I had an errand that
took me away from home
most of the day.
BUT
When I got home I wanted
to play with some
fabric for fun.
I decided before I
went out and bought
any more material
I would make a
PROTOTYPE.
A couple of hours later,
I had a
semi-willing
model.
SweetCheeks
gave it her
stamp of approval.
(Or was that a stomp
because she had to stop what
because she had to stop what
she was doing to try on the dress)....
hmmmm..
Anyway,
by the time I got the camera
pointed her way..
she gave me a real smile.
And...although her hair was
in piggies I stuck a
matching bow in for a quick shot.
THEN,
I went to the fabric store
for this!
Now, Lord willing
and the creek don't rise
TOMORROW
I will have whipped up
something
SUPER CUTE
for the kiddos
to wear when we go to
You know sometimes they
LOSE ME
...just so they don't
LOSE ME
I am thinking of wearing
THIS~
I can rent it and the best part
is I won't even have to
dye my hair.
Whaddayathink?
Oh yes! That is definitely the outfit to go with ;)
ReplyDeleteI think you should wear it but the scary thing is that Disney World is a people watching Mecca and you may not stand out !
ReplyDeleteYou can pull that outfit off, not problem. You'll never be lost again.
ReplyDeleteYOU might become the PROTOTYPE for a new Disney character :)
ReplyDeleteCute fabric choices...
ReplyDeleteVery cute model...
& the outfit for you???
Not so much... : )
(we were there last week... great time ++ it was nice & warm there :)
Great fabric.... Now about the "get-up". No.... they won't loose you 'cause you will be on CNN!! Gad=Zooks..... What a Dame!! LOL!!LOL!!
ReplyDeleteHave A Great Day!!
Marilyn
Yes, do it! That outfit is unforgettable! I want to see a photograph with you and Minnie!!Okay, what an adorable and sweet dress on Sweetcheeks, great fabric too!
ReplyDeleteI say go for the boa!!!
ReplyDeleteThats such a clever idea to dress the girls alike, easier to keep track of them! Wonderful, you are very talented you are,
Hi Di,
ReplyDeleteThat is one cute pillowcase dress and model! Love her tights! I don't know when you find the time with all the time you spend at Starbucks! lol.
xoxo
Love the pillow case dresses.
ReplyDeleteIf the kids get lost they can look for a crwod and they will find you. You should attract alot of people with your new look.
What a cute dress for the sweetcheeks. I absolutely love how your g.daughters wear bows in their hair.Smiles, Susie
ReplyDeleteOh, absoultey, Diana ~ you could pull that off. Feather boa and all! You may have people coming up to you to get their picture taken with you or asking which character you are, but I think you'd look smashing! : )
ReplyDeleteThat outfit is you! Pure Nana Disney!
ReplyDeleteWithout a "Doubtfire", you must don the feather boa! A trip to Disney World is always bigger than life!
SC's sundresses are adorable! Nice work, Nana D!

LOL! You'll look divine! Such a cute dress, Sweet Cheeks is adorable in it!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning! No way will they lose you!:-)
ReplyDeleteOh wow, I love the dress you made and your precious model too!!! How adorable!!!
ReplyDeleteXO
Cindy
Ummmm, I don't think the boys will look very good in the pink, and I just KNOW you are planning on making matching outfits for them too, right? :) Just kiddin'. Sort of. E is a size 2T and Charles is in 3 months. FYI
ReplyDeleteI think you are having fun, and I think you are a good sewer and I think you might want to leave the bright blond wig...at home! LOL ;D
ReplyDeleteI love pillowcase dresses...all my nieces are too big to wear them anymore. Can we see a Sweet Cheeks video tutorial when SHE gets to dress YOU? That would be hilarious.
ReplyDeletexoxo, T.
That look is totally you, Diana! But, I think you need bigger hair than that, it looks kinda flat. the dress you made is so cute, looks like SC approves!
ReplyDeleteLOL!! Definitely wear that!! Although, they will probably lose you faster.
ReplyDeletexxDaniella
ADORABLE dress! As for you, I'd say a Nana-sized matching dress is in order. They can't lose you if you ALL look alike!
ReplyDeleteoh yes! what fun! You will be styling high!
ReplyDeleteSweet Checks is sooo- cute!Adorable dress and bow! I say go for it on what you want to wear! It's perfect! The boa might be a little hot though!
ReplyDeleteGo for it! Those people there don't know you and you will never have to see them again- only your family will feel the shame, and it serves them right for ditching you.
ReplyDeleteLove the little dress and can't wait to see the ones in that fabric- is that loud or what?
SO, you're taking me, too- right? You see, with the wheel chair- you don't have to wait in line. You go straight to the front of the line and ride right away- no waiting. I am valuable sometimes...
Are you sure that one is enough to keep them from hiding from you? I think a Dolly Parton Wig would look better, that one isn't striking enough for you.
ReplyDeleteYou made that dress, a hair bow AND ran a errand that took all day??? Then came up with a DARLING (????) outfit for yourself too?? And I thought we were new friends..........
ReplyDeleteYou dun good girl!
LOVE the little dresses for the girls!
ReplyDeleteDid Sweet Cheeks take that picture of you in your vacation dress?
xxoo
ps if Tete's going, so am I! You'll need someone to push her around.
Ummmmm....they're certainly NOT going to lose you in THAT getup, my dear!!! lololol!
ReplyDeletexoxo laurie
Yep, that will definitely have you standing out in a crowd. Cute dress on Sweetcheeks too!
ReplyDeletex
Well, the boa may be a little warm depending on the temps when you are there. My daughter works for Disney...honestly, I've seen things much more "out there" in the parks!
ReplyDeleteYou're hilarious! That feather boa is perfect. SweetCheeks' dress is adorable! What a great Nana you are!
ReplyDeleteha ha..that would be a pretty hysterical look for sure. GO FOR IT, make a scene, live life Large, unexpected.
ReplyDeletewhat a fun trip that will be to go on.
how fun to sew things up for your grands.
I USED to sew....a long time ago. My kids all grew up in mamma's homemade creations.
Oh, they'll most
ReplyDeletedefinitely be able
to pick you out in
a crowd in THAT!
Sweet dress for
little Miss!
xx Suzanne
If you wear that ensemble, people are gonna think you are part of the parade (and that could be fun). Whether or not you wear that outfit, I'm sue you will be looking faaaaabulous dahling! Cute little dress for SC.
ReplyDeletexo,
Danielle
I'm thinking Mickey is gonna LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog today and for your comments on my Clark Gable birthday post. I DO love those beautiful old movies. I discovered them in 2003 and have been hopelessly addicted to them since 2007.
ReplyDeleteSo a trip to Disney World is in your future, huh? I love that place! We used to live in the Orlando area, so we went there often. Sadly, we left Florida a few years ago and are now living in the Northwest...hoping to move back, as we don't like winter...or living so far from family. I hope you have a wonderful time. Your family will be sure to keep track of you in your bright outfit.
Blessings,
Patti
Seriously? It's PURRFECT! Can't wait to see the pictures!!!!
ReplyDeletePurrs for a grand time!
Romeo
Do I see an Etsy shop in your future selling those sweet dresses?!!
