Yep!
The HOUSE is for sale.
It is no longer HOME to me---
It now becomes a commodity--
It will be my loss but someone else's gain.
A home for them to love and live in.
I have never really shown a lot of pictures
of my house.
So-folks- today is the day.
I am going to break this up into a few
posts because I have about
fifty or more pictures.
Today I will do the outside.
Driving up you see this:
We sit below the main road a bit.
This was taken with a drone.
The main house is to the left.
To the right with the little 'porch'
is 1800 sq.ft. of heated garage
that can hold up to 6 or 7 cars.
This also backs up to a cul-de-sac
so that you can get a motorhome
in and out of the garage easily.
If you were to come in from the water
the house looks like this-
taken with a drone:
You can see the beach---
A bit closer-
also taken with the drone-
One of my little garden areas...
And, of course, the playhouse....
Walking up to the front door-
And that brings us to the front door...
which I will open for you in
future post.
So, after the scrubbing and cleaning was done
I ran to WALLY WORLD to get
a couple of things....
It is always
SUCH a treat to see what
WALLYWORLD
has to offer...
Like bananas and oranges--
ORANGE YOU GLAD I
DIDN'T SAY YELLOW?
AND---
Let's not forget it is
PACKER SEASON
in Wisconsin!
Everyone needs an outfit like this...
just sayin'....
Have a great day!
I'll be back with more pictures
of the house---
Stunning. I have no other words. (Oh and I'm talking about the house...not your Wally World friends!)
ReplyDeleteWow! I can't wait to see the inside! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteHi Diana, wow your house and property is gorgeous!! It must be a lot of work to stage a house to sell. I wish you a lot of luck and I hope it sells fast for you. All the best. Julie

ReplyDeleteDiana, Your house is way bigger than I ever thought. :):) Very nice and so well kept. Come on girl, you know some people only have a taste in food. ;) That's like painting a house outside...I think people should take a color test before being allowed. LOL. Kidding, incase someone thinks otherwise. Where ever you go with your Hero and Family will always be your home. Blessings, xoxo,Love, Susie

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful home! I know it is packed full of memories, but the good thing is you can take the memories with you. Your home will always be with your hero and your family. I cannot even imagine what it must be like to live each day in such surroundings with the beauty of the beach and water and all those trees and gardens and Heaven only knows what nooks and crannies in the house and playhouse. You've been blessed and will continue to be.
ReplyDeleteYour home is beautiful and the setting is too, but you must know that I am head over heels in love with that playhouse! Whoever the next owner will be, they will be buying a home that is not only beautiful, but radiates all the love that has been living inside.

Do you know how much your comment meant to me? I gave Landon his hug and he did his little rocking and flapping thing and smiled at me. Your words of understanding are so sweet. I have missed so much by not keeping in touch with my sweet friends here.

Beautiful house. Can't wait to see inside! Your garage is about as big as my city house. :-) Still, it is a little sad to think of it as a house and not a home.
ReplyDeleteYour Wally World pictures are always a treat. I've seen some outfits in poor taste at mine but yours? The stuff legends are made of. Hilarious!
Hugs,
Cecilia
What a beautiful property and so beautifully maintained! You have worked hard and so I am praying that you reap the rewards. Yes, at some point, it ceases to be home, which only means that home is waiting.
ReplyDeleteMy oh my, Diana. That is a beautiful home you have there. It has such wonderful details, and that setting!! I loved seeing your pictures, but the one thing that I kept thinking was, "Imagine 20 years ago, if someone had told you that a little machine is going to fly up in the air and hover there and take pictures of your house for you!" Amazing! -Jenn
ReplyDeleteHello, sweet Diana! Thank you for coming and visiting me. I love your home, I can see why you loved it too. I hope whomever is lucky enough to live there will love it as much as you did. It is so gorgeous from the outside, I cannot wait for your tours on the inside!
ReplyDeleteWow! How beautiful! I love the playhouse!

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your home. It is beautiful ... looking forward to the peek inside. Can we have a peek inside the playhouse too? :-) Blue Eyes can take us for the tour? :-)
ReplyDeleteCarla
Your home is absolutely gorgeous girl! But, I'm so ready to move out of my home as well. I love our current home, it was a dream. But it's way too much for me to take care of. And I'm hoping to move somewhere a little warmer. Just like in Wisconsin, it's gets pretty cold here in IL. I'm sure your home will sell quickly. Best wishes to you on your new adventure.
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous! I love the white, the yard, gardens, you name it. I can see a family living there with kids and having a blast. Wishing you the best!

