GOING-GOING-GONE A Quick Post

Wisconsin really has some of the most
beautiful sunsets.
We are lucky enough to see it
disappear into the water.
The little kids think it SINKS
into the water and I make a
sizzling sound with my mouth
as if the water is being touched
by the sun---szzzzzzzzt.
Yep-these kids are gonna grow
up warped.

What's hiding behind that tree?
I move to the right a bit for a better view.
GOING
GOING---
GOING (yep-one extra going-couldn't resist)
GONE!!!
Doesn't the sky look like it is on fire?
Sssssssshhhhhhhh-
All is quiet and calm-
Or IS it?
How about a little
TROPICAL TREAT, boys?
It'll help you sleep
Is it safe to give a Mai Tai to a kid in a baby bottle?
Just kidding MOM- I would NEVER do that-
or would I?

  2. What a gorgeous sunset Diana!!!
I never thought of a Mai Tai for medicinal purposes - think I could use one of them every night then lol!!!
Have a wonderful long weekend girlfriend!
You must be exhausted - but what a wonderful way to tire yourself out - they're adorable ( the boys - not the Mai Tai's )

  3. Hahaha, you crack me up, girl.

Ah - that sunset....the sunset of my youth growing up on an island with beautiful Great Lake Erie as a backyard. Sigh. I am so danged homesick for water - this is the first summer I haven't visited even once. I have a mind to head up today, I swear!

Love this post - and sizzle sounds as it hits? Oh yes, been there, done and heard that lol.

    Have a wonderful holiday weekend.

  12. Beautiful scenes. Sounds as if the kids are still ready to keep on going. Blessed me, my grands are so well trained for bedtime that, if I keep them up ten minutes later, they're begging for sleep. Love that!

  18. Yep, that's our Wisconsin! :-) Born and raised here, have always loved it - sunrise, sunset, and everything in between - until you get to January 7. From January 7 until April 15, I find myself whining and complaining about the neverending winter. lol

Cute photos of the kids. :-)

  19. One thing I miss about living in Cali is the ocean. Oklahoma has lakes...but we are far from most of them. Nothing like what you've shared. Beautiful my friend.

Things are the same here. But trusting God WITHOUT FEAR for better tomorrows!

    Love you girl~

  20. Beautiful sunset!! I hope your lake doesn't put out the sun with all that sizzling etc... Well if the sun doesn't come up tomorrow at least I know where to go looking. What a fun moment to share with the Grands!

  21. Diana,
Toooooo cute! I can just hear the little ones giggling. Wish mine could be that little again.... even if for just one day.
I so enjoy the early morning. Seeing the sun rise is one of my greatest pleasures. I usually take my precious pup for a walk around the gardens. I love the dew and the morning blooms. I work in my gardens early in the morning and late in the evening. LOL! My husband always yells at me that it's getting dark..... as if I didn't know it. Tooooo hot to be out there in the middle of the day.
Wishing you and your family a happy and safe Labor Day!!
    Luv, Luv,
    Elizabeth

  48. HI Diana!!!
We only made it up to the NOrthwoods for a long weekend this summer... too much going on with kids so we missed our almost annual week up north in our usual spot.
    GORgeous photos of the sunset.
Which lake do you vacation on. Diana?!
