PICK YOUR FAVORITE FALL TABLE-SEAT YOURSELF-THANK YOU~

Well, kids-
Here in the midwest
SUMMER IS OVER
that means we have to
start embracing Fall!

I haven't been around much lately
but thought I would do a
Pick Your Favorite Fall Table post.

There is. lot going on in our family
right now-
Some wonderful things and some
things that are worrisome.
That being said-
I think we all need the chance to
escape to a peaceful place-
and what better place than
sitting at
a table with good friends!

I have always loved the
vibrant colors of Autumn-
the color of the leaves on the trees,
pumpkins and bittersweet....
but I also found some
wonderful Fall inspirations
that are quite neutral
and I love those, too..

You know the routine by now.
I present you with 7 tables
and YOU get to pick
YOUR FAVORITE TABLE SETTING~~~
and after you pick your favorite
I get to make fun of seat you if I so choose.

Of course,
some of you are
SO NICE that I would
NEVER MAKE FUN OF YOU---
Okay---I mighta lied about that.

Anyway....
Ready?
RAISE YOUR HAND
if you would LOVE to sit at this table!
(and leave me a comment and let me
know your hand is up--m'kay?)

TABLE #1
SWEET SERENITY

Okay-Put your arms down-
You can't drink coffee
with your arm in the air, silly.

This one is a bit more colorful.
Would you want to sit at

Table #2?
ORANGE, ORANGE & MORE ORANGE

Next we have
TABLE #3
BLUE & GOLD

Blue not your choice for Fall?
This is the Soft Side of Autumn for me
Aren't those paper leaves cute and fun?

TABLE #4
PAPER  & PEARS
Or-You can pull up a chair and sit here.
A modern look at Fall

TABLE #5
DARE TO BE SQUARE

Don't want to be square?
Well then---
How about the really warm,
 cozy harvest feeling of

TABLE #6
GRAPES? WHERE'S THE WINE?
And last, but not least
Matthew Mead featured by
Martha Stewart.

TABLE #7
I'M IN LOVE WITH IVY
So- There you have it.
What's your pick?

You are welcome to come IF
you promise NOT to spit your food out
when I am not looking.

Now you DO KNOW I can
MOVE YOU
at will, if I so choose, right?
but I won't...unless...you start acting up
like SOME of you are prone to do.
I won't mention any names here.

I can't wait to seat you
with your foodie friends.

Okay- That's it!  Pick your seat-

snicker

Bear with me if I don't respond right away.

I apologize for not visiting you like

I have in years past.

It's been a long few months here.

I am spending the last days up at the camper

and I have no internet up there.

I will tally these as soon as I can.

Meanwhile-sit and party!

  2. Hi Diana! Since I'm the second in line I know you'll seat me first at the table I choose. I love #7. I'm kinda traditional and love those colors. Praying for your son-in-law.

  15. I would like to sit at TABLE #5 DARE TO BE SQUARE.
I love the square plates and the candles.

  16. I pick table number 2 - colorful.

  17. Well, you know me...I always have a difficult time deciding these things. I prefer something more outdoorsy...don't like to be cooped up with no view...LOL. Anyway, I'm thinking it's a toss up between #2 and #7. I like them both, but decided #2 looks like it would be more fun and it looks like there are a lot of plants or greenery in the background, so maybe it is more outdoorsy...so #2 it is. I might be seeing "orange" everywhere after that, but still, it looks casual and relaxed and fun. That's me! Praying for your family and for you. I hope you can relax sometime...maybe when you get back to these tables...sit down and take a load off your feet and just have a good time!!

  18. These tables are all pretty enough to wish it could be a progressive dinner but I know you won't stand for that answer so I'm choosing # 6 even though my guess is that I may be sitting there alone.

Praying daily for Jason, Diana! He sounds like an amazing man!

  19. I have my hand raised for table 1 please. I love the simplicity and calm colors. I’m not big into a lot of the traditional orange for Fall. I Lisa

    ReplyDelete
  20. I hate to say it but I don't like any of them. Go ahead and squeeze me in anywhere you can find room. Or I could just go out back and plop my butt down on a big old pumpkin and watch the festivities from there :)

  21. Table #4 please. I love the dishes, they're beautiful. Thinking of you guys always...lots of prayers. xxoo

  22. I might be alone but I like Table 1. Praying for SIL!

  23. #1 for me. I'm not very fond of orange.

Praying for Jason and all of you.

  24. I’m going with #5 Dare to be Square. I like it!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Table #7 for me...
and continued love and prayers for you and yours.....

  26. Nope. No way. I am not done with summer. Let me know when you are ready for Christmas. There are 4 seasons in my life: Almost Boating, Boating, Almost Christmas and Christmas. Sorry!

    ReplyDelete
  27. #7, please. I love anything Matthew Mead does!

    ReplyDelete
  28. It's gotta be #7 for me! Love the long metal centerpiece!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Why #5 of course - two glasses for double fisted drinkers!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Hard choice but I'm going with #1. I do like #2 also but it's a little too orange for me. I'm not into blues this fall, have been in the past though. #7 was a close contender but I liked the soft green in the first one better. Thanks for the fun once again...I love these posts and reading the comments!

  31. I pick table #2. Orange, orange and more orange my favorite color for fall. Thanks for doing this. It is fun!

  32. They are all great but #7 with the ivy caught my eye. Have a good start to the new week. xoxo Kris

  34. Hmmmm...choices, choices...I do believe I will set myself down at #2 Orange, Orange & More Orange. Can never be enough orange for me - it is one of my all time favorite colors, and I wear it well...

  42. I'm in for table one please

Continued prayers and hope you can rest on your getaway

  43. I like Table #1, but, then, noticed it didn't have a proper table cloth, only a runner! I like having a proper table cloth to spill stuff on! I'll take a seat at Table #7, please! :)

    ReplyDelete
  44. Yup....serenity for me too, table 1.....
    Hugs

  45. Although my favorite color is orange (as you know) I have to pick Serenity since I could use a bit of that in my life-hope my table mates feel the same and don't get all wacko.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Hello Diana, it's nice to see you back blogging. These table setting posts are so popular . . . just look at all the comments. Well my favorite is #1 . . . it's just so simple and uncluttered.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Table one, hands down, love the muted tones, just looks so welcoming. As a mama of 16 kids, we didn't even have enough matching dishes, so we had an assortment of Corelle patterns for our dinner table, so looking at these tables, ahhh, so nice! Now the kids are growing up and we can have nicer things, ha, but we still don't set the table like these! Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed this!

  48. Table #7 for me... I was tossed between #1, so if #7 is too crowded, I can be moved to #1... love the tall taper candles, soft lights and ivy, of course!

    ReplyDelete
  49. I guess I'll choose #5...I need more color! Hugs, and thanks for the fun!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Dare to Be Square, #5 is gorgeous BUT it's fancy so I'd have to get dressed up. Phooey on that. So I'll choose #4 with the pears - it's more casual.

I know life has been very hard for you lately. Sending my love and a big hug.

    xoxo

  51. Wine or no wine! I do like the look of table number six please.

Continued prayers for you and yours.

  53. I hope I'm not too late! ORANGE ORANGE ORANGE!! That is the colour of autumn for me.

  54. OH no! My comment didn't show up. I was kidding in it...in case it did show up and looked sketchy.
