How can it be?
How can it be that this
LITTLE GIRL
graduated from Kindergarten?
She arrived early.
and she was all smiles.
No uniforms today.
They could wear whatever they wanted.
SweetCheeks wanted
RUFFLES and SPARKLES!
Of course she did!
And cute shoes with
SPARKLES, too.
Sisters graduated from their classes, too.
Onto Sixth grade for Lulu and
Fourth grade for Ria.
She is all smiles here, too,
getting her graduation certificate.
SweetCheeks did not realize until
later that her time with Mr. Schultz
has ended.
She didn't realize that she would be in
a different room next year
with a different teacher.
When she did realize it...
Well, let's just say it broke
MY heart, too.
The smile was gone and replaced by
a silent tear.
Good-bye Mr. Schultz.
Sometimes growing up has pain
mixed in with joy.
We are praying that
SweetCheeks
first grade teacher will love her
as much as Mr. Schultz did.
God bless you, Mr. Schultz,
and thank you
for taking such good care
of our girl!
ps...Just imagine the stories
HE has in his memory bank from
his year with SweetCheeks!

ReplyDeleteJust think of the memories that Mr. Shultz will carry forever of her and her stories.

How sweet...and I'm tickled that she had a MALE kindergarten teacher! Congrats to your wee graduate :)
ReplyDeleteHow sweet, Diana! I remember those days of my kids' graduations. Now I have a college graduation to go to this month.
ReplyDeleteGosh Diana, Now I want to cry too. It is sad for young children. Most do love their teachers. Your life is flying, look at those beauties graduating....it'll be H.S. sooner than we think. Hug those girls for me. Having 4 daughters of my own, I am a girl mommy. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteP.S. yes, my babies are grown with big ol' grown babies.
The years just fly by, don't they? The girls were so pretty. Gotta love a girl who cries leaving a favorite teacher. I hope her next teacher does as well as her last. ;)
ReplyDeleteYou just brought a tear to MY eye!!! What a sweet age. The girls are so darling. Their Daddy is going to have his hands full when they are old enough to date!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever met a man who taught kindergarten. He must love kids! And he probably has a ton of stories. He should write a book!
ReplyDeleteAnd congratulations to Sweet Cheeks. I hope she finds her 1st grade teacher just as wonderful!
Yes so true it is never fun growing up! So glad my daughter never had a graduation ceremony for kindergarten.I would have been the one crying.Ah but next year for her 8th grade she will have one...darn it I was hoping to avoid that until High school!
ReplyDeletePrecious photos of the girls <3

ReplyDeleteSo sweet! Congrats to your girl for her accomplishment. Maybe Mr. Schultz will move to first grade. I always wished our favorite teachers would move with the kids.
ReplyDeleteDid she bring him cookies?
How cute. Congrats to her. My littlest finished preschool yesterday. It was bittersweet.
ReplyDeleteAWL!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet little lady.
I am so glad her first year was so special - starts her out right on the path to learning for the rest of her life!
You know looking at SC and her teacher, they look like they could be related - they both have those beautiful slanted Irish/English looking eyes.
She is such a dear, and the three girls will have long lines of suitors one day, just look at them!
So darling! My own girl graduated from Kindergarten this year and it is definitely bittersweet!
ReplyDeleteVanessa
Congrats to SC and her beautiful sisters! Can't we just stop time for a little while?!
ReplyDeleteOh so sweet! Sounds like she had an amazing teacher. And yes, I am sure he had many hilarious stories to share in the teacher's lounge, lol! :) Jane
ReplyDeleteBeautiful the girls all look.
ReplyDeleteIt sure makes a difference when children get nice teachers.
Congrat's Kids.
Okay summer will be here.
Out there and get some customers this summer.
Whooo Hooo
Ask your teachers to come over and by something. Right.
Awwww. Such sweet girls, all three with those beautiful smiles. You are right about the joys and the sadness of life moving on. But I bet her first grade teacher will be every bit as special.
ReplyDeleteOur boys had to wear little caps and gowns! Hmmmm.
Way to go, SweetCheeks! Oh, how I remember when my kids were in Kindergarten getting ready to go into the next grade. I hope she likes her teacher next year. A good teacher means so much to the happiness of a child. She'll be fine, as she is good natured.
ReplyDeleteLove,
~Sheri
She's way too old for kindergarten..it seems
ReplyDeleteAn out of uniform day is always exciting but combine it with a graduation and it's amazing! I hope these girls have a wonderful summer too...

ReplyDeleteI taught Kindergarten for ten years: this is so touching! I think I cried more than they children at the end of the year! You have three adorable girls! I'm hoping they had a very successful time at the market with cookie sales! I saw the boiler of fudge on Facebook; yummy!
ReplyDeleteAhhh, that is so precious! You can tell by the picture how much they both shared a fondness for each other.
ReplyDeleteI'm just stopping by to say hello to you, Diana.

You know it's funny, I always forget how young she really is! SweetCheeks seems so much older! ... And how cool to see a male teacher in elementary school! I bet he does have a few stories to tell!
