GOOD-BYE ST PATRICK'S DAY-HELLO EASTER!

It has been a long hard winter here for us.

I am going to try to get back to

regular blogging.

Bear with me as health and

family issues are at play.

While I love

St. Patrick's Day and
all things Irish
it is time to drag
 the Easter stuff out
of the basement bins,
and then to move things
around in the china hutch,
and then to bring my
bunnies out of hiding...

Why?  Well, because
 we all know that
ONE THING LEADS
TO ANOTHER,
don't we?

Why-oh-why-
in the midst of all that is going on
do I do this to myself?
Anyway,
It is time to
bring out a couple of
bunnies to
dress up the center of the table.
Look at their cute little faces!
They look so cute there
I think they should be surrounded
by other lovely Spring pieces-
like beautiful napkins.....
And then, of course, I must
drag out my old dishes
that I haven't used for several years.
Garden Party by Pfaltzgraff.
You know I have had these for almost
30 years and I still love them.
I always used them in the
Spring and Summer months
but they have been packed away
for a few years now.
The ruby thumbprint glasses
belonged to Gramma Hazel.
Not wanting to be hidden away
 another little sugared bunny
jumps in to join the fun.
Sweet peeks of what is to come.
A little close up of the florals.
Now-Here is
QUESTION #1~

HOW LONG DO YOU THINK
it will take
SOMEONE to discover that
there are
M&M's in the flower base
that rests just below the bunnies?
QUESTION #2~
When do you think I will discover
that they have all been eaten
unbeknownst to me?

So-there you have it.
Just a touch of Easter here--
but we know here is a lot more to Easter
than bunnies, isn't there?

What are you doing for
Easter or do you bypass
Easter decorating and go right for
Springs Things?

Have a wonderful day~
I'll be around to visit as I can.

  1. We all appreciate and love you and your family. We understand how hard it is to go through major illness in the family, and you have had more than your share of worry and grief. Enjoy your Easter 'pretties' if it gives you joy. Easter traditions are a comfort to family too, especially those Grands. May God grant you all the peace that passes all understanding.

  2. Easter is my spring decorating so plenty of bunnies around. I don’t do as much decorating as I used to but I love springtime decor to brighten things up after winter. Love your rabbits…so cute. I hope spring brings you some relief from all the health issues and everyone feels better as the earth renews. Each bud, blossom, and new growth is a beautiful reminder of the new life we have in Christ.
As for the M&Ms, in my house they’d be discovered immediately and gone in a couple of days! I bet yours isn’t much different! Many blessings,
    Cecilia

  4. Hello! How pretty your bunnies and dishes are! I spotted those M & Ms' right away! If I were there you can bet I'd have had to grab a few!
Here I put the candy out like that and one very cute little boy will have the time of his life eating!
Easter what a wonderful time for gathering family together. I can't wait hope all will be well with y'all and us.
We know the greatest gift of Easter and for that I'm truly thankful. Thank you Lord.

  6. Loving your Easter table setting. I saw the M & M's right away, lol. I don't decorate for Easter. Just fall and Christmas. The rest of the time it is summer here.

  9. Dear Diana, I just posted yesterday since the first time since Thanksgiving. I’m bad! Don’t know if it will improve or not. It has been a long winter here and now that it’s spring, I hope winter weather leaves. I pulled out my bunnies yesterday. Praying you and yours are blessed today and in the coming days!
    Love, hugs and prayers,

Mine are going to be put in place today!
    No way could I have the M & M’s out . . .
    I, ME would have them gone in a flash . . .

Wishing you good health and happy spring days!

  11. Beautiful and YES we love the bunnies. BUT, but I would have to hold Sherry back from the M&M's, however it would not work.
Love you lady, a beautiful post.
    Sherry & jack enjoying Spring...

  12. Your decorations are so pretty! I'm a sucker for bunnies! There is no way I could have those M&Ms in my house and not eat them all myself. Hope you have a lovey day, Diana! -Jenn

  13. Adorable bunnies and yum, M&Ms! My April full moon altar will feature bunnies this year. Hugs to you as you cope with those health and family issues.

