As you know
I like to record things
the kids say so that they
can go back and read it
one day.
Here is our girl
that I call
Literal Little Lulu.
She is the child that takes
things very literally.
For instance.....
She is riding along in the car with Mom.
The radio is on and Mom is flipping
through stations.
Mom pauses for a few moments on
a Christian radio station.
The preacher says.....
Except for God we are but dust.
There is silence in the back seat
for a few moments.
Mama, Lulu offers.
Yes, honey?
Mama, you know what that guy just said?
Yes. What about it?
I was just wondering......
WHAT IS BUTT DUST?
Don't ya love it?
Mornin' Diana,
ReplyDeleteWas drinking my coffee and visiting you...got my morning chuckle! All is good in the world this Monday morning!!!
Blessings,
Cindy
Your family must be so funny to hang out with. Youre are lucky girl!
ReplyDeleteYour family must be so funny to hang out with. Youre are lucky girl!

ReplyDeleteDefinitely precious. We're taking a trip out West this summer. Josie was wondering just how big and noisy those canons were going to be in the Grand Canyons. Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteThat is a good one Diana!
ReplyDeleteI was telling little 2 year old Addison about being in her Mommy's tummy.
She looked at me, big eyed and all and said, "My mommy chewed me"?
Omg, she is only 2!!
Hugs,
Cindy

ReplyDeleteToo funny, Diana! I needed a good laugh to start the day! Sounds like Miss Lulu gets her literalness (is that a word?) from Your Hero:)

Butt dust. LOL!!!
That is too cute Diane !How wonderful it is that you keep a record for the grandchildren to read when they are older.
ReplyDeleteWhat humor surrounds you with your family! It really makes things fun for you! xo Nellie
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Diana, You have to love what comes out of children's mouth. They are so much fun. You can always get a laugh at them. My youngest wanted to wake up his uncle this morning so he could tell him goodbye and that he would see him later. Have a wonderful day. I am off to get my turn signal fixed. The bulb is out. Have a great day. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh that's too funny. I would be very thankful no liquid was in the mouth of the driver! I would have spat surely. She shares her name with my sweet baby boston terrier. Good name! Hugs. Tammy
ReplyDeleteI think her theology is right on. Except for God, we ARE butt dust! :-)
ReplyDeleteHow funny is that. I remember the little kid who heard the hymn 'gladly the cross I'd bear' and heard 'Gladly, the cross-eyed bear' :-)
I bet that preacher lost his job after saying butT dust on public radio station...according to Lulu
