THE RUMOR HAS BEEN EXAGGERATED. I AM NOT DEAD

 So!

There you have it~!

I am alive but have been thinking

of taking up drinking.

My good friend, Laurie,

has offered to help me with the process.

 I want to thank everyone

that reached out to me

and asked if everything was OK.

Everything is good!

I have been trying

to get the condo done

before winter sets in.

It has been hard to find anyone

to do final touches because of Covid.

However, I finally found

a wonderful young man

to come in and install light fixtures

and handrails, etc.  Whoo Hooo.

We didn't even have

smoke alarms in the house.

I have spent all week painting trim.

All the trim was a dark blackish-brown.

It is now a sparkling white.

I am pretty sure it is blessed

because of all the times

I called God's name

while I was painting....just sayin'....

If you have ever painted windows

and/or trim-

you know exactly what I am talking about.

I plan to get back to blogging

regularly soon.

My old computer doesn't  work right or

like me anymore  SO

I am now the proud owner of a

Macbook Pro and I LOVE IT.

Who said you can't teach

an old dog new tricks?

I will soon be sharing

some Christmas fun

from the new place

so please bear with me.

Plus, I still haven't  had time to figure out

the new blogger

...and where the heck are my pictures

on the Mac book now?  LOL....

We are still seeking answers

to John's medical issues

and I have been very involved

with that process.

I need a few more hours in the day.

Take good care and thanks for

sticking by me as I find my way back!

Is it too late to do a

Pick Your Favorite Thanksgiving Table?

  3. Dear friend, so good to see you here! I haven’t been blogging much either, calling out the Lords name in regards to the election. Can’t wait to see how everything is looking. Hubby has a MacBook Pro and we love it; you’ll get the hang of it soon.
    Love and prayers,

  5. I want to be in your drinking club!!!! I do not think it is too late for your pretty tables for Thanksgiving. Probably the only tables we will be seeing this Thanksgiving with the numbers so high and no gatherings. Ugh! Hugs and Happy Weekend. xoxo Kris

  9. Hi Friend,
I am excited to see the condo.
I too have been painting. We stained and changed the trim color of the outside of our home in September. In October we tackled the boys room and made it a guest room.. I have a story about that, I will share on the blog soon. Now, I am working on making over the boys old play room. I want to get it done before the first of December. Crossing my fingers, toes and more. Ha!
Take Care my dear.. hey.. our birthday's are coming up already!!

  10. No! It's not too late. Looking forward to seeing the condo and I'm with you! I hate painting trim! Still need to do another coat on the trim around the new opening into the new living room and the door. Ugh. Been putting it off but I should probably do it before Thanksgiving! Glad you have a computer that works now!
    Hugs, Cecilia

  12. Oh goodness, I've been thinking about you lately, it always happens to me and here you are !
Yes, things get slower with this COVID situation, but I'm so glad you are fixing up your condo.
Do place a fav Thanksgiving table, I love to see them. Although I have ours posted for six, which is us and our two daughters and hubbys. My dear hero, as you say, just gifted me with a beautiful china for my birthday last Oct. 20.
So happy to see you around blogland dear friend.

  13. Over the years I have found 'trim painters' are hard to find. And after I did it a few times (window especially) I learned why. Tough job you chose. LOL
Glad to see the alert and know you are alive and 'almost well'. Sending love and a good adaption of patience.
Take care and be safe above all.

  20. It's never too late for pick your favorite table.
Finding people to do work is hard. It took me forever to find someone to replace an exterior door and that was before covid. Then on top of that it's even harder to find someone who is going to do a good/thorough job. I know several people who told me who NOT to call.

  21. Happy you are A-OK . . .
Maybe a Mac Pro is my answer . . .
I am finding I can’t do everything on my iPad.
(Although, I have figured out most.)
Stay safe, happy, well . . . happy you have completed the window trim paint job!
    Whoooo Hoooooo . . .