  14. You and your family have gone through such a rough patch, Diana, and I know things are still rocky for some. Love those sweet bunnies. I do less seasonal decorating than I used to do, but you have reminded me that I have a couple of small bunnies that would delight my two youngest granddaughters. My seasonal decorating tends to be in-season flowers for the most part.
Praying for you and your family. Hugs,
    Lorrie

  18. Those bunnies sure are cute, Diana. And I love Gramma Hazel's pink glasses. Looks like you have a little bit of Purple in your decor too. It's such a lovely color for Easter. Looking forward to seeing more Easter goodies around your house. And don't get me started with the M&M's. ; )

  19. Welcome back to blog land. You were missed. Your table is beautiful. I would be the one to find the M&Ms ! I love your bunnies. I just got mine out yesterday. I think I only have three left. It’s called downsizing and nobody sees them anymore but me. I hope that you are feeling better and are more comfortable. Looks like you are going to be entertaining regardless. Can’t hold you down. all the best and many blessings to you. Hugs

  20. Your things are gorgeous! I love seeing how people decorate for different holidays. Did you do any other rooms? If so, show us! I noticed the M&M's right away! It is so clever, because they look like the center of the flower! I should have known you would set a genius table, because that is your thing! I am so sorry about all your troubles!!! I hope the spring will be so much better for you.

  21. I want a seat at your table this Easter, please, Diana! :D Love the bunnies and the plates and those M&Ms! LOL.

Years ago, I decluttered all my Easter stuff, except for 3 or 4 bunnies. I think I will display them on the living room mantlepiece, a bit later.

  22. Very pretty Diana, I love the entire table. We're in the middle of some renovation right now, so I don't think I'll be putting up any bunnies. Right now, I'd be happy to just get rid of the tarps!! Enjoy your M&Ms and hope you're feeling better! xo

  23. I'm thrilled to see a few glimpses into your Easter decor Diana....I do enjoy decorating for Spring and Easter, but in smaller scale than I used to....a lovely time of year for certain! Love your treasures today!

  24. The bunnies are so cute and I love those dishes.
I don't decorate for seasons but just kept out and use all the things I love. Don't have anything packed away in boxes.

  25. I am waiting for my son to bring my bin of Easter decorations out of the shed so I can start decorating. Probably this weekend. I'm ready for the bunnies to start hopping around the table again. Yes, we do know the real meaning of Easter, but I also love the fun spring side of Easter and the happiness it emotes when we allow ourselves to just enjoy the JOY of Easter! I love your bunnies and dishes and those cranberry thumbprint glasses remind me of my Grandma. She had a set of those, and they went to my oldest brother when she died. Sadly, he and his wife at that time got divorced a few years later, and she took the cranberry thumbprint glasses with her. When my brother asked for them back, she claimed she tripped and fell and broke them. Sadly, none of us believed that, but now both my brother and his ex-wife have passed away and that's the end of that. I always hoped the glasses would mysteriously show up again someday...but I've accepted the fact that they are gone. I can enjoy seeing yours here on your beautiful table. Sorry I went into that big story. Easter is certainly about more than broken glasses. Christ died so that we can be restored and given new life. Amen.

  26. Loving your Easter looks! I need to be about making the changeover here, too. It’s a question to ponder…why do we continue doing this when it always leads to “one more thing?” Oh, my! The mystery of the missing M&Ms!

  27. I love all your spring/Easter things. Nothing makes me happier than when spring arrives even if it's just inside with pretty spring decorations.
Those m&m's wouldn't last long at my house and if the dish is empty I only have myself to blame.

  28. Hello Friend,
I am a fan of fun napkins too. Your bunnies are sweet.
    Sending Spring Hugs!!

  32. Pretty table setting, Diana! I don't decorate for holidays; only for seasons. After next Wed., I'll be setting out my spring stuff ~

  33. I hope you're feeling better. You and your family are in my thoughts often.

It's nice to decorate for the seasons--makes things a bit cheerful. I have autumnal things that I put up on the equinox--it's a day I look forward to. And then after Thanksgiving I put up winter decorations, which also makes me happy. I always think I should make some spring and summer things--even though I dislike those seasons, having the projects to work on and that I will enjoy looking at when they're done, would cheer me up :-)

    I like your Easter decorations!

