Prayer Updates! Thanks For The Prayers For Kalea & Our Sweet Little CJK

Several of you have emailed
me asking about our little CJK and
the baby (Kalea) you prayed for.
Here is an update.

A few weeks ago,
asked for prayers for sweet little
Baby Kalea.
Her prayer request was here.
I also posted about this sweet baby
and the outpouring of prayers was phenomenal.
After a few scary weeks and
an unsure prognosis
this sweet little girl
IS HOME!
They are still not sure why she was so sick...
and her parents are scared and a bit nervous.
Please pray for peace of mind for them.

AND
Our own little CJK?
Well, he is doing really GREAT
thanks to two wonderful bloggers
that put a thought into words
and called our attention to
Kawasaki Disease!
You can read the original
post about his health here and here.
He has a bit of stiffness in his joints yet
but his overall health is good .
He will stay on baby aspirin for a few months
to prevent blood clots.
(One of the big side effects of  Kawasaki)
Here he is at Christmas
trying out his cousin's new bike.
Just look at those chubby little cheeks!

Speaking of chubby-

When I told SweetCheeks I was getting
A LITTLE CHUBBY...
She informed me that only
BABIES CAN BE CHUBBY...
Everyone else is just FAT.

And there you have it, folks..
The voice of authority!
Have a great Sunday!

  1. Miles of smiles from this post, Diana. Such blessings for those two little ones. And Sweet Cheeks is right (brutally right!) - a motivational speaker (?) on top of it all! Off to the treadmill for chubby,er.....fat me! Stay warm during the arctic blast! Jane

  3. That was very good news about Kalea and I am also happy to know that your grandson is doing so much better. Interesting that baby aspirin is "the treatment" when we worry so much about giving it to children. Just goes to show that there is an application for everything. I wonder if Kawasaki disease spiked about the same time that baby aspirin was no longer recommendend.

And as for Miss Manners there...LOL! Well now, she does tell it like it is. Wonder what she'd say about being "fluffy."

  9. Wonderful reports on the sick little ones...

Now then, please inform Sweet Cheeks that she is quite right, about only babies being chubby.

    But...

"Ladies Of A Certain Age" (Nanas, Aunts, Grammies, etc.) can be, and often are.....CUDDLY. And can anyone envision wanting to "cuddle" a stick-person? Hu? Hu? Hu?

  13. Well, she set you straight! LOL! She's what my grandmother used to call me ~ a "pip". "You're a pip!" she would always tell me. So glad to hear these precious little ones are feeling better. I thought of you yesterday when I was at Hobby Lobby. They had little pillows that said "My Hero" on them.

  18. Oh honey, I am thrilled the cute Little baby is home now...God is good!!! Sweet Cheeks is too much; she reminds me of my 6 yr. old Cayetana, who's so funny that way too! I learned soon enough I shoudn't ask kids any questions, like, do I look fat? Cayetana also said, yes, but just a Little with her tiny fingers and when I lost 20 lbs. she also said I lost just a Little...geezzz!!! LOL!

I have been praying for both of those sweet babies and it looks like God has answered our prayers.
I am on blood thinners as I just had a blood clot in my left thigh. Caught it in time as they can be really scary.
Take care of yourself and stay WARM
