It has been one crazy, hectic
SUMMER
around here.
I had some family living with us this
SUMMER.
It was bittersweet to see them move
into a new home and new life.
I had some family that moved away this
SUMMER.
I had some unexpected heartache this
SUMMER.
I had some sweet moments, too.
Like this one with dear little
BRIGHT EYES,
Is it my imagination or does she get
cuter by the day?
Her big brothers started school in their new town.
Big Boy E is in Kindergarten.
None of our kids have ever ridden a school bus.
How exciting is this?!?!
CharlesInCharge started Pre-school:
SweetCheeks, Ria & Lulu entered
3rd, 6th & 8th grade.
I can't believe how grown up these girls are!
And, not to be outdone,
CJK has learned MAGJICK!
He can make the sun come out by waving his arms.
The clouds move away and the blue sky
comes through.
I said- How'd you do that?
He said-
It's MACJICK- BUTTERBALL!
WHAT?
Butterball?????
You called me
BUTTERBALL????
Great-just what this family needs---
another comedian!
So- Wondering when I am coming back to blogging?
I am taking a belated anniversary
weekend next week
and then my plan is to return
to blogging on a regular basis.
Thanks to all of you that have stuck by me and
bolstered my spirits this summer.
It was a hard one.
I am blessed to have such wonderful
BLOGGING FRIENDS.
Thank You!
Thank You!
THANK YOU!
See you in a a week or so.
Have a wonderful and blessed
LABOR DAY!
You, too! We missed you!

ReplyDeleteHello Diana! I am so happy that you are enjoying your sweet grand-babies. I know that you have had some lows this summer and I am sorry about that. I hope that the times with your kids lift your spirits! I have missed your visits and your comments, but haven't wanted to bother you with email. So glad that you checked in today. Happy weekend and big hugs to you!!!
ReplyDeleteOh Diana....yes, you have had one crazy ride of a summer, haven't you, girl? Quite a roller coaster for you. I pray that the Lord will bring you peace, returned joy, and a calm soul once things get back to normal. It's been busy over here, too. I haven't posted on my blogs for months because life has just taken over and I haven't found any time. I try to keep up the best I can with FB and IG, though. Hopefully, come winter, my days will slow and I'll be able to find extra time to blog again. I feel like I'm letting all of my faithful followers down. :( Peace, love, and light to you, sweet friend!

Hope your Fall will be better than was your Summer. Sometimes things happen within our family that we do not see coming, and can bring us to our knees. I guess that is when we need to pray the most. Diana!!! Sweet friend, I have missed you SO MUCH! Although I completely understand that sometimes we all need some time away from the computer. You have been in my prayers, dear one, and you will remain there. Wishing you a beautiful and blessed week. Much love to you!
ReplyDeleteThey are growing way too fast! I do not like facing the fact that I am aging fast as well! Kids do that to us. I know life has so much for us to do with those we care about, and breaks from blogs are necessary. Just once a month to know how you are is all we really need!
ReplyDeleteSo so glad to see you back my friend! !! Welcome back!!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful BEAUTIFUL children. It makes my heart happy to see their smiling faces.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back to blogging. I take lots of time off from my blog....but I always look forward to returning to see my sweet friends (none of whom I have ever met in person....but regardless, they ARE my friends) and to read about the happenings in their lives.
So good to see you again!
Sending you hugs from South Georgia.
Jackie
NanaDiana... so happy to see your sweet post packed full of darling pictures of your grandbabies! Oh how sweet, cute and fun they all are. You're busted! I know what you've really been up to. My friend, Tiffannee, who works at the Hooters in Madison told me about this new girl, Diana, stealing all her tips. I put two and two together!

ReplyDeleteDiana...I too have had a lot going on this summer and have not blogged as much. We had 3 funerals...lost 2 aunts and then my best friend just this past week. I hope to be back blogging soon.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Cindy
Since I did fall off the face of the earth, I didn't realize you were missing. I went with the "If you don't have anything positive to say, don't say anything at all" reasoning. But, enough is enough of the gloomy stuff and it's time to come back for me. How come the girls didn't have to hold up a sign for their first day of school? I want to see that little guy hold up a sign every year until he's finished university!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear you haven't fallen off the planet! This Summer went rather quickly for us, so soak it all in and come back when You are ready!
ReplyDeleteHappy Week to you, Diana!
Hugs, Amy

So nice to see you and your beautiful family, Diana. My three year old granddaughter told me I smelled like marshmallows, which was nice since she loves marshmallows, but then her big sister told me that sounded right because I look like a marshmallow. I see the distinct possibility of her name coming off my Christmas list. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteHey sweet Diana! Hope you are doing well as you catch your breath from the summer. It's a good thing that not all of life is as full as this summer was for you, huh? I pray that your heart is healing from the two deaths. . . so hard. I know that looking at these photos of your dear ones makes things better!
ReplyDeleteI just finished my copy of Lucy and enjoyed it very much. It was fun to see your face every time I picked up the book!
Take care of yourself!
Hi Diana! So good to see you back in my email box! I knew you hadn't fallen off the face of the earth. I kept peeking over the edge and didn't see you there :) Sorry your summer was so crazy but I hope that some parts were fun! Fall is coming soon and with it a chance to rewind, rejuvenate and get things back on track! Hope that there will be no heartache - sorry to hear that there was some over the summer! Enjoy your belated anniversary celebration! Hugs, Leena

ReplyDeleteI loved reading your post and seeing the grandkids. They really have grown up since I've been reading your blog. I don't keep us as much as I did and seldom comment. I just don't seem to have the time. I hope you have a wonderful fall.

ReplyDeleteThe bigger cousins, along with Sweet Cheeks are so beautiful! I'm sure you had a very very busy Summer. I did too, and finally our Alexandra came from Spain pregnant to spend two week here, by my DD Sofie's town, 3 hour drive. We did get together us three girls after a good while apart.
Now we will be going to Flo., Miami actually for the birth of our granddaughter in November.
Sending you much blessings sweet friend.

They are as cute as the bright Morning Sunshine all of them. They are not babies anymore. Booooo, hoooo.
ReplyDeleteEven bright eyes. Look at her.
Well I am moved to my apt for seniors. Friendly people. Been a week . Love it. Since the move I am Hunch Back Of Dodder-dam. I had lots of help. Not sure why my back is so dang sore. And I cant believe it.
Almost a ends walks in park . Something snuck up on me. And got me. ( A Wasp). Now I have a Owe Di. So welcome back. Sorry about some of your family moving and Grandchildren.. I have had that with all mine. I guess that is true. At one time or another. Our kids have to leave their Mothers and Fathers to be a family with their Kids. To Adventure out hours away.
What fun to have such a group to visit in the summer!
ReplyDeleteCome back soon....we miss you....I miss you....
We've had an interesting summer and things don't look like they'll change much...so much going on...

ReplyDeleteDays of sadness come upon us all; life can be hard. These, though, always make the good days seem brighter. I hope the sun is shinning on you now as they are in those beautiful faces of your grandchildren.
ReplyDeleteHi Diana,
ReplyDeleteI've been missing your posts and decided to come and say I've been thinking of you and hoping that all is well. I had a busy Labor Day weekend so I guess this post slipped past me. I'm sorry to hear about your heartache. ((hugs)) It sounds like you have had a very busy summer! What a beautiful bunch of grand children you have and yes they do grow very fast. Makes me think that it's so good to savor every moment of every day with those that we love and just life in general. I hope that things have settled down for you and that your heart is healing.