  35. Pretty table, Diana! The glasses are gorgeous! To answer your questions, I would eat all the candy before anyone else knew it was there!

  36. Beautiful decorations! You know that one thing does lead to another. Thoughts multiply like rabbits! 🤣 Love those dishes and glassware and the bunnies are adorable! I noticed the M&M's immediately, but I won't tell anybody they're there! I hope that spring brings renewed health and peace with happy days to you and your family! Love & hugs!

  37. I love decorating for Easter and have been getting my bunnies out too. They are so cheerful! I put daffodils and tulips out to enjoy too! Easter is the time of rebirth in the world. Everything is coming up roses here ! I use to think I did this for the children but now I think it is more for me and I would miss it very much.

  39. Diana, your bunnies are so sweet. The m & m's are a nice touch. I have a bag in my pantry I munch on once in a while. Spring is such a lovely time of year. Florals. pastel and some bunnies. I hope things are getting better for you and the family. xoxo

  42. Oh Diana…what a beautiful post! Sad to say…I immediately navigated my eyes and thoughts to the M&M’s…lol But your bunnies and tableware are just gorgeous. I did get my things out last week. We have actually had a very mild winter…so am praying for some nice spring rains. And yes, I will be celebrating Easter with church and family.
Thank you for this post, especially during this turbulent time in your life.

    Blessings,
    Gert

  43. Adorable bunnies!! When it turns April, I will decorate too...but I don't have your cute bunnies. I would eat all the M&Ms...so none will go here, until Easter if the grandsons do their egg hunt here, I will have candy for them...
I don't do a lot of decorating....just a new flag, I always have bunnies in the garden, a cute plate or two...etc...sometimes I sprinkle candy on the table down the middle (but their Mom isn't a fan of that...cause they would eat it before dinner...)

    ReplyDelete
  44. L🐰VE all your Easter!! Pretty, soft, delicate. I know it wouldn't be me eating M&Ms...no chocolate for me.

And yes, I try to bring out something for each holiday. I go overboard for Halloween & Christmas.

  45. Your Easter decor looks so pretty. I no longer have any Easter things so I don't have to feel guilty for not putting anything out. Are the m&m's gone yet? I don't put them out either because they would be gone before they hit the bowl. LOL xo Laura

  46. Take care Diana - hope the Spring weather will bring you better health!

  47. Oh Diana, it's all so pretty!! Yes, it would not take me long at all to discover those M&M's but I will try to leave them for the nest person to find, wink wink. Ugh, soon time for the semi-annual blood draw so it's time to be good.
Have fun placing bunnies and all those spring pretties today!

  48. Your Easter decorations are lovely. I would have noticed the M&M's, and would probably have scooped up a handful!!

  49. Well! I saw the M&M's right away, I guess someone else has got their eyes on them and will be gone in a week! ~smile~ Enjoyed all of your pretty decorations, isn't it nice to get things out that have been packed away for awhile, it's like buying something new!
I have been missing in blogland so I miss a lot of happenings with friends, I hope and pray all is well with you,
    Blessings,
    Sue

    All the best Jan

  52. I hope things are better health wise for you both. That’s a cute table, love the dishes. I think the candy would be discovered in less than 30 minutes and be gone in less than a week! LOL…

  53. Oh I do bunnies galore for Easter! Then later, I move on to more general spring and Mother's Day related things, for May. It's all such fun. Your bunnies are darling and OH! Your dishes and glassware are scrumptious! Love it all, so much. I must get some of those pastel M&Ms! xoxo

  54. I have a thing for bunnies and I just love yours! I do decorate with bunnies and yes, there is a lot more to Easter than bunnies but it is the best excuse to start bringing them out. I finally bought myself a Forsythia wreath for the front door...another sign of Spring to me. Happy Spring! Happy Easter!
