It is amazing how connected we are to
other bloggers.
We share their joys, their sorrows
and, unfortunately. their tragedies.
A few months ago I asked for prayers
for Beth Marie at
after her cancer surgery.
She has been on a long road to recovery
and has now been hit with another
life altering situation.
Here is what Ramblinon posted about Beth:
Beth's area was badly stricken by a tornado including Beth's home. She happened to have been in a restaurant with her son when the tornado came through. It blew out a window in her kitchen throwing shards into the living room. Beth would have been in the kitchen then making supper for her son and herself but The Lord is good. There is no power of course and she said roofs were torn off other apartments there but hers remains. A fallen tree destroyed the laundry room, and she and her son had to walk 10 blocks to get back and discover all of this as the police had already roped off the area. There was debris everywhere making the walk difficult.I, personally, don't understand why
God allows bad things to happen to good people.
I know it is not ours to quesstion why-
but that doesn't make it any easier to accept sometimes.
Please, please, please pray for
Beth Marie.
You can leave a message here on my blog
for her and,
when she gets a chance,
she will check in
to read your comments.
God bless you, Beth Marie.
We are ALL praying for you
and for your whole community!
and for your whole community!

ReplyDeleteDiana,
ReplyDeleteMy prayers are going out to Bethmarie. My daughter has been volunteering to help down in that area for the last two days. She said the devastation is horrible. People have lost so much. It is very sad but the nice thing is people that have had everything taken by this storm are positive about rebuilding their lives. This is where faith and believing in God will see them through.
Kris

Praying for Beth and her son and so many others who were in the paths of the storms that just tore through so many communities this past Sunday. Glad she is ok and wasn't at home when it happened. God knows what he's doing. Just a good lesson on where to place your energy. On things that can be gone in a heartbeat or on things eternal.
ReplyDeleteI am a friend of Beth's - but I have been late reading blogs. I know she has had cancer and I pray that is over for her. And I did not know about her home. But Beth - I will continue to pray. I don't know why bad things happen to good people. I know people ask 'why me' but I guess sometimes I ask myself 'why not me'? We will find out some day I am sure.
ReplyDeleteLove, sandie
Diana, I'm so sorry to hear about Beth Marie; having gone through a tornado here in Colorado five years ago, I know first hand of the destruction. Thankful that the Lord protected her. Unfortunately we live in a fallen world where bad things happen all the time; doesn't make it any easier except knowing others are upholding Beth. Praying for the Lord's provision for her!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Noreen

We have been out of power seven hours in my area . Monday.
Our best friends two days. They came over to our place last night and in the day we all met over at the Restaurant in a town where they had power. Wires down in many towns.
