Okay - After this post
I promise that I am laying
Halloween to rest.
Burying it
(don't you love
that reference?:>)
for another year.
Sunday afternoon
found Papa and all the
kids at the roller rink
where he skated as a kid.
They still open it on Sunday
afternoons.
The kids wore their dance costumes
from last year.
Guess WHO won the
Grand Prize?
Our little SweetCheeks
smoozhed the judges
and took the
grand prize.
A bag full of goodies.
Here she is skating
in her costume.
I take NO responsibility for
the quality of this video
but (Thank You Lord)
it is only about 15 seconds long.
MyHero took it with his
Blackberry..
Today you can
watch
SWEETCHEEKS skate!
I will send you cash to watch it.
Okay...now that you have watched it?
Yeah...I lied about the cash part.
I have just a few more pictures
of the cousins
(and one grim reaper friend)
going trick or treating
on the street
where my son-in-law
grew up and his parents
still live.
Their other gramma is
in at the door
behind the light post.
Hi Marilyn!
The people are so
happy to see the kids
gather in front of their neighborhood.
Our little Stinker kept walking past
Our little Stinker kept walking past
the people and into their houses.
And look at the red eyes
on these little devils..
I wouldn't be messing with
THOSE scary kids!
One of the houses just down
the street was like a magnet
to the kids with all of
its brightly lit decorations.
Ghosts in the yard and all.
Look at all that orange.
So that's it folks..
That's all she wrote.
Except....EVERYONE
asked me what I wore for
Halloween!
I wear the same thing every year....
.this is IT..
asked me what I wore for
Halloween!
I wear the same thing every year....
.this is IT..
The button I wore all day.
What's the old saying?
If the shoe fits wear it.
Now I think I know what
that means!
SweetCheeks wonders
WHY
I ONLY wear the
pin on Halloween....
yeah...
that's my girl!
What fun Diana! She is a good little skater. I loved loved roller skating when I was a kid. Our Halloween was so quite this year, kinda sad. We had two kids come to the door and our kids were scattered about in different neighborhoods.
ReplyDeleteNow thats what Halloween is all about!! You captured the essence beauitfully, shes a great little skater!
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing them all decked out in their costumes..too cute!!
Well done to your granddaughter, and what excellent skating! The children all look fantastic in their costumes. It certainly looks like a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that one of your grandchildren won! After what I'm sure was alot of work on those beautiful costumes, it was deserved. Now the fact that it was Sweet Cheeks, doesn't surprise me at all because like you said, I bet she shmoozed the judges! LOL
ReplyDeleteCongrats to SC taking the grand prize! What a fun night! Looks like all the ghouls and guy had a great time t&ting. I think you should wear that button more, too...

Diana, I like the skating:):) that girl's too cute. I can see why they loved the decorated house. I just can not get into decorating like that....but it was nice. There's family in the little town north of here...they go totally creepy, full-blown halloween..my beef, they leave it out till almost Christmas. yikes, now that's scary. Smiles, Susie
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures, you dn't have to stop, hah. I went with Doddle and her family last night. I took
ReplyDeleteBaby B. up to the doors and he wanted to go inside too. He's 18 months and loved it but totally confused about the door thing, hah.
(((((HUGS))))
She is so adorable skating and they are look so great, love the little stinker! :) I just love watching their faces light up and the laughter all night long.
ReplyDeleteHappy November to you!!!

I love your costume! That's about as much dressing up I would do too.
ReplyDeleteLove Sweetcheeks too. It's like watching Olivia Newton John in Xanadu. What a Pro!
Your Friend, m.
OK, I had seen those ghosts in someone's yard last year holding hands and thought it was cute. But totally forgot about the whole thing until now. So now, I'll have to write myself a note to remember it for NEXT year!
ReplyDeleteAdorable, Diana! And hey...I'll get on that pin trend right away! You're a smart lady. ; )
ReplyDeleteOh Diana, how adorable!!! It looks like the best Halloween!! And oh my gosh, that button--it is so hilarious!!!

I would paid you to watch Sweet Cheeks. Don't tell her that. They are all so adorable. I am so sad that we don't get trick or treaters anymore. They all grew up and left. Maybe they will be bringing their little ones back soon. Hugs, Ginger
ReplyDeleteThat didn't come out quite right. I meant I would have paid you for the privilege to watch Sweet Cheeks' video. There, I think that's right. BTW, I have seen your pic, you wouldn't scare anyone. I think you are beautiful. Hugs, Ginger
ReplyDeleteHi Diana,

OK, I knew it was worth a trip over here to see what you and the youngins were up to on Halloween. What a lot of festivities and super cute costumes! I'm glad little Miss Sweetcheeks got to win the grand prize, but then again, I already knew she was a winner. :) Wish I had one of those badges! And....that's all I've got to say about that! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Diana! I am cracking up at your button! My daughter would have reacted the same way Miss Sweetcheeks did!! LOL!! She looks adorable skating in her costume! So glad you enjoyed the day with your granddaughter!
ReplyDeleteLooks like so much fun! I used to love going to skating rinks. I've been trying to talk my son into going but he doesn't want to. He doesn't want to learn how to skate. (he is 11) oh boy! Guess I will teach my baby girl!
ReplyDeleteYour button is too cute! I dressed up like a cat!
