  3. #6 -- I'd love to sit down with citrus!

  4. Oh, your sweet flowergirl! Talk about outshining the bride!

I'd opt for #3, for the pink roses, though i'd want to sit at that third place down, so as to see across the table. Which is, in its bare, knotty glory, so much like our own dining table back in Mississippi. It's an enormous trestle table, copied by my Daddy from a picture in an Ethan Allen catalog back in the seventies. I tore out the picture and stuck it on his workshop wall with a thumbtack, and voila!! At Christmas it arrived in a huge truck, with its heavy lyre legs secured with big wooden pegs through. It seats twelve without a leaf, and I'm remembering all those long-ago celebrations and homework sessions and Yahtzee games of its life in our house there.

The lack of silverware denotes a degree of informality, so I'm hoping fried chicken and crudite and fried peach pies, warm from a black skillet.

    Stay COOL, faraway friend!

  5. I think it would be #1 - it was the red and white pitchers that clinched it. -Jenn

  6. The prettiest, of course, was little Ria! She would be my first choice.
As for the settings, I'm going with number 3. Kind of a rustic luxe right?

  7. #4 Absolutely!

You know, I find it suspect that one who ordinarily plays fast and loose with the rules, lays down the law today. I'll take #4 out under the arbor. Thank you! ☺

  18. I'll take a seat at number 4, please. Round tables are much easier for conversation. Little Ria will be sitting there, too, I hope. If she needs a cuddle I'll hold her on my lap - I have two grand girlies who suck their thumbs, too. Everyone needs a little comfort.

  25. My brother had an outdoor wedding at a public park because they had a building he could rent plus a gazebo. Ended up being way too hot, bright, and two guys on the others side of the park you could hear from a mile away.
