She wore flowers in her hair-
Yes she did!
42 years of marriage started here-
on the riverbank in Alva, Florida.
Whoop-de-doo
when did his hair disappear?
sigh
The bride wore a Gunne Sax gown
and the groom wore a
BLUE LEISURE SUIT!
LOL
Then, we had to re-marry a few years later
IN A CHURCH
just to make everyone happy!
And where are those pictures?
Yeah- I am wondering that, too!
Hope you all have a wonderful day.
I am planning on doing the same!
Happy Anniversary to you both! You both look beautiful. I remember that style of dress that you wore and I loved the style. My DH also enjoyed wearing leisure suits too - they were comfortable. On the 28th of this month, I will be celebrating 57 years with my DH. We were high-school sweethearts. A few years ago, my DH and I went to our 55th class reunion. We were the only ones in the room still married to each other. LOL Have a great day. Love reading your blog and your prayer requests.
ReplyDeleteHe is wearing the heck out of that suit!
ReplyDelete:-)
And you look like Farah Fawcett! What a cool era.
Congrats on your years!
Congratulations on your anniversary. You look beautiful in your Gunne Sax dress (I loved that style) and you husband is very handsome. Enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary and what a lovely couple! I would love to see the other pictures when you find them myself! Beautiful Diana and Hero looks great in his leisure suit, how well do I remember those!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary Diana. You are still as lovely as ever. In fact you look like a young Dyan Cannon, whom I love, by the way! I loved those Gunne Sax dresses and mine was similiar. Also Mr. Sissie had a blue leisure suit with a shirt that matched the lining! Your Man was styling!
ReplyDeleteI hope that you have many more wonderful years together.

The clothes of our past haunt us through time. That blue leisure suit is da bomb! I recently saw some drapes that looked just like a pair of bell bottoms I wore in 1971.

Happy Anniversary to you and your man Diana. What a wonderful legacy to give your kids. We just celebrated 39 yrs, it went by so fast. I remember Gunne Sax dresses(I had several)and my hubby wore a leisure suit for his going away outfit-the days of John Travolta. You were a beautiful bride and your hubby was quite handsome. You are still a beautiful bride! May you have many more decades together.
