I See The Light! I See The Light!

No- I am NOT having a
religious experience..
right now....
although that may have happened
to me a time or two in my life~
and I tell my little girls all the
time that the light of God
shines through them.

But this is a different type of
LIGHT
shining through things!

You DO remember my
orange 3 ring binder, right?
Well, here's some more
projects and pictures from there.

I know you have all see the
images of the houses with
all the witches, etc.
silhouetted in the windows.
internet image

This is something
MUCH simpler.
These are made with
plain old tissue paper
that you use to
fluff up your gift packages.

How simple and cute, huh?

And..then there is
THIS PROJECT
which I hope to do with
my grandkids this weekend.

Copy this image
and either enlarge it and print
it out on your computer
OR
take it to a copy center and
have some larger copies made.

DO NOT CUT THE PUMPKIN!
You cut the image out of black
construction/poster board.
Then you hold it up to the light
until the placement is right
for the "face".
Then you cut out
the black backing so it is the
same size as the pumpkins
and glue the edges together.
When you tape these to
your window
it will look like a regular old
pumpkin
UNTIL NIGHTTIME.
When the lights come
on in the house
(lamp or light fixture)
the light will shine through
the cut outs and the
"face" will show.

Cool, huh?

And what else can we make
out of paper cutouts?
Why!
MORE RATS,
of course.
See ya at the top of the stairs...
if ya dare!

  23. P.S. true story....when I was a young thing...just out of college and just married, I worked for the country administrator and the office was in an old old building. The county jail was on the backside. (funny...back then I never worried about that...lol). The old building was on the river. Many mornings when I came in to work, rats would be in our office under the shelving that served as a counter. I would take a broom and shoo them away to wherever their hidey hold was. Never bothered me a bit. Now....ha! it would be a different story. ~ Lynn

I meant to tell you Richie loved your story about the Green Bay Packers....he knew the story about acne packers and loved you got tickets every year as he knew there was at least a 28 year waiting list and wasn't surprised it was longer.
