Taking A Few Days Away~A Short Break (I Hope)

You remember last week I told you
my stomach was bothering me?
Well, it is no better.
I went to the doctor yesterday.
Apparently, I don't have a virus so that is
ONE GOOD THING.
That means I haven't infected any of the kids.

I am on a course of treatment for a few days
so I am going to snuggle down,
watch some crappy old movies,
thumb through my Christmas magazines & books
and stay under a heated blanket
because I have chills.

Don't worry-
I will be fine-I just didn't want to leave you hanging..
waiting on me and wondering where I am.

Guess my new curtains will wait a few days, too.
Darn it!

I'll be back soon to regale you with
a few more snickers pictures-
like this one!
Personally-I have always loved a man in a bow tie.
I don't usually expect to see one in Walmart though!
See you shortly!

  11. Good luck! Do as told. And rest. and watch lots of crappy movies. (Oh some of those Hallmark ones are... ding-dang-crappy, so they will fill the bill! -gigggles-)

Listen to your docs. And come out the other side, happily happy.

Hey, I did! Last Sun I went in hospital, with what I feared were Heart Symptoms. After all sorts of wonderful tests, came out, with a clean bill of Heart Health. !!!!!!! You will end with a nice, happy, tummy bill of health!!!

Actually, that "stomach bug" idea, isn't so. Usually people ate something "turned" or etc. Check with your docs. Isn't the "stomach virus" a false but usable term??? :-)

  16. Awww...the good news is you have a virus and the bad news is that you must rest and watch sappy movies and read some books. Feel betterer soon! (Are these pics for real? Is that guy really wearing a bra and bowtie with his pink underwear showing? Crazy!)

  17. Feel better sweetie. DO NOT watch that new julia roberts/meryl streep flick that is on hbo right now. (something orange county) It is so sad. They just yell at each other the whole time.

Why don't you see if you can binge on OUTLANDER...Ooh la la....men in kilts will wash away the thought of your walmart photo

  19. Get better! And I'm glad you didn't infect the children. But - a virus might have been easier. I don't know what you have but viruses normally run their course and you are fine in a couple of days. I hope the treatment you are on works well with no side effects.

  26. Hope you feel better soon! It was so cold last week I snuggled up on the sofa under a warm blanket for three days, and I wasn't sick! Did watch everything on my DVR though. :-)

  27. Sorry you are feeling yucky - sometimes you just have to take the time to rest with your feet up. This time of year the 'bugs' are getting passed around - I woke up with laryngitis this morning - which made my hubby very happy :) He tried to appear sympathetic but I saw the happy dance he did when he walked away.....Enjoy those movies. I like a man in a bow-tie, too, but I think the sunhat really adds to the whole ensemble. xo Karen

  31. Later.... I'm backkkkkkkkkkkkk....

Don't know what your tummy symptoms are, but... Over time, I had just about all gut issues possible. Complete with the gas and all the other stuff. I began referring to it, as IBS. I had 'em, until I went Gluten Free. On my own.

Never tested. Don't need to be. Because! After some time, Gluten Free, I was WITHOUT all those GUT ISSUES!!!!

I was tested for Lactose Intolerance, and am positive. But I can have SOME dairy, if I take over-the-counter Lactaid. Not much dairy, but some. But there are wonderful Goat Cheeses and Coconut Milk and etc. So L/F is not horrible.

NOOOOOO pill for Gluten though. If you are Sensitive, you can NOT have ANY Gluten. But the no pain and no diarreah and no gas and no urgency and no etc., etc., etc. are WORTH it. !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish I could suggest to every person who has gut issues, to try it. Go completely Gluten Free for 2 or 3 weeks. If you ARE Gluten Sensitive, you will be amazed at how wonderful you feel. Without ingesting it. !!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I'd suggest trying no Lactose too. Lactose Intolerance causes many of the same horrid gut issues.

Just saying... Just my experience.... Just saying...

    Tessa~

  48. Wishing you a speedy recovery, my dear. I am just emerging from a three day sinus headache/sore throat/cough. The worse part is fretting over things gone undone while recovering. But I hope you will somehow "enjoy" the down time and come bouncing right back soon - in the same way "Mister Bow Tie" seems to be relishing life!
