Somehow,
SweetCheeks has found out
that some kids celebrate
a Half-Birthday.
Did you ever do that when
you were a kid?
We never did.
My parents worked so hard
that it is lucky they remembered
to celebrate our birthdays at all.
But..
Here is SweetCheeks
talking about being
MBarussud
about celebrating her
"burthday" in Milwaukee
(and where she
GOT THAT IDEA
is anybody's guess)
At the end she will give
you a lesson in the new
art form she has learned.
Laughing without showing your teeth...
I can barely stand my real birthday...LOL!! Leave it to a kid!! Someday she will be in the same boat as the rest of us...dreading birthdays!! Enjoy!!

Love the laugh and half birthdays? Geez, in SC years, I'd be 98! Tell her I said to knock that stuff off!
ReplyDeleteLove her dimples, though.

That is so cute, wish I had thought of that as a child but not now. Have a great week! Shannon
ReplyDeleteUgh yes I did TRY that, but my mom didn't bite! Clever though and I give her credit for trying..shes a character alright!
ReplyDeleteDiana, She is precious !!! So cute how she went from pouting to laughing. They try to work us don't they? Love your video. Smiles,Susie
ReplyDeleteThat is too cute!! Her dimples are adorable when she is laughing. I hope she doesn't get Mbarussed when she goes to Milwaukee!! :)
ReplyDeleteWe sort of did Half Birthdays when our girls were little. Our middle daughter was born on New Year's Day, so all of her annual presents would have fallen within one very overwhelming week. Her older sister was born in late June ... so we hit upon an idea. On one daughter's birthday, the other two daughters would get one small present each. It helped the non-birthday girls celebrate and anticipate their sister's birthday right along with her ... and it gave each girl something new to play with.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! And I've never celebrated half birthdays either. It would be fun, but then, we have a birthday almost every month so we're always getting to celebrate something! If not, there are always tea parties. Gracie and I have lots of tea parties! :-)
ReplyDeletewhat a sweet heart,, oh I love dimples!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Such fun - so sweet to watch your darling grandchildren! Makes me miss mine when they were precious like that and look forward to becoming a grandmother too! Hope you're having a great day,
ReplyDeleteKathy
Are you serious about the half-birthday thing? *sigh* I think even BIRTHDAYS have been taken to a ridiculous level by some. I love the old fashioned home-spun birthday party, or pizza parlor and bowling party type thing.
ReplyDeleteI saw a party being held on Marthas Vineyard for a child that had a full circus. There was actually a valet for parking.
And I didn't mean to make that a negative comment and it sure sounds like one. Take the snarl out of it :-)
ReplyDeleteOh girly...I just love this SC of yours. What a blessing she is...and funny, too!

I love her dress and i also love that she is sooo girly! A girl after my own heart even if she laughs like an old woman!!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that Ria is playing the violin!!! Fantastic!! I love that quote at the end Diana and i couldn't agree more!!!!

Just wait til Sweetcheeks turns 30, we'll see if she is celebrating 1/2 birthdays then! haha! wish our audio was working, 'cause I really want to hear that laugh!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my, that toothless smile is priceless!
ReplyDeleteThe do half birthdays here at the schools if your birthday falls during summer vacation, so my oldest daughter always got to celebrate a half birthday but only for school. I love that little laugh! That is just the cutest!
ReplyDeleteI have a hard time laughing without showing any teeth. Sweet Cheeks, you are a funny girl!
ReplyDeleteDanielle
She is so adorable.
ReplyDeleteI do remember when I was younger one of my friends celebrated her half birthday....I thought it was ridiculous! lol
Ha- how cute! I hope she didn't get M-barrassed after all.
ReplyDeleteI had only one birthday party as a kid..ever! Love the laugh here! ;D
ReplyDeleteThat girl is adorable. What a personality.
ReplyDeleteHer giggle is still as sweet with no teeth!
ReplyDeleteHmmm...she must know about celebrating "unbirthdays" like they do in Wonderland with Alice?!!
