Well, can you stand one
more
SweetCheeks Session?
The night of her birthday we
went to a little local place
called
Happy Joes.
We have been going there since our
kids were little and celebrated
their birthdays there.
It is a
VERY MINIATURE VERSION
of
Chuckie Cheese...
without the rat~
There are a few games up front.
SweetCheeks was SURE
she had won 1000 tickets
But the management said
NO-
Look at that face!
Poor SweetCheeks can only buy
200 tickets worth of junk instead!
There is a little carousel there
that our own kids rode on
when they were little.
SweetCheeks loves it like
her Mom did.
You will notice that she purchased
a CROWN with her tickets,
won't you?
BigBoyE loves the ride and
would stay on all night if we let him.
SweetCheeks was having so much fun.
You just never knew where she might
pop up.
Then it was time to eat and open presents.
Her babysitter, Naomi, got her a skirt and a top.
And there was a box of
Mike & Ikes in there.
SweetCheeks pulled everything out of the
gift bag and looked at Naomi and said..
Isss that ITT? COM'ON!
Everyone cracked up-it was just
SUCH a SweetCheeks thing to say.
But then she giggled and said..
Thank you, Naomi
and gave her a hug.
Her gramma on her Daddy's side,
Mrs. M, got up to help
SweetCheeks figure out
her Crayola present .
I think Gramma wanted it herself
because she is an artist.
Now I have to tell you~
In ALL the years we have been
going to Happy Joe's pizza place
we have NEVER EVER seen
their mascot!
I mean we have celebrated countless
birthdays there and
NEVER ONCE
seen this
Spotted Boy.
Would we expect any less than to
see him for the
FIRST TIME
on SweetCheeks fifth birthday?
He was Happy
(get it- Happy? Happy Joes~never mind)
Anyway, he was happy to have his picture
taken with the kids.
BigBoyE is not quite sure what to make of him.
And then...
What better way to end the
day than with
Birthday Cake?
Happy, Happy Birthday
Our Precious SweetCheeks.
We love you!
It looks like you all had a fun time. I am loving her crown!
ReplyDeletebeautiful celebrations, your girls always have the best dresses,
ReplyDeleteLooks like everyone had fun. If I was Sweet Cheeks I would have bought the crown too.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful place to celebrate.
ReplyDeleteIs this where you will be celebrating in a few days?
Happy Birthday SweetCheeks!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday SweetCheeks!!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful birthday! And Happy Joes sounds like a good place to celebrate. We don't have a ChuckECheese's here, either, so we go to Nations of Fun or Jumping Jax.
ReplyDeleteNothing sweeter than a childhood birthday party. Sounds like you all had such a wonderful time celebrating Sweet Cheeks' life.
ReplyDeleteI remember the ChuckECheese's days! MEMORIES!

We did Chuck E Cheese a long time ago...yeah, this looks like fun, but the concept of eating and playing don't go together for my kids. They played and we boxed the pizza and brought it home!
ReplyDeleteI like this smaller version, but where are all the other customers? Did you scare them off? LOL-
I love family nights out like this. There just isn't anything better than that.
They should have given her the tickets since it was her birthday.
ReplyDeleteHappy B. Day Sweet Cheeks. (((((HUGS))))
Looks like a fun birthday party for everyone! especially Sweet Cheeks!!!
ReplyDeletexxxooo
Adorable. Love her pink on pink outfit. So cute. And I can always take another photo of Sweet Cheeks.
ReplyDeleteThe photos are all so precious, but this last one where you all are obviously singing "Happy Birthday" ~ Sweet Cheeks looking at the candles and that lovely smile on her face says it all ~ she looks so happy, and isn't that the best part of their Happy Birth Day!?
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing her birthday with us!
Many blessings, Sweet Cheeks, and Nana!
Donna
Aww how sweet! HAppy Birthday Sweet Cheeks! xo
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a fun place. And you have to go with the tradition of it. It always kills me at Chuckie's place that you can win 10 bazillion tickets and you can only buy a pencil or something equally as cheap with it. at least she got a crown with real jewels.
ReplyDeleteSo very precious!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Mary
Poor Sweet Cheeks!! Only 200 tickets. How could they deny her? It WAS her birthday after all!!
ReplyDeleteAnd as for me, I'm with Big E. I don't know what to make of that dog!!!
xxDaniella
Aw...so sweet ;) Happy Birthday to Sweet Cheeks. It looks like a wonderful day. We have video of one of my older sons opening gifts on his 4th birthday. He got a shirt in one package, and threw it out of his hand so quickly that I was a bit embarrassed. I handed it back to him to look at (big mistake), and he threw it higher and farther away the next time. He wanted toys!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend. Your posts always make me smile :)
Blessings,
Marcia
Oh my, what a good time it looks like you guys had. Happy Birthday to Sweet Cheeks maybe next year she will win a 1000 tickets.
ReplyDeleteLisa
Happy Birthday SweetCheeks! A precious little girl like SweetCheeks deserves to wear a crown.
ReplyDeleteI love the picture with the mascot. All of your grandchildren are absolutely adorable. It looks like you all had a wonderful time.
Oh I remember the ChuckieECheese days Diana!
ReplyDeleteI loved watching my Dad playing the games with my kids and splitting his tickets between them! I am so very thankful for you and your blog. When you share your stories with us of these little ones, it always brings around a great memory for me! Thank you!
And of course she got a crown!!
