.
I have something to show you.
Nothing too "fishy" if you know what I mean
You don't!

  16. God is so good! I have been seeing so many prayer requests in the last week, that it is difficult to keep them straight and I fear I am leaving someone out. I started thinking yesterday about, perhaps, doing some sort of prayer request link on my sidebar that could be visited by anyone who wanted to have some sort of list...Just a thought, don't know whether I'm organized enough to pull something like that off..My heart is heavy with so many needs.
Thank you so much for taking the time to let us know of the requests that come to you.
    Blessings and love. xo

  22. Thanks be to God.
In Atlanta, I have read of folks going to people in their stranded cars with bottles of water and food and offering what assistance that they can. God bless them!
And God bless all those who help in times of need.

  24. So glad that everyone is doing better now! I live north of Atlanta, and was watching the news coverage of all the traffic jams going on yesterday. I was shocked to see it go on ALL NIGHT! People slept in their cars or in stores or churches. Just crazy! There was even a baby delivered on the road in a car. I was happy to be safe at home, but my husband was at work all night. He was nervous taking the fire truck out on the icy roads too. He came home today after he felt it was safe enough to get home. It's the little back roads that are the problem. The main highways are pretty good now.

  25. So glad to hear that the surgery went well, and that Vonda woke up and is responding! Kudos to her new doctor for standing up and disagreeing with a fellow colleague. And yes, it is just crazy down here. Everything shut down tomorrow as well since most roads are still icy, and what has thawed is starting to refreeze.

  26. I am so glad about Vonda - she was on my prayer list!
And alas I am in Atlanta - and it took my husband 24 hours to go 30 miles to get home to us. It is awful here.

  32. Praise God! There is such power in collective prayer...."When two or more are gathered in my name..." The mess in ATL is very similar to what we had here in early Dec. Folks were stranded on freeways up to 26 hours...just horrific! So many angels finally made it to help them. Can you even imagine???? We all need to keep ATL in our prayers for awhile now.