How fortunate you are to have such a lovely home by a beach. It has to be hard to leave. I wish you all the best on your next chapter.
ReplyDeleteOmg! Your house is huge and so pretty! It's a treat to get to see it in full this time. I don't feel like I've ever really seen it. What a fabulous property you live on. I can't imagine having my own private beach and that enormous garage! I can't wait to see the inside next. I hope that it doesn't take too long to sell. Someone will be lucky to have it!
ReplyDeleteDiana, your house is beautiful. I was just complaining to Nel today that housing in California is sooooo expensive. You have such a vast area, and everything looks so green and groomed. Can't wait to see more!
ReplyDeletelove, ~Sheri
Diana your home - now up for sale is beautiful and hopefully the next caretakers will find the peace and serenity your home provided you and your family. Hope it sells quickly for you.
ReplyDeletexo,
Vera
So you have been holding off on pictures of your gorgeous home, Diana! I feel for you having to sell, it's so lovely. I wish you all the best wherever life takes you. As long as you have your loved one, you have everything. ;-D
ReplyDeleteLove and hugs,
Jane
Beyond beautiful my friend. Anyone would love the sq footage of the garage alone. Your home is gorgeous and the water views are stunning. Terry wants to buy just the garage lol!!! He could fill that with lots of tools. Now you just need the right buyer. Good luck let the adventure begin!
ReplyDeleteHugs
Kris
Your home is so stately and magnificent ... and huge!
ReplyDeleteThose Wally World pictures gave me a very big laugh. Girl, you should see the one I managed to get while at my doctor's visit last week. Lord have mercy, that woman should not have been out in public in that outfit, but nobody made me the fashion police so no ticket was issued.
Your home and property are absolutely beautiful! Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteMay the leaving be relatively easy and the right buyers come along at the right time.
Love, hugs & prayers ~ FlowerLady
I'm sad you're leaving!
ReplyDeleteHi Diana, I love having you back from your time away. O.k. I wondered why you would move from your house and now I know-how cow girl, you have a mansion to take care of! 7-8 car garage, what was your hubby thinking. The view of the lake is incredible. Can't wait to see more of the inside. Sending love your way.
ReplyDeleteNoreen
I know this was a difficult decision, but looking at this huge house and grounds, I can see why you needed to do this! It's gorgeous, and I'm sure it will sell very quickly. I'm excited to see the inside!
ReplyDeleteWarm hugs!
Carol
What treasure chest you found to get a house like that?
ReplyDeleteWow, this is the kind of home I see on the many HGTV shows I watch mindlessly every day! Gorgeous! So sorry you have to leave it. The pictures in the end are hilarious. I see this at our Wally World weekly. Glad to know it's not just where I live which is dubbed "the 315-ers" ie. redneck county of NY!
ReplyDeleteYour home is beautiful! The above commenter I agree with: like a house from HGTV!
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Diana... WOW... it looks gorgeous, so much to love about it... I am sure someone will come along and want to make it their forever home... I will pray and send out good wishes for you and your family too...

Such an incredibly beautiful home and view Diana, and I pray that the Lord blesses you and John and helps you through the moving/selling process into a new place that will be just as perfect for you! Hugs and love!
ReplyDeleteOn now to read the other posts. God bless you two as you make this transition. I know what you mean by a house becoming a commodity. One of these days soon we will be downsizing, and that's just the mindset needed. xo
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh what a gorgeous house and lot! I know it will sell really quickly! Wish we were still in the market for a house, I would surely try and convince my husband to buy yours! Looking forward to seeing the next pictures....Sorry I have not been around a lot lately. Summer and kids and now home school have kept me crazy busy but I'm hoping to get back to a regular blogging schedule soon. Have a great week, Diana! xoKathleen

ReplyDeleteI pray they soon show up. So then you can start to move on. I mean any of us here by the comments. Like me. It looks like a home for movie stars. Spot on everything. Spotless.
Thank you again for showing your home. I have prayed for you from day one when you said your going to sell and downsize. Love you .
You certainly have a unique home, Diana! So spacious and well organized! Sad that you must leave. Best of luck with the sale and I hope you will be able to find something cozy and to your taste.
