It is going to be a really sweet day.

Now for some
GOOD NEWS!
Laurie from

for her husband, Garry.

ReplyDeleteSo very thankful that Garry came through surgery just fine. Blessings to both Laurie and Garry.
Thanks for the updates.. and by the by.. you're nut sugar!
ReplyDeletewith love,
Cotton Peony
LOL - you're too funny Diana -
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear about Garry!
Hugs,
Suzan
FUNNY! What a CUTE post!! I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week! And also, thank you LORD for seeing Gary through his surgery and he will continue to make a strong, full recovery! From one sweetie to another~~~~Roxie
ReplyDeleteOh Diana, I am so glad you gave us an update on Garry. I know that Laurie is feeling relieve. You get so up tight and stressed when things like this happens. Your Mr. Squirrel is a pest and they do things like your picture. Have a wonderful day. Hugs Your Missouri Friend.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy about Laurie and Garry! The answer to our prayers! Well, I'll say this squirrel better find a new home! I have fed them too, when I lived in a high rise condo. We had a flying squirrel drop down our laundry shoot from the attic once! Now, we have gutter guard and that fixed him. Funny thing, my cats wouldn't chase him. They sat on the steps and watched us chase him at 1:00 am!
ReplyDeletePlease don't send that squirrel here, we have plenty, Thank you. I'll do with just 4 items instead.
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear that Garry sailed through the surgery, and hope all goes well for the rest of his recovery.
Glad he sailed through his surgery! And I'm sorry that pesky squirrel ruined your lovely tablecloth! I had a friend who used to feed the squirrels until one day she couldn't get out of her house without using a broom to keep them at bay...she quit feeding them after that! :)
ReplyDeleteKat
I'm glad the bad news wasn't anything really bad. Squirrels! I feed them, too, and then they dig up my flower pots. And forget about leaving cushions on the porch furniture -- I learned that lesson. Why would a squirrel get on a chair cushion to use the bathroom? I mean really! Thanks for a fun post.
ReplyDeleteYou're such a "nut". LOL! Continued prayers your way! xoxo
ReplyDeleteCompletely ~Tasteless~ Squirrel Joke
ReplyDeleteA father takes his son hunting:
The father said...
"Stay here and be very QUIET. I'll be across the field."
A few minutes later, the father heard a blood curdling scream and ran back to his son.
"What's wrong?" the father asked. "I told you to be quiet."
The son answered...
“Look, I was quiet when the snake slithered across my feet. I was quiet when the bear breathed down my neck.”
“ But when the two squirrels crawled up my pant legs and said, should we eat them here or take them with us?”
"I guess I just panicked...."
~feel free to delete~ LOL
I can't wait to see that table, Diana!
ReplyDeleteDon't you dare talk about that soup!... I will pay that little guys way to come live with me, I LOVE squirrels!!!... can't wait to see your table... xoxo Julie Marie
ReplyDeleteSo happy for Laurie and Gary. I'll see your squirrel and up the bet with the five raccoons on my patio :)
ReplyDeleteNo squirrel for me! LOL But I am very happy to hear Laurie's husband is doing well! I know she is relieved!
ReplyDeleteGreat news about Garry!!! You crack me up. Don't send that over grown rat here. We have one that would prefer dining on our house instead of nuts!!
ReplyDeleteSend me the squirrel. We don't have any here and my dog needs something to chase. The turtle she found last night was a tad too slow, so maybe this little guy will be better.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm glad to hear Garry is feeling better.
And I'm looking forward to seeing what has happened to that table and how you use it.
So glad Laurie's husband is doing so well! Miracles happen every day.
ReplyDeleteYou keep that squirrel there- got enough of my own. Can't believe he chewed up the table cloth! Personally, I think he's a little nuts!
Wonderful news about Garry. I pray that he continues to do well.
ReplyDeleteI have a front yard full of squirrels. I do remember eating squirrel when I was a child. Unpleasant memory now that I think of it. lol
Oh, please no more squirrels. The group here has totally destroyed our outdoor cushions. We replaced them, bought special covers, and ......... they did it again. This time ripping through the covers too! Not a pretty sight.
ReplyDeleteNow that Paris artwork has me eager to see what you are doing..........Sarah
Thanks so much for the update on Laurie's husband. I know they are both relieved and happy!
ReplyDeleteI see just one mistake in your squirrel soup recipe: the squirrel should be skinned. Or maybe some like the skin? = )
Best,
Bonnie
Oh my goodness! I can't help it...I think it's hysterically funny. I have had a running love/hate relationship with squirrels for years! I love your PARIS artwork....What are you up to???
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Mary
Well, Diana. I think I'll just pass on the squirrel! Someone needs to give it a lesson in manners!
ReplyDeleteI hope today's events are top-notch!:)
Great news to hear about Laurie's husband! Thanks for passing on the news.
Have a great day!
xo Nellie
Good Morning! your post is so funny . . . but please no squirrel soup.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the up date on Laurie and Garry, that is wonderful news and has turned this ordinary day to perfect.
I can not wait to see your finished table. Connie :)
Blessings to Laurie and her hubs. So glad to hear the good news. Thank you for letting us know.
ReplyDeleteI wanna see that table..I have one I might want to do whatever you are doing to yours. I also have a mantel I am staring at right now, thinking, what the heck am I going to do with it. It is behind the Franklin fireplace with the big black chimney going right up the middle. Mantel too hard to decorate. Well, not too sure how I got off on THAT...
I don;t want to win the squirrel....I have PLENTY around.
