For the second year in a row my
Little Lulu
opened the Christmas lighting ceremony for
On Broadway
in downtown west Green Bay.
She sang about 6 or 7 songs solo
and then Santa came on stage
to join the fun.
She did a fantastic job.
(Much better than Nana did on the picture taking).
I am working outside getting my lights up
while we have sunshine.
It is only 16 degrees here by the bay
this morning-
but supposed to go up to 35 degrees today.
A real heat wave, folks!
Have an awesome Sunday
(am I too old to say awesome)
I'll be back in a day or so!
Congrats to Lulu on her songs and opening for Santa at the lightening ceremony. I know it is a proud moment!! Have fun decking the halls!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday! xo
Ugh...raining here today, wanted to do my lights...hopefully this week.
ReplyDeleteThankful little Carter is better.
ReplyDeleteHaven't started decorating for Christmas as yet...family over today for a Mexican Casserole and a pot of beans cooked with that ham hock I had from Thanksgiving ham...will do my decorating this coming week.
Congratulations to Lulu...how fun
How wonderful! I'd love to hear her sing! Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteohhhhhhh 16 degrees, that's COLD !
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Lulu, I know it was beautiful.
I may not get to decorate this year, but I am looking forward to seeing everyone's decor.
How exciting for Lulu! Most of my proud moment pictures aren't the greatest because I'm too busy bawling my head off! Ha! Girlfriend, (am I too old to say "girlfriend"?) you have way more ambition than I do on this cold, frosty morning. I can't wait to see the results!
ReplyDeleteCan Santa sing too?
ReplyDeleteSo happy that Lulu was able to use her beautiful voice to sing for the opening. Sooooo sweet.
ReplyDeleteKris
Wow, that is impressive for a girl her age. I loved to sing growing up too. 16? Ha! I put our lights out yesterday because it was 70!!
ReplyDeleteWow, 6 or 7 songs for Lulu, that's great! I wish I could hear her sing. I can't believe it was 16 degrees there this morning........that's sooooo cold. Have a fun time putting up your lights. I might decorate inside for Christmas today. : )
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Sunday, Diana.
love, ~Sheri

ReplyDeleteDiana,
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful! You must be beaming with great pride! Because I am smiling just knowing your the joy you experience through pretty Lulu. Hope you've got those long johns on under your clothes putting up your lights!

Singing that many songs solo is a very big job for a little girl. Well done!
ReplyDeleteYou are out in 16 degrees? AWESOME! I'll say it! '-)
ReplyDeleteWould love to hear Lulu sing.
I know you are so proud of Lulu. Hope you have some hot tea or cider to enjoy when you come in from those frigid temps!
ReplyDeleteBrrrrrrr! Stay warm, Diana!
ReplyDeleteNever too old to say awesome! Brave woman for putting out lights....I could, it's 'nice' enough here, but I'm passing this year. wow, it's great that Lulu has retained the honor of opening for Santa, be proud, very proud.
ReplyDeleteWow! What an honor, Diana! You must all be so proud of her! :)
ReplyDeleteStay warm! At least the sun is shining here....and there's no snow! lol
xoxo laurie
That's wonderful that little Lulu shares her talent. Such an honor for a child so young! Be careful putting up lights, Diana. It's really cold where you live. We've had temps in the upper 70's this past week. Kinda weird for us. xo ♥
ReplyDeleteFabulous! I love to hear about the kids getting showcased, especially during the holidays. What a thrill!! I hate to tell you this, but it's 65 degrees here today. It's a little unnerving, but I'm still not willing to trade with you! ;) xo
ReplyDeleteThat is simply outstanding! She's full of talent and I'm so glad she had this opportunity. Hope you're being careful with your outside decorating! It's been very cold and rainy here for days...I'm over it!

Diana, No you are totally still young enough to say awesome. LOL. You kill me girl. I would have loved hearing Lulu sing. Hey, I am afraid 30 degrees is going to start looking good. Today is cloudy once again...but it's a brighter cloudy LOL. I did some outdoor décor yesterday also. Blessings to all, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteBoy, that Lulu is talent. And yes, we can be awesome at our age.
ReplyDeleteHi Diana, I know you are so proud of Lulu.
ReplyDeleteStay warm with those temps.....mercy!
Hugs, Barb
Usually our weather is so much more similar! It's been so warm here! Congratulations to her!
ReplyDeleteYour granddaughter is really special being able to do that at such a young age and beautiful too! Hope you got your lights up - we did today - but it was much warmer here.
ReplyDeleteGood for her...You have a very talented family..You're never too old to say "awesome"..as long as you're not to old to feel it!!! We are in the 40's..Very raw today..Have a good evening Diana..
ReplyDeleteCongratulation to Lulu, I know she did an outstanding job. I am freezing at 50 and look like I am heading off to Alaska LOL
ReplyDeleteHave a great week Diana and hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Hugs,
Mary
go Miss LULU ~!!!
ReplyDeletealmost don't wanna say it was 68 this afternoon..
stay warm..
How cool is that? You must be so proud!!! My husband puts up lights at the latest the day after Thanksgiving in order to beat the Chicago cold. This year he put them up a week even earlier than that, although we don't dare turn them on until after Thanksgiving:)

Wow!! That is fantastic. I know you are a proud grandma. Enjoy your heat wave. I'll just suffer in the 60 degree temperatures we have here. (I shouldn't brag. Those temperatures you are having will be here all too soon.)
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful for LuLu and for all of you to watch her! I thought 37 degrees was too cold...16?! yuck! No, you are not too old to say
ReplyDeleteawesome :-0
Bless Lulu's heart and her proud nana's heart, too. Santa was lucky to share the stage with that girl. :) 35 degrees sounds good. It got up to a whopping 19 degrees here today. We should have temps in the 40's later this week. Go ahead and say "awesome". You've earned it girl. xo
ReplyDeleteI bet she sounded lovely! You should have recorded to share with us!
ReplyDeleteIt's been raining here for 2 days and it is cold rain with wind. Congrats to Lulu for opening for Santa...I bet she was really excited.
ReplyDelete~Cindy
If your Lulu is the opener for Santa - you are NEVER too old to say AWESOME!!! Enjoy your week! Blessings, Cindy xoxo
ReplyDeleteWow you must be so proud! How special and what a memorable part of her life. I hope you got a video of her singing! We're back home now and it's cold but no snow which I'm grateful for.
ReplyDeleteThat's So AWESOME. Congrats Nana!! You must be very proud of her.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!!
Karen
Congrats, Lulu! I bet she has an amazing voice! 16 degrees??? Wow! We were just hoping to get below 60 so it would feel more "winter like." Hee hee! But for once, we don't have the a/c on (or the heat) so I can't complain.
ReplyDeleteWhat a talented young lady Lulu is, Diana! Your heart must just burst with pride.
ReplyDeleteYou sure have determination getting those lights up for the Christmas season! brrrrrrrr! Good for you!
Have a wonderful week.
Love to you.