  22. Diana, Well I sure happy you are still with us. :) I thought you were keeping busy trying to get to the bottom of John's health issues. I pray everyday for you both. I need a whole new computer and a person who can operate for me. LOL. I had to call our phone company and let them take control of ours. They got our old email back from 2 years lost. No pictures. Some of our problems need in house tech...but we aren't having anyone in. I am glad you got the lights and the rails done at your new home. Hey, I thought someone had turned the lights on , once I got the cataracts fixed. LOL It is the best to be able to see again. I got a bagel stuck in the toaster and it set of the fire alarms. I go to check on Ted in his bed and he is all snuggled down in his covers. I asked him, "Are you going to stay there and burn up?' I can tell you I would have flown out of bed at that sound..So please do not get your bagel stuck to try the smoke alarms out. LOL. Blessings to you my dear friend, love you, xoxo, Susie

  23. Our worlds are similar right now Diana! I am too alive ;) but swamped with getting the house ready for winter...we had a lot of renovations and repairs to do and we're nearly there. I'd love to pick a Thanksgiving table! :)

  24. Glad to hear that you finally have someone to get things done at the condo! We have had such a problem trying to get our kitchen remodeled here at my condo. Nobody follows through. It is never too late for a Thanksgiving table!

  29. Not too late at all! It was fun to read your post today and laugh along with you even while knowing that sometimes that's all you can do. I love my Macbook Pro too. The best of health answers for your sweetheart!

  30. It's good to see you are hanging in there and keeping busy. Your blog posts have been missed and hope to see more soon. Trim work has to be one of the most tedious jobs there is.

  31. I want the table up front where I can run back and refill my plate, and Bocephus wants to join me, he likes turkey (Bocephus is my silly dog in case you haven't guessed)

  32. I know you have been super busy..Glad you are enjoying your Mac..I love mine..Of course Apple just put out a new computer with a different operating system so our Macs will be obsolete in no time...There's no way I can afford another one so ....Your pictures should have been transferred with your other stuff..They should be on your toolbar..I'm up for picking a table even if we can't sit at it..Hugs..

  33. You sound very busy! And good to get that done before winter, though I know your big priority is your husband's health. The good juju continues to come your way from Michigan!

  36. Don't fret yourself over a Thanksgiving table post. Focus on your home and family and, of course, we'll want to see pics. Having done a bit of painting lately...how I loathe painting...I understand completely. To anyone, politician, miserable little doctor or karen-type who suggests no Thanksgiving, I have two words: Stuff it! Take care...

  37. Sooooo glad you're alive lol! Technology is fickle, but thank goodness we have it, eh! It is NOT too late for a Thanksgiving pick your table!! Hugs and love!

  38. Well, you KNOW that you'll have a never-ending supply of FatCat~HappyDog wine, gf! Just holler! Lol! :) I'll bet that you feel so good to be getting so much done in your sweet new home, Diana. Just think of how far you've come! I'm so happy for you! I'm keeping you and John in my prayers, sweet friend, and sending you a tub of love! :)

  39. Glad to hear it.

You are a brave strong woman - no way this body could paint trim ever again.
That's why I bore children, haha. Granted I have to pay them a king's ransom to do it, but hey win-win, ya know?

    Praying for John.

Can't wait to see your condo - what a huge change verses your manor house, gotta love it. Wish I could talk my hubs into downsizing, but he won't budge and he is still working and he is younger, so he wins. ♥

And heck no it isn't too late for a Thanksgiving picky pick pick tablescape!

Grats on your new computer - my daughter and her hubs have that one and loooove it.

    Big warm sisterly miss-you-muc-but-don't-stress-blog hugs.

  40. Diana....you remind me of Willie Nelson’s song “Still Not Dead”, 🎶 I don’t care what the gardener said, I’m still not dead today🎶! Cute song!!! But I really want you to know, I’m so glad you’re both ok. I figured you were busy working on the condo and praying your hubby was okay.
I would love to see some Thanksgiving table settings if you would like to do them again!!!

    Blessings and good health,
    Gert

  41. Well, I have been wondering where you were, but knew you had lots of "issues" going on in your life and that you would show up and share with us when the time was right. And I know what it is like to move into a new place that needs a lot of work. We did that last year and I am still finding things that need to be done, but we've about run out of energy and money so it will just have to do! Living on S.S. and a teeny weeny retirement income greatly limits what we can do. Yes, a Thanksgiving table would be lovely. I need some fresh ideas! Praying still for your hubby. Take one day at a time. God is with you.

  42. I am happy to hear that you are still with us:) Just take your time and come back when you can. It’s not too late for the Thanksgiving table post🦃. Hugs

Yes, painting trim is horrid...hence why we now hire someone...but you are right...finding someone is hard these days.
    Hang in there....