Sorry for all the bad news and Happy for all the very good news! Have a perfectly wonderful blessed day!!
ReplyDeleteHoly cow you are funny! No thanks to the squirrel. But I'm waiting anxiously to see the table. Especially since you said you hand lettered it! I need to figure something out because I'm dying to put a rather elaborate french graphic on a dresser - but I don't think I could do it by hand. Maybe.... Hurry and post it, will ya!?
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to hear the good news about Laurie's husband. Thanks for sharing it with us!
ReplyDeleteSquirrel Soup?
I was gonna make a big souppot full but then I couldn't find the point value on my WW Tracker, so guess I'll have to pass. (Whew!)
I am thinking that my husbands grandparents might have made something with squirrels since they lived in the outback of the Tennessee hills. I'll have to ask him. It would be prairie dogs here - and they are cute just like those squirrels!!
ReplyDeletexo
Holly
I'm sure I have tasted squirrel before and I am sure I didn't like it!
ReplyDeleteHi, So very thankful for the news on Garry-yippee! Our God still is in the mountain moving business.
ReplyDeleteI'll pass on the soup, thank you very much and please keep your buddy there. I can't wait to see what you do with the sofa table-I know it will look incredible.
Hugs today.
Noreen
I'm so relieved to hear about Laurie's husband. So glad that things are going better for them!
ReplyDeleteAnd you are more than welcome to have my share of that squirrel soup, yuck! Those critters may be cute, but they can be so destructive! They've chewed thru everything from our grill cover to outdoor chair covers, to our motor home cover! That's when we declared war and put up an rv garage!! Hope your party goes well today, sounds like you have lots of fun activities planned!!
I think I'll have to pass on the squirrel. But thanks for offering!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the table!
I can't wait to see what you are up to! Maybe something for a special little girl's birthday????
ReplyDeleteAs for that squirrel, he's a punk. I don't like squirrels. Down with squirrels!!!
Squirrels are cute but destructive, huh?!
ReplyDeleteI stopped by to see if you had heard from Laurie, in my dreams I see.....Yea! Thank you so much for the update, oh what a relief!!! Thank you for keeping us posted....And as far as the squirrel, I'm grabbing my fold I will be right over!
ReplyDeleteCarol
You made me laugh!!! No little furry friend for me!!!Can't wait to see the table after!
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome news!!!God is Great!
Warmly,
deb
This is where I confess I've had squirrel before...it's not bad. I don't think I'd like it roasted on a stick like in "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?" but in pot pie it was fine.
ReplyDeleteGreat news about Garry. Thanks for sharing it!
**I like squirrels (live) really I do.**
No squirrel soup for me ..Glad Gary is doing well..Can't wait to see your latest "project".
ReplyDeleteStop you are cracking me up. The only good thing I can say is you have one.....I have many of the cutie pies. My favorite is when they eat bird houses.
ReplyDeleteOh well, thanks for the update. Can't wait to see how it turns out.
Kathy
Great news about Laurie's husband.
ReplyDeleteWe have them too! Everytime I would put birdseed out he would get into it, he finally broke a birdhouse that my daughter gave me for Christmas one year so now the squirrel and birds don't eat!
ReplyDeleteBad bad squirrel! I can't wait to see your Paris makeover. I bet it's wonderful.
ReplyDeletexo,
Danielle
Glad your friends hubby is on the mend, prayers answered! You can keep that silly tree rat, I have way to many around my place already
ReplyDeleteSquirrel soup doesn't sound too appealing to me, but my mom told me they had to eat squirrel sometimes when she was growing up. I guess that's better than eating crow, lol :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Marcia
You are so funny Diana! I really don't think squirrel soup would go over here too well. They're cute but sure can be destructive little brats.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you are up to my friend.
sending hugs from me...
thanks for the update on Lauries hubby ! Ive been worried for them and praying.
ReplyDeleteThe critter is super cute but a bad bad boy/ girl !
-KAT
Praise our sweet Lord for Garry's successful surgery and recovery.
ReplyDeleteHow is our sweet Lulu? Hope she was feeling good for the festivities. I KNOW HER BIRTHDAY WILL LAST ALL WEEKEND. If not it should. LULU, are you listening? Big time tip here!
Someday I will have to tell you about the squirrel who came in by the chimney while we were out of town. He tried to get out. Tried everywhere and I mean everywhere!
I have a recipe book with a recipe for squirrel stew as well.
have a great weekend. Hugs,
I was so looking forward to that soup. Hoping to follow it with some possum pie. What's up girl, givin up on cookin? Really, those critters do drive us nuts sometimes. I had a bunch of sweet quail roaming in my yard today. No damage done. I do not know your friend, but happy that her husbands surgery went well. Can't wait to see the table.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jann
And to think I panicked this morning as I woke because I remembered I hadn't commented yesterday!! I jumped out of bed...well stumbled..and raced to my computer....well hopped on my crutches...and I am sitting with my stomach grumbling and my hair in my eyes!! What can I say?!
ReplyDeleteSeriously though, what an upset to find that...squirrels are like that...ungrateful beasts...and ...no I don't want one We have plenty of our own causing chaos here!! Hope you are feeling better now. Joan
Thanks for the up date on Garry. I've been praying and wondering.
ReplyDeleteSuch good news about Gary!
ReplyDeletexo
Claudia

ReplyDeleteHaHa! You and that squirrel are funny lady! LOL! Did you ever see the movie Rat Race where Kathy Lee Bates is the crazy lady with the squirrels? It is one of my favorite parts of the movie! You have to see it if you have not! Then you will understand my laughter!
