Last night we were in for a real treat.
Yes.We.Were.
Two of our little granddaughters
had a dance recital.
she made it to the finals on
So You Think You Can Dance on TV.
She is good.
Very, very good.
She opened a dance studio here in Green Bay
called VIBE.
Isn't she beautiful?
Our little SweetCheeks danced and led the troupe
on stage for their first performance.
These are the "babies" and had to try out for class.
She danced with 4 other sweet little girls.
Aren't they cute?
The "babies" always steal the show!
Her older sister, Ria, is really good.
She tried out and is the youngest dancer in
her troupe.
As you can see the other girls are all teenagers
and our Ria is only 10.
There she is front and center.
She has the heart and soul of a true artist.
It will be fun to see her develop.
She never stops smiling on stage.
I was so excited after watching their performances
that I thought it might be nice to have
MyHero take ballet.
I found a costume that I think will work.
I hope he can pass the entrance exam.
I would hate to see a costume like that go to waste!
I'll keep you updated on THAT!
Happy Monday!
Diana, When your Hero puts his foot down, tell him to be sure to point his toes. LOL Your granddaughters are so pretty. It's nice they can take dance and truly do enjoy it. That sure makes a difference. Blessings for a great new week, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteThe girls look so pretty in their outfits, Diana! They look like they really enjoy dance, too. I remember when my daughter took dance and was in the "baby" class. You're right, they did always steal the show and were just adorable doing their dance. Can't wait to see my granddaughter doing it. Right now she's supposed to be doing soccer, but doesn't seem to have any interest in it.

ReplyDeletewow , Ria sure has a dancers body.. all the girls look cute and so excited to be there..I hope they enjoy every moment.
dance is good for the body and will build lots of muscular strength for later in life.
All are beautiful Diana, brings back memories when my now 15 yr. old granddaughter took ballet at age 2. I was keeping her at that time while my daughter worked. I was blessed to get to attend her dance recitals. I know you are a proud grandmother!

ReplyDeleteWondering how poised and adorable the Hero will be in costume? ;-)
Beautiful photos of the girls! Ballet gives girls poise. My daughter is a pianist, but she takes ballet too. xoxo
ReplyDeleteThe girls are gorgeous...I miss those dance days!
ReplyDeleteJim actually danced with Jaclyn in a Dancing Dads and Daughters class for two years, costume and all!! One year was Hand Jive from Grease and the other Stuck in the Middle with You. I'll have to post the pictures one day (or at least send them to you)!
Wonderful photos of the girls. They really do look like seasoned ballet dancers. What I really want to say is.....video....Video of Hero in his tutu and dancing to Swan Lake! Waiting for the update!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures of your young ballerina's. I love the pic of Ria in the black ~ so pretty! Hero will look wonderful in his tutu....gosh I hope those are not his crutches in the back ground (?) Have a great day.!
ReplyDeleteOn those girls are sure beauties and have so much talent. I know how proud you are of them. Yes, I think you should get your hero to try out for that class LOL.

How exciting, Diana! I bet you are so proud of the girls! I love their costumes. And the last one? Well, you might want to make the tutu just a bit longer. That might just be a bit too much exposure, if you get my drift!!
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing these pictures of the girls!! I bet it was so much fun to watch them dance! I know you've got to be very proud of them. :) Be sure to do a blog post about your Hero all dressed up in his tutu. Lol! ;)
ReplyDeleteYou make me laugh :) Please don't do that to your poor hero, he may not be your hero any longer. Your girls are adorable. Looks like they are doing well with their dance classes.
ReplyDeleteDid you make all those costumes? Your the show stopper! Your sweet girls are just precious! Hope you are enjoying some spring weather!

ReplyDeleteOur great nephew Jordan graduated from kindergarten this morning and we went to see him walk.
That are so cute at that age.

oh my gosh they are lovely, but if The Hero passes the entrance exam I don't want to know about it, thats a hard image to shake!
ReplyDeleteYour granddaughters look so natural on stage. I hope that love this and continue on-I think it is so good for young girls to have the training(it helps them with their posture). I would also agree with Laurie about tmi concerning your hubby trying out. I did get a good laugh but let's just leave it at that, shall we.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Noreen
Such beautiful and talented girls! I would be extremely proud too. I hope they continue to like it and develop more of their talent. My son-in-law's niece has been in ballet forever and she teaches part time. Such grace and poise ballet creates in young girls. Now, that white costume? I don't believe I would ~ ;-)

ReplyDeleteBut glad you saved the "best" or I'd it the "worse" for the last..lol
Blessings,
Gert
Your granddaughters are adorable in their pretty dance outfits. This is great for them - I studied ballet for 10 years, en pointe for almost 6 years - until I realized I was growing into a buxom hobbit and would never be a graceful willow branch as dancers are........your Ria is such a willow - she looks incredibly graceful and flowy - what a treat for you to watch this. Their teacher is a stunning beauty, as is that last pic - gorgeous. Not. Yikes.
ReplyDeleteHugs.
Ahahahahah! You're funny, Diana! Poor your Hero But then, I'm sure he never has a boring moment with you! As for the girls, they look so sweet! I used to love going to my granddaughters' dance recitals!
ReplyDeleteOh how I hoped Freya would dance, but I took her to a class and she stubbornly announced, "I am not wearing them shoes!" Both girls look lovely. I would love to go to an evening like that.
