It's funny but I know some of you so well
that I kind of know when I post the pictures
which one you will vote for.

Thank you all for your prayers.
I did nothing yesterday except rest.
I don't want you all to worry about me because
what I had done was minor surgery in
the big scale of things
and I don't want to leave you guessing.
I will tell you that I had some surgery on my eyes.
I had a growth that had to be removed
and my vision has been impaired by about 40%.
My computer time is limited for a few days
because my eyes are scratchy feeling
and need to heal.
I have quite a few stitches and let's just say
IT AIN'T PURTY!

I did NOT want to have this done
but I realized that I could not see
the ceiling when I was looking
straight ahead.

The Dr. thought I would need a skin graft
where the growth was
but I did not need one
AND
he was able to save my lash line.
THAT is a good thing,
as Martha Stewart would say.

You know...I was really kind of stupid about
the whole thing.
I should have scheduled the surgery for
HALLOWEEN WEEK.
Then I would have been all set.
I could wrap myself in rags and be one of
THE LIVING DEAD!

Usually I am just a
WITCH.
No costume necessary!

Have A Happy Columbus Day!

You DID know it was Columbus Day, didn't you?

  12. I'm hoping the healing goes well and fast, Diana! I'm sorry I missed the survey. I would have chosen the first one also. And Yes, I did know it was Columbus Day because the package I labeled for shipping today won't go out now until tomorrow. Grrr. Oh well, it's a small town post office. I think they will forgive me.

  13. Wow! My choice won, this time! Imagine that! -grin-

Thank you so much, for telling us about your minor surgery. In a vacuum of info, women can conjure up all sorts of false possibilities. Thank you for not leaving us, in that.

    Rest. Heal. Hugs.

  14. Yay! I'm in good company. I picked #1 too. That picture of that witch is creepy! Glad that you're healing well. Speaking of eyes, I just noticed a broken blood vessel in my eye last night. It looks HORRIBLE now and I've never had one before. It's all red in the white part of my eye on one side. I looked it up online and it said it will take a couple of weeks to go away. Nooooooo! I'm going to scare people when they see me.

  18. Good morning Diana, It is cool 56 and raining so I am reading blogs this morning. Please take care of those eyes. They are very precious. We go Wednesday to see if the injection is working in Hubby's eye. I couldn't decide which table setting I liked best so I didn't comment because you wouldn't let me vote for all of them. It is always so hard to decide wedding decorations. I can remember the trouble we had when our daughter got married. They ended up making theirs. Have a wonderful day. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.

  19. I hope you are feeling better today, Diana! You have been in my thoughts. I missed your table voting post. Not sure which one I would have picked, it would be a toss up between the winner, and the one with the wheat. I especially love that one, I guess 'cuz I am the daughter of a wheat farmer:)

I had forgot that it was Columbus Day. I wonder if Steve remembered, if his Mom was still with us, this would be her birthday:)
I wonder if they celebrate birthdays in heaven . . . I'm thinking that they have more important things to celebrate, right :)
Have a lovely day, REST AND STAY OFF THE COMPUTER! LISTEN TO YOUR DOCTOR!

Your sense of humor is always precious. Prayers for healing and yes, I was aware of Columbus Day and how he sailed the ocean blue in 14 hundred and 92 and I'm glad he did.

  42. I have to admit I am kind of creeped out by anything that has to do with the eyes. My daughter had to have a shot in her eye once. They almost had to peel me off the floor. SO happy that you are doing well and that your lashes are still ever so lovely. xo Laura
