I am a little
"off-my-game"
this month.
Time has just gotten away from me.
I didn't even get this little guy's present
in the mail until yesterday.
Crazy ol' Nana-
I am pretty sure that is what
his mom & dad are saying.
Anyway,
Charlie was born after a
LONG LONG LABOR.
It was SO LONG that we were all getting scared.
All of a sudden- WHOOP-
they took him by C-Section.
He was a big boy and they would have had
to break his shoulders to deliver him via
the "normal route" and
I am gonna leave that thought
right there, thank you.
I could not find my folder with
his baby pictures in it.
So, I will just post these in no particular order.
He USED TO LOVE riding in his car seat.
At least most of the time he did.
However, here is
Mr. Pouty Pants
NOT LIKING HIS CAR SEAT ANYMORE!
As you can see, my daughter's sense of humor
We hoped, kinda like a puppy,
that he would grow into his feet.
He has entertained us in more ways than one.
Just give him a microphone!
Or some hay-
Or some leaves-and he is a happy boy.
(with an unearthly glow)
Sometimes he is a real stinker-
trust me~
Sometimes he is kinda spooky-
And now he has a wonderful little sister
to love on, too.
He is her best audience.
We miss being closer to him and his family...
now that they live several hours away...
but we know they are happy and that is
A GOOD THING.
That was a year ago.
This year Charlie started pre-school!
He wants to be a race car driver..
Please make SURE it is an ORANGE car!
So---Happy Birthday to our little guy that
is full of monkey shines during the day....
But is an angel baby when he is fast asleep.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CHARLIE!
You are growing up
WAY TOO FAST!
You'll be a
CAR HOP before we know it!
I do want you to know that the
name I dubbed him with when he was a baby
Charles-In-Charge
fits him perfectly!
Do I know how to call them, or what?
I will announce the magazine
winner tomorrow.
Gotta get a little hand here to grab a name!
ps. that means you can still
sign up HERE today!
It's Tuesday- so you all know where I am!
Listening to some war stories!!!
Happy Birthday, Charles! Your Nana didn't forget your birthday.....she's just been busy trying to keep her clothes on. HeHe!
ReplyDeleteI just BUST out laughing when I got to the grow into his feet picture! :)

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your little Charles! They grow too fast don't they! He and his brother and sister are all just as cute as can be!
ReplyDeleteHappy belated Birthday Wishes to him.
ReplyDeleteAt this age, a date doesn't make too much difference, to them.
And if he gets a "late" present to open... What could be more fun???? Here he thought his birthday was over with. And it isn't!
He is soooo cute! Happy Birthday Charles in Charge!
ReplyDeleteToo cute!! Happy Birthday! :)
ReplyDeleteYou sure have some beautiful grandchildren, Diana. Happy bday Charles in Charge!!
ReplyDeleteI don't remember riding in a car seat, but come to think of it I don't think my parents ever used one. One time my mom's friend and her son went with us to some event that required a bit of driving. Instead of taking two cars, we fit six people in a car that seats 5. Since I was the youngest I got stuck in the gap between the two front seats. Not only was that uncomfortable, it was extremley dangerous.
ReplyDeleteBirthday blessings to your handsome grand!

ReplyDeleteApparently, those car seats are not too comfortable. I finally asked my grands (the youngest of whom is StiLL in a booster seat) what the problem was and got an earful, including complaints about numb legs, tingling toes, and sore backsides.
ReplyDeleteI remember when this grand was three...my that year flew! Hope that he has a very happy year (aside from that carseat thing).
A BIG Happy Birthday to this adorable boy. What a precious family they are. Loved this post Diana. Have a great night. xo
