This beautiful little girl loves to GIVE.
AND she loves to craft.
She made this for her MOM for Fall.
She even did a little tutorial for you.
First you must take Papa's OLD OLD truck
and collect a load of grape vines.
Then you need to find one of those old plastic pots
that Nana brought a now dead rosebush home in.
This is how you get it started so that the center
stays nice and round.
Then you wrap it some more.
SHOW PAPA
and he says it is THE BEST
Annie Sloan paint project tomorrow.
She might, or might not have got
paint on the kitchen floor----shhhhhhh---
It looks like sweet-cheeks had a great time making the wreath...what memories she will have of this day with you, cat-tails and all!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your project...
Blessings,
Cindy

She is growing up so fast Diana!! What a brilliant way to make a wreath round. Never in a million years would I have thought of doing that. Happy Tuesday and prayers for your friend from a few post below. xo
ReplyDeleteOh, you know how I love grapevine wreaths. Maybe SweetCheeks can come over for a wreath frenzy day!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the wreath, Sweet Cheeks. I know Mommy loves it!
ReplyDeleteWOW- now that is totally well done!
ReplyDeleteI have heard- not sure- that if one soaks the vines in a tub of warm water before starting it helps it's pliability in forming the circle a mite easier. Not certain. I have no abandoned grape vines to raid around here to give it a whirl.
That wreath is really awesome. YAY!
She did a great job, Diana. I love that you have grapevine there to make the wreath from scratch. I'm sure her Mom will love it!

ReplyDeleteI love it when kids work on craft projects by using their imagination - they have so much fun along the way. I remember making things with colored construction paper when I was around her age. SweetCheek's grapevine wreath looks wonderful, and I would surely put it up in my home.
ReplyDeleteHappy October!
Love,

No grapevines anywhere near where I live. I would have to drive a long, long way north...or south. But I loved seeing how it's done. I will remember this just in case I ever get some grapevines. Thank you Sweet Cheeks. You ARE the best! :)
