Here we go !
I am cleaning out the picture files
and YOU, you lucky dog,
get to see them.
Well, you are going to see the
OTHER STUFF
first before you see me on my ass.
There are a few Disneys that I wanted to post
and didn't before.
Here are the three girls with Pooh Bear.
I dearly love Pooh!
I love that SweetCheeks,
with her gappy-missing-teeth little smile,
is laughing right out loud.
Then, of course, Tigger got equal hugs!
I won't say that MyHero doesn't "get it"
but look at SweetCheeks looking at Papa (far left)
as Tigger is trying to get him to high five.
He FINALLY "gets it"
AFTER SweetCheeks yells,
"PAPA! High Five!"
There was a very awkward hug afterwards that
we all laughed about but failed to capture in a photo
You know how they say everyone has a double?
That they have someone in the world that looks just like them?
Yes- Well, my daughter found hers.
She needs to pull her glasses down on her face though
for the full effect.
And, before you see me on my ass,
you get to see
SweetCheeks on
Dumbo The Flying Elephant!
And now, ladies and gentlemen,
here it is!
Here is what you have all been waiting for!
This is me on my ass.
I was 7 years old and her name was Roxie!
(sorry Roxie-no insult meant- that really was her name)
I love that my mother always had us squinting into the sun.
Roxie's most endearing trait was
that when she was tired of
you being on her back
she would lie down and roll-
which forced you off her back.
Then she would leave you
off in a field somewhere
while she hightailed it
back to the barn.
And you wonder why I turned out the way I did?
Now you know!
ps. MyHero said-This is a terrible post
you just like saying THAT word.
You are going to lose followers
no one with any class
is going to follow you anymore.
I said- They left a long time ago.
He said- Well-You DO
just like saying THAT word!
I smiled...and said...wait for it...
You bet youra as butt I do!;>)
pps. Roxie was really a burro...

I had a German Shepard, a kitty, two bunnies and parakeet and some tropical fish as a child. None of them ever let me ride them....although that didn't stop my little brother from trying. ;)

ReplyDeleteI didn't have an ass, I had a cow that I rode, I was a bit younger than you, when I rode her, I barely remember it. Don't have photos, sadly.
Disney is always fun and seeing you on your BUTT is funny tooo!
ReplyDeleteDiana, SweetCheeks riding Dumbo brought back sweet memories for me. My first trip to Disneyland was 6 years old. Candid pictures are the best, aren't they? Love that one of your daughter, she looks so cute. And that Ria..... she has a smile that lights up the world. So glad you had a good time at Disney, and I can never get enough of the all the fun pictures there.
ReplyDeletelove, ~Sheri
ps that is a treasured picture of you on Roxie. Those black and whites get to me every time. :~)
ReplyDeleteIf you lose followers because of that, they don't deserve you..One of my favorite pictures of my husband is him wrestling with Tigger...Roxie was pretty skinny..
ReplyDeleteHow I've missed you & your totally irrepressible humour. Many thanks for brightening my day. Joan

Diana, you almost always leave me laughing...and your poor hero...well at least he figured it out in the end. I think I have a similar photo somewhere of me on the back of a "horse" but it didn't have quite the lyrical history behind it.

ReplyDeleteOMG! Too funny! Too bad you didn't get the awkward hug. Could have been blackmail material....just saying. I had to laugh at your Hero stressing over you saying ass. I about died just now because my husband wrote a post of Facebook about a movie we saw and he said boob. OMG!
ReplyDeleteLOL......:)
ReplyDeleteHa Ha Ha.....loved it~~~I had a "_ss" (donkey) bite my boob.....but that's another story for another time. HaHa. It is a fun word to say, isn't it???
ReplyDeleteYour so funny. I can see a striking resemblance between you and Sweet Cheeks. I bet she looks a lot like you did as a child.
ReplyDeleteMy nephews went to disney world not that long ago, apparently they got real shy when the princesses came to talk to them.
ReplyDeletewhat would your Hero think if he knew you read another blogger's post who referred herself as a "camera whore"......way worse then ass....and I love those character breakfasts at Disney....last time we were there Tigger attacked the Boss and nuzzled his head under his armpit...and one of the princess' had a face on her to show what she really thinks of her job and I happened to catch both faces....the disgruntled one followed immediately by the smile face...it's priceless...
ReplyDeleteFun pictures and a great post to read! I lose followers every time I post about alcohol! Whatever. LOL!
ReplyDeleteCute pics Diana....and come to think of it, I remember lots of pics when we kids and we were squinting into the sun!...love that picture of you on the "you know what"!!! :)
