Just A Quick Before And After......I Can't Believe It~

Oh No!
The time has come!
The time is now!
The hair is gone!
I can't say how!

It was here before-
But it went away.
My "baby" is gone.
He's a big boy today!

(apologies to the book Marvin K. Mooney)

BIG BOY E

BEFORE:
Five Months
Fast forward:
After:
FIVE YEARS
He said he would get his haircut if he could get
A MOHAWK!

This works for Mom & Boy!

Mom might have shed a few tears when they cut off the curls last weekend.

I might have joined her with a sniffle myself.

AND for your morning viewing pleasure
here is a
WALMART SANTA
with a mohawk!
I don't think Big Boy E's Mom is
gonna let him do that!

Lots going on here-
Working on a project that I hope to share
by the end of the week!

Have a great Monday.

  1. What is it with little boys and mohawks. My DIL's little one always wants one and what is funny is that when he draws pictures of himself he always sticks a point on his head kind of like your santa, ha ha. Currently he has NO mohawk since some halloween gum got stuck in his hair and being a HE man, rather than try to get the gum out, my son just gave him a close buzz.

Your little one is adorable in both pictures..those eyes! He's so photogenic. They all are! : )

  3. Hi Diana! Oh, look at those pretty little curls but those eyes! He's a handsome little man! Ha ha about the mohawk! I would much prefer this kind too. He does look so grownup with his new haircut. Sniffle sniffle, they do grow up fast!
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia ;)

  5. Little boys do look more grown up when they get that first hair cut. I remember when my grandsons got theirs. They do grow up right before our eyes, don't they!

  6. This is so precious! I remember when our son did that!

  7. Oh, he's so cute, Diana. I loved those curls on my little guy for as long as I could before having his hair cut. I love how my granddaughter's hair is all curly so even when she has gotten a trim, it is still curly.

  8. He looks adorable both ways! and those eyes, oh my! It's so hard and at the same time so fun, to see them grow!

  10. Oh Diana the face of an angel, Big Boy E is ever so precious. My Grand Dane wears his hair long. It's dark brown and curly and honestly I don't understand how he gets away with the style in school. I imagine with Big Boy E saying no to him with those eyes is nearly impossible
yup, every Walmart Santa should adopt that hairdo!!!
Happy Monday, we"re cold with rain in Philly.

  15. Awwww..........he's so cute! My husband needs to cut our sons hair today. He does a good job so we don't have to take him to the barber.

  16. That Santa is quite a sight, yes indeed. Your boy is a cutie pie, with or without curls.

  17. Oh my, where has the time gone? He gets cuter every year...love that boy.

  18. Well, he is still a cutie, curls or not! Our grandson hasn't reached the point of wanting his curls cut, though his hair is shorter than it was. He shed tears once when his dad cut it too short, so now goes to JCPenney for his hair cuts. xo Nellie

  23. Oh I remember those sweet locks from my little boys too. Your little guy is so handsome that you hardly notice those missing curls though. And that store Santa, he's WILD LOOKING

  24. Such a handsome little boy. I'm guessing that beautiful hair is going to be covered up with a winter hat now too! Such a crazy early winter we are having!

  25. He is growing entirely to fast. Don't you wish that you could keep them littler longer. My oldest grandson has curly hair and the only way to get rid of his is cut it really short. The boys got the curls. Santa and his mohawk looks wild. He is so cute. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.

Have a good afternoon and thanks for the kind comment on the photo of the local park. I took that thru the car window....now I see that the bridge is "leaning!"

  30. Big Boy is certainly a cutie and he looks so good with his hair cut. I certainly hope that isn't the Santa in the store, just someone shopping.
    He looks terrible.
Have a great day and glad your feeling better.

  51. Diana,
Big Boy looks a lot like my nephew when he was little with that blonde curly hair. He sure has grown, hasn't he? And he is starting to have his own little personality getting the Mohawk and all. He will still be your little boy, Diana, for a very long time. :~)

    love,

  52. Oh Diana, he is such a cutie! Why is it so sad for us mama's to have our child's hair cut?? I remember the first time my son had his hair cut... and the sad part is I forgot to get a lock of his hair!

That picture.... there are no words. Have a great week!

  53. NNNNOOOOOO!!! Beautiful blonde curls should never be cut off. Oh no. On another note, we quote Marvin K. Mooney all the time at our house.

  54. Santa is changing with the times and keeping up with the styles. :-)
What a precious photo! Why is it that curls are hard to part with?
My oldest daughter hardly had any hair, just grew a Mullet! I hated to cut it off for fear she would never grow hair, now she has a full, and I mean full head of hair, gorgeous.
I look forward to your project.
    Blessings, Debbie
