Well, you know me-
I like a little play on words.
Yes-I am up...as awake-
and arisen...
but the UP in my title
stands for the
Upper Peninsula
of Michigan.
You already know,
if you read yesterday's post,
that we were in Northport, MI.
That is the lower section
of Michigan.
While it IS pretty there,
we really love the UP.
We love the Pictured Rocks area.
We always stay in Munising, MI
and take day trips from there.
We love to go East to
While we were there this time
there was a fishing tournament
happening.
While looking at dead fish in a cooler
might be fun for
SOME OF YOU,
I would much rather watch the
sailboats in the harbor.
Quite beautiful, huh?
There were even more wonderful
things to look at from our
hotel balcony.
A few wild flowers provided
some pleasure for the eyes.
And the other
EYE CANDY?
Yep- It is
MyHero sunning himself.
WHAT is he looking at?
He is looking down at his feet.
uh-huh
And I thought he said he
QUIT SMOKING.
I think that was
NOTHING BUTT
a lie.
Hope you have a great day!
Are you trying to spice up your blog and attract new viewers by adding some "eye-candy"?
ReplyDeletem.
beautiful photos, well except the ciggy butt, poor hubby, its a pretty place for sure,
ReplyDeleteDiana, Do you ever show those pictures to your hero ?? You are onery. LOL. The photos of the rocks is beautiful. There are so many pretty places to see right here in our good old U.S.A. Our local news shows what they call "one tank trips", even Indiana has it's great places to go or see. Traveling is so much fun, or should be, but there's nothing like your own home. Smiles, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteAre you sure you never did stand up comedy. You are just so funny. Look's like you guys are having a great time.
ReplyDeleteWhy, yes, I have noticed that you like word plays. I've never been to the UP, but I know someone who lived there. Does that give me any points? hehehe I bet it is cooler there than we are here.
ReplyDeleteThe UP is one of my favourite places. We love Paradise but really we love it all. Especially enjoy the Copper Harbor area and the Porkies
ReplyDeleteJanice
Looks like such a beautiful place Diana!... LOVE sailing!... we sold our sailboat (but are thinking about getting another one) when we built our little farmhouse... Jack named it "The Julie Marie"... catchy, huh?... wishing you a gorgeous Summers day, xoxo Julie Marie
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photos, I love to see sale boats, maybe that is boats for sail. Does that count as a play on words? Did you call My Hero a butt foot?
ReplyDeleteLucky you, Diana. Sure hope it's cooler up there. Do you like smoked fish? We've gotten some there before, I mix it with some cream cheese, and put it on crackers, yum.
ReplyDeleteI love the UP Diana, one of my all time favorite spots. Pictured Rock National Lake Shore is truly spectacular! Hubby is a good sport too!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Cindy
It looks so beautiful there, well apart from the dead fish and the cigarette butt! The view from the balcony is stunning, so calm and peaceful.

Hi Diana! Love the photo of those rocks! How beautiful! All the photos were, but the butt! Hope you had a relaxing visit away!
ReplyDeleteTalk soon?
Hugs,
Donna
Yep, like the boats better than the dead fish in a bucket!
I would prefer looking at the sailboats on the water, but my husband would be excited about having caught that many fish!:) xo Nellie
ReplyDeleteI don't care much for looking at fish but I love to eat them. Although I was amazed while I was in Riggins to see a Salmon which was caught by my friend's younger son (40ish) the full size of the largest cooler that you can buy. Gigantic is the word.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photos! Looks like you're having a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteDiana,
ReplyDeleteYou and Jess have both enjoyed beautiful trips lately. This area you visited looks so pretty and peaceful. Your husband seems to be having a good time just relaxing. I think I need a trip like this right now. The picture of the rocks is amazing.

The U P is a favorite place of ours too ! My cousins and aunt and uncle live up there and have for many years. They are in Laurium. We always enjoyed a vacation at their cabin (my cousin owns a log cabin business up there) If you want to have a cabin built look up Rick Baron. tell him Kathy Shaughnessy (my Maiden name) Sent you maybe he will give you a free log. LOL
ReplyDeleteLove your sense of humor

Hugs from Michigan. Picture Rocks is one of our favorite places to visit. I'm still catching up after being away for a week. I've missed your blog and your sense of humor.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a gorgeous place! My friend has a summer home in Michigan and loves it. She spends, May, June, July and some of August there. The water is so blue, beautiful! I don't think that's your hero's butt! No way!
ReplyDeleteDoes YourHero know that you're posting nudie pics of him on your blog, Diana....? hehehe!
ReplyDeleteWe LOVE Pictured Rocks, too. What beautiful country up there. Did you know we got married on the beach in front of Point Iroquois Lighthouse on Lake Superior? Soon to be 28 years! :)
xoxo laurie

ReplyDeleteSounds and looks like a fun plae to visit you silly girl. Have a great time and avoid this heat.
