Hi there!
My friend that encouraged me to
BLOG
BLOG
in the first place
is having
HIP SURGERY
tomorrow morning.
Since switching over to this
new computer I can't pull up
any of my old pictures
so I don't have a picture of her.
She did write this book though
and I was able to find it on the
internet.
Interesting title, huh?
(and a good book)
However,
She says she has
NO FEAR
NO FEAR
going into this surgery.
Not sure I would be that calm.
Three years ago she had
HIP SURGERY
on her other hip
and had a good recovery.
Six months ago she had
KNEE SURGERY
on her right knee
on her right knee
and she has done
really well since then.
However,
HER LEFT KNEE
is killing her and
is killing her and
without this surgery
she will be in a
wheelchair because of the pain.
To complicate matters,
her back has been
"giving her fits"
(as they say in the South)
and she is in constant pain.
Because of the upcoming surgery
she has not been able to take
pain meds.
Please say a prayer that the
SURGERY will be SUCCESSFUL
and that JETTIE
will have an
EASY RECOVERY.
If you are not a PRAY-ER
please send your good wishes.
I told her she should go for a
BOOB JOB
while she was under the knife
cuz there aren't too many
things left to be replaced.
Hmmmm...maybe that's why
she doesn't want a
BOOB JOB!
(yeah- I know surgery isn't funny---
BUT---Jettie wouldn't expect
any less from me)
LOL, love the comic:) I will say a prayer for your friend. I am just so grateful that they can do these replacement surgeries. My hubby had his hip done last year and recovered pretty easily. He was so bad before surgery he was on crutches so it sure works miracles.
ReplyDeletePrayers. Sure hate to hear two big surgeries so close.
ReplyDeleteThank you Diana, I am wondering what you are drinking though this is the other knee, not the other hip. They call me Bionic Woman at church. Thanks for the prayers in advance everyone.. I'll just keep the sagging boobs and the sagging chin. And no, I'd expect nothing less than this from Diana.....
ReplyDeleteSo knee then? Saying a prayer for Jettie.
ReplyDeleteOf course I will pray for her speedy recovery. I know that she will be fine. She is almost bionic woman.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Mary

May God bless Jettie.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a nice day, Diana. Take care.
Sending prayers and positive thoughts for your sweet friend Jettie and all of her medical team. Laughter is the best medicine, so I hope she has many moments of laughter during her recovery! Jane
ReplyDeleteShe sounds like a great person!! I was talking to a woman last week who had both knees replaced and she said it was the best thing she ever did! I think replacing things like knees and hips has become so routine that the medical industry is very good at it. Although, I do feel terrible for her, having to endure the pain leading up to the surgery. I hope all goes well and her recovery is quick! -Jenn
ReplyDeleteDiana, I will pray for Jettie. Sounds as if she's been thru plenty . She's going to be a bionic woman. Bless her heart. Hope you are able to get out up there in the snow. Hugs and blessings, xoxo, Susie

Linda :o)
As someone who has worked in PT for the past 30 years, I can totally relate to her situation, although I myself have never had to have this kind of surgery. It sounds like Jetti is a real trooper. I'm so sorry she has to go through all of this so I will pray for her stay strong and heal quickly!
ReplyDeleteI will keep her in my prayers, dear Diana.
ReplyDeleteOoh . . .that's a lot of surgery. Prayers for your dear friend.
ReplyDeletePrayer sent. I know how full knee replacement is as left one is still in recovery. Thank goodness my hips are okay, so far.
ReplyDeletePraying all will go well for your friend. xo
ReplyDeleteNor would anyone else..
ReplyDeleteSounds like she has a good surgeon..Is her knee hurting her because of her hip or does she need that knee done as well..Hoping for an uneventful procedure and recovery..
So sweet and yes in prayer for Jettie!
ReplyDeleteOh, I so relate to two hip surgeries, but a knee too? Oh my! Prayers going up for your sweet friend.
ReplyDeleteDiana, This post really spoke to me and you know why. Even though the test I'm getting won't be painful, it's the results that scare the you know what out of me. Thanks for sharing, I'll be praying for Jettie.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Noreen
I'll keep her in my prayers! I sure hope it helps and she doesn't have the pain. I noticed your new banner...oh so cute! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteSending prayers and hugs for Jettie!
ReplyDeleteHappy thoughts, prayers and wishes for a quick recovery...
ReplyDeleteMay their surgery go well
ReplyDeleteI remember a comedian talking about going to hooters with the whole family. The old uncle said "where did you get them things" and she said "I bought them"
his old wife said "maybe I should get me some"
and he said "that's like putting a new chandelier in a haunted house"
I love when people debate real vs fake. I've been with women who had fake ones, and fake Cs and Ds are better than real As and Bs. Women aren't the only ones who can comment about "size matters"
Prayers for your friend Jettie ☺
ReplyDeleteLove your header ! :)
ReplyDeleteYou crack me up....why not get that boob job while in there, ha ha ! :)
on the contrary...
ReplyDeletelaughter doeth good like a medicine! xoxo
And I was the lucky one who won Jettie's book on your drawing from your blog!
ReplyDeleteI hope Jettie reads these comments and feels the love!
Thanks to you Diana and get well soon wishes for Jettie! xx
