Prayer Updates- Smiles And Sadness-Please Keep Praying

A few weeks ago
I asked for prayers
for this sweet, young woman.
Her name is Jessica.
You can read her whole
story here.
She is the daughter-in-law
of friends of ours.
She has been undergoing
a grueling round of chemo
and has had a lot of ups and downs.
However, her
BAD NUMBERS
 are dropping!
Drastically!
BUT-they need to drop more
before she is considered cured.
I am going to see her
tomorrow at a big family affair.
Please remember her
in your prayers.
She desperately needs them.
Her good news is worth a smile.

Now, the not-so-happy news.
let me know
that her little grandson
did not make it.
Doesn't that picture just
break your heart?
You can read about it here.
God called this sweet little
child home.
And, although we know he is
in a better place,
his Mom & Dad
and all his extended family
are hurting.

Thank you so much-
I am overjoyed to know
that so many of you pray
when others need it.
Blessings and a Peaceful Saturday
to you.

  3. A double-edged sword for us this morning, Diana. Excellent news about Jessica, and I will continue to pray for her complete recovery. I was very saddened to hear that Jacob didn't make it. I will keep his family in my prayers too. It is so difficult for those left behind.

So sorry about the baby...rejoicing going on in Heaven, yet sorrow in the hearts of the family here.

  10. My heart is heavy for your friends. I will pray for Jessica's full recovery and for Viv's little grandson.

It's been a rough week, a good friend of mine lost her cousin's 16 year old son, he died after being struck by lightening last week in VT.

  15. So many heartbreaking moments in life. Every time I see Jessica's photo, my heart breaks. The photo of Baby Jacobs is so painful! My only consolation is that I can see the Finger of the Lord in his little hand. It's written that God does not think as we do. And sometimes that's the only answer we can hang on to.

  16. This is such a reminder that it is a very slender thread that ties us to this world and every moment, child and lovely young woman should be celebrated for the gift it is. ~ Maureen

Thanks for reading my Jamaica post! We really did have a great time. I could have stayed another week! My favorite part was definitely the snorkeling...there is just so much to see! God sure did create some interesting creatures. Have a great Sunday and stay cool! Kristen

  29. I will say prayers for these families. Oh the hurt of losing a child - and of a young woman fighting for her life.
I have seen your pic in the comments list of several blogs I comment on and tonight I clicked on your name for the first time. Decided I might as well find out who was behind the sweet face I see so regularly!

  34. I will be praying for both of these families.

I believe that one of the reasons we are sent here from God is to get a body so that we can have experiences that help us to learn and grow by faith to believe in God.

I also believe that those little ones who pass away are saved and have no need of the ordinance of baptism. God loves them. They are not lost. As some churches leaders say. They will see their little one again. :)

    Hugs and prayers

    Take care, Janet W
