THANK YOU!
THANK YOU!!
THANK YOU!!!
Thank you for all your prayers!
His lung scan came back today.
The small 'spots' are gone.
The other spots remain unchanged
so are most likely old scar tissue.
That is a huge relief
It means he can continue the treatment
as it is outlined.
However, he has moved to
a new stage of pain level.
Please keep him in your prayers
as we move to
a stronger pain relief medication.
He cannot take
some of the more common ones and,
because he cannot swallow,
he can't take the time released ones.
He will move to a pain relief patch
at this point.
Thanks again for all your prayers!
We believe that miracles
often come in small doses.
There was a good chance
that the cancer had metastasized
to his lungs
and it appears that has not happened.
Praise the Lord!
SO- Y'all are
NOT FIRED
as pray-ers!
You did good!
Very, very good!
I will keep you posted!
Nurse Ratchett signing out
for the day!
Such wonderful news! "Nurse Ratchett," your tactics are definitely in order during this time. Praying that the pain relief patch will be effective!...xo Nellie

ReplyDeleteOh Sweet D, this is good news. You have the best team of prayers in blogland! This will crack you up. I have a friend who had a lung cancer scare this week. I texted her "Hail Mary's from here". She texted back . . . football? I responded . . . "Not a reference to Aaron Rodgers, you CHEESEHEAD!" The story has a happy ending . . . the nodules were benign. May God continue to bestow his blessings to your hero, to you and your family, and those that are working so hard to heal your hero!

ReplyDeleteoh I do hope and pray that things do improve. Control of pain is a very big deal and so I hope they find something quickly. I know that meditation and breathing really help (as in childbirth the breathing helps) but don't know much else. A friend of ours has spent his entire adult life in pain being injured during WW2 and although he regained the use of his limbs after a time he was in constant pain, that followed by kidney cancer. He had to go to a pain clinic where he was taught techniques to help control it. Along with good meds. I know that's not much inspiration but I do understand. Take care of each other. Hugs, Janice
ReplyDeleteGlad the lung scan is clear and hope the pain can become under control soon. Stay strong.
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful news! I'm doing my happy dance for you both! Hugs to you sweet lady!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful news!
ReplyDeleteJeanine
Yes! Yes! Yes!
ReplyDeleteSo happy the lung scan was good.
Poor guy dealing with the pain.
Sure hope the meds will keep him comfortable
as he continues his treatment.
May God continue to bless and keep him - and YOU!
So glad to hear the good news. Bless you both.
ReplyDeleteRemaining hopeful nurse Ratchett!!! Continued prayers and a big smile for the both of you! Please make sure you are taking good care of yourself.....Diana! Big HUG!<3
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about you guys Diana! Big prayers and hugs for you. So glad he had good news on his CT. I had one on Monday for a nodule they found on my lung when my appendix acted up and my six month check looked good and now I wait a year and check it again. I'm sending you hopes for health and strength. Take care of yourself too sweet lady!
ReplyDeleteGood news is wonderful. I will keep up my praying for you all. I once told someone...we can all use prayers even if we are not in crisis. Sheila
