Celebrating a HALF birthday

Somehow,
SweetCheeks has found out
that some kids celebrate
a Half-Birthday.

Did you ever do that when
you were a kid?
We never did.
My parents worked so hard
that it is lucky they remembered
to celebrate our birthdays at all.

But..
Here is SweetCheeks
talking about being
MBarussud
about celebrating her
"burthday" in Milwaukee
(and where she
 GOT THAT IDEA
is anybody's guess)

At the end she will give
you a lesson in the new
art form she has learned.
Laughing without showing your teeth...

  2. Love the laugh and half birthdays? Geez, in SC years, I'd be 98! Tell her I said to knock that stuff off!
    Love her dimples, though.

  7. We sort of did Half Birthdays when our girls were little. Our middle daughter was born on New Year's Day, so all of her annual presents would have fallen within one very overwhelming week. Her older sister was born in late June ... so we hit upon an idea. On one daughter's birthday, the other two daughters would get one small present each. It helped the non-birthday girls celebrate and anticipate their sister's birthday right along with her ... and it gave each girl something new to play with.

  8. So cute! And I've never celebrated half birthdays either. It would be fun, but then, we have a birthday almost every month so we're always getting to celebrate something! If not, there are always tea parties. Gracie and I have lots of tea parties! :-)

  11. Are you serious about the half-birthday thing? *sigh* I think even BIRTHDAYS have been taken to a ridiculous level by some. I love the old fashioned home-spun birthday party, or pizza parlor and bowling party type thing.

I saw a party being held on Marthas Vineyard for a child that had a full circus. There was actually a valet for parking.

  12. And I didn't mean to make that a negative comment and it sure sounds like one. Take the snarl out of it :-)

  17. The do half birthdays here at the schools if your birthday falls during summer vacation, so my oldest daughter always got to celebrate a half birthday but only for school. I love that little laugh! That is just the cutest!
