Wisconsin really has some of the most
beautiful sunsets.
We are lucky enough to see it
disappear into the water.
The little kids think it SINKS
into the water and I make a
sizzling sound with my mouth
as if the water is being touched
by the sun---szzzzzzzzt.
Yep-these kids are gonna grow
up warped.
into the water and I make a

What's hiding behind that tree?
I move to the right a bit for a better view.
GOING
GOING---
GOING (yep-one extra going-couldn't resist)
GONE!!!
Doesn't the sky look like it is on fire?
Sssssssshhhhhhhh-
All is quiet and calm-
Or IS it?
How about a little
TROPICAL TREAT, boys?
It'll help you sleep
Is it safe to give a Mai Tai to a kid in a baby bottle?
Just kidding MOM- I would NEVER do that-
or would I?
LOL Diana,
ReplyDeleteI hear there are a lot of wonderful nutrients in a Mai Tai so how could it hurt?!!!! Ha Ha. Those boys are the cutest.
Kris
What a gorgeous sunset Diana!!!
ReplyDeleteI never thought of a Mai Tai for medicinal purposes - think I could use one of them every night then lol!!!
Have a wonderful long weekend girlfriend!
You must be exhausted - but what a wonderful way to tire yourself out - they're adorable ( the boys - not the Mai Tai's )
XOX
Hahaha, you crack me up, girl.
ReplyDeleteAh - that sunset....the sunset of my youth growing up on an island with beautiful Great Lake Erie as a backyard. Sigh. I am so danged homesick for water - this is the first summer I haven't visited even once. I have a mind to head up today, I swear!
Love this post - and sizzle sounds as it hits? Oh yes, been there, done and heard that lol.
Have a wonderful holiday weekend.
great pictures! I love how you went from the peaceful of the summer setset to the giggly playfulness of the two little ones.. And the mai tai? why waste on the little ones? Drink a couple and it wont matter what the little ones do anymore! LOL!
ReplyDeletehave a great holiday weekend!
xoxo
vivian
Your a nut! Love the sunset. The boys look like their having so much fun.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice holiday weekend!
The colours are gorgeous. I was talking about the sunset, but it could apply to the drink too! I would never tire of that view of the bay. You are very lucky.
ReplyDeleteThe sunset pics are beautiful and so are the boys!
ReplyDeleteDiana, I love sunrises and sunsets and anything to do with the moon. Your photos are great. I bet the giggling of those two boys was like music to a grandmother's ears. Sweet. Enjoy this day.xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteI can almost hear their giggles from here in GA! Lovely photos. Wishing you a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful Diana!!
ReplyDeleteMai Tais for the big kids in the house! We will always be kids, no matter how old our bodies get! The photos are beautiful, the water is so calm... the sun setting looks peaceful! Keep sharing please!
ReplyDeleteLovely sunset...lovely photographs. The boys are the cutest. and doing what little boys do. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scenes. Sounds as if the kids are still ready to keep on going. Blessed me, my grands are so well trained for bedtime that, if I keep them up ten minutes later, they're begging for sleep. Love that!
ReplyDeleteCute boys, Diana! Full of energy, as they should be, especially at bedtime.:-) Love that sunset, too! xo Nellie
ReplyDeleteWhy waste Mai Tai on the kids - save it for the adults! haha. Lovely sunset, what better way to end the day?
ReplyDeleteNow what would your husband say about that??? LOL! Love the sunset pics.
ReplyDeleteI'd just keep the little ones up and watch for shooting stars or something. There is no better way to top a pretty sunset!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunset. Yes it does look like it's sliding into the lake.
ReplyDeleteI can see why the grands love you so much - you have just as much fun as they do.
Happy happy weekend.
Mary
what a beautiful view~!
ReplyDeleteYep, that's our Wisconsin! :-) Born and raised here, have always loved it - sunrise, sunset, and everything in between - until you get to January 7. From January 7 until April 15, I find myself whining and complaining about the neverending winter. lol
ReplyDeleteCute photos of the kids. :-)
One thing I miss about living in Cali is the ocean. Oklahoma has lakes...but we are far from most of them. Nothing like what you've shared. Beautiful my friend.
ReplyDeleteThings are the same here. But trusting God WITHOUT FEAR for better tomorrows!
Love you girl~
Rebecca
Beautiful sunset!! I hope your lake doesn't put out the sun with all that sizzling etc... Well if the sun doesn't come up tomorrow at least I know where to go looking. What a fun moment to share with the Grands!
ReplyDeleteLynn
Diana,
ReplyDeleteToooooo cute! I can just hear the little ones giggling. Wish mine could be that little again.... even if for just one day.
I so enjoy the early morning. Seeing the sun rise is one of my greatest pleasures. I usually take my precious pup for a walk around the gardens. I love the dew and the morning blooms. I work in my gardens early in the morning and late in the evening. LOL! My husband always yells at me that it's getting dark..... as if I didn't know it. Tooooo hot to be out there in the middle of the day.
Wishing you and your family a happy and safe Labor Day!!
Luv, Luv,
Elizabeth
What a gorgeous sunset and beautiful pictures, Diana! Hope you had the mai tai, and not the kiddos!!
ReplyDeleteDiana, What beautiful sunsets-breathtaking! They remind me of the Islands. It is so hot here today that I'm staying inside with Hunter, Lily and the brat--did I just say that???? Something is typing on my keyboard, I meant to say Bentley.
ReplyDeleteThe boys are adorable! Have a wonderful evening, enjoy those MaiTai's for me o.k.
Hugs, Noreen
Any kid should be happy to get one of those and let's face it, Diana, we got to keep those kids happy. Beautiful sunset. You got it going good. They do happen fast..Happy Weekend..Judy
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous photos!!! I love watching the sun rise or set...see God's artwork in both.
ReplyDeleteThese 2 boys are adorable! I'll take a Mai Tai if you have an extra. :)

Enjoy your weekend!
Beautiful pictures, Diana! I'm getting ready to show my husband this.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunset. You are so fortunate to live on the water. It's a gorgeous view in the evening. I would have to sit out there every evening just to take it all in.
ReplyDeleteI know you'd never do that but maybe, just maybe you might imbibe a little yourself. I hear it helps!! Although I wouldn't know, never smoked or drank. Yeah, I was a barrel of fun!
ReplyDeleteThat's some view you have! Of course those boys need some of your special 'tropical fruit juice'.
ReplyDeletePerfect sunset. I'd love to end the day with a view like that.
ReplyDeleteYour too funny Diana!
ReplyDeleteLove the boys pics.

ReplyDeleteHI Diana!!!
ReplyDeleteWe only made it up to the NOrthwoods for a long weekend this summer... too much going on with kids so we missed our almost annual week up north in our usual spot.
GORgeous photos of the sunset.
Which lake do you vacation on. Diana?!
