Computerless In Chula Vista

Computerless-
Completely Computerless-
Typing this on Thursday for Friday morning.
I am a tad lost without my computer.
It's gone- my love affair with Fred
has ended.
Maybe I should have called her Sugar instead.
You DO name your computer, don't you?

Well, at least I am stuck in a pretty place.
We got upgraded cuz they screwed
our reservation up...
works for me!

Here's the outside

Chula Vista

MyHero is at a medical convention.
They are talking about organs.
You don't want to know-
Trust me on this.

See those water slides?
Yeah-We are NOT using them.
Here's where I am
while MyHero is at the convention.
In our room,
It is cold outside so this works for me.
No projects here to work on.
Did I mention
NO COMPUTER?
No shopping here unless I want to buy
miniature wigwams.
Did I mention
NO COMPUTER?
What to do-What to do-What to do-

AH-READ!!!
If  you have never read
Maeve Binchy you have missed something.
Her books are set in Ireland and,
sadly this is her last book before
she passed.
You can catch a preview
by clicking HERE

After remembering that I love reading
I might give up blogging.
Ummm...okay
Now you KNOW that I am a liar!
I could NEVER leave all of you!
Catch you later-
Hopefully soon!

  2. I hope that your husband enjoyed his convention and that you enjoyed your book`! It's surprising how computers have so become part of our lives and we don't realise until we don't have them! Hope your reunion was good! Joan

  5. Awwww...I'd let you borrow my laptop if I were in the room next door. ;) I'm always lost without mine too, so I feel your pain. And I've been in your shoes a time or two, tagging along with hubby to a medical convention or two. More often than not, I end up reading in my room or on the laptop. I haven't read any Maeve Binchy, but I'll add her to my reading list. Wonder if her books are on audio? Have a great day Diana!

  10. Good Morning Diana, You do miss your computer when it is down. I know that I would be lost without mine. I have to many friends that I would lose contact with. Your little one was so cute getting his first haircut and the pictures are adorable. Enjoy your time reading. I would have needlework to help me pass the time of day so I could alternate. Have a wonderful day. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.

  11. well it looks like a beautiful room, I know you must be lost without the computer hopefully you get a new one soon, No I have never named my computer unless you count the numerous things I call it when it messes up, most of those aren't very affectionate!

  12. It's amazing how we set those books aside to blog. Books are my true love, my time away from home boredom killer, waiting room hero, escape from life! But it sure has gone down hill since blogging took over. I feel a little guilty.

Your room looks warm and cozy...how about a little nap?

    XO,
    Jane

  18. Hey There, maybe there is a support group for when mother boards go out? I know what you are feeling. Blogging has been a outlet and a form of creative therapy for myself. And I love the connections I have with some of the sweetest ladies ever (YOU).

  20. Well, there are other things to do in hotel rooms besides reading you know. Oh, wait. That's right there's that convention thing. Well, go ahead and catch up on your reading and take a nap or two!

  21. Now you're in my hometown Diana! Of course back in the day there was nary a water park to be found when I lived there. You have a beautiful room to curl up and read a book ~ hope your computer is all better soon.

  22. Whew! Withdrawal symptoms can be rough! And enlightening, don't you think? I must get the book. I love the look she always gives into the lives there.

Diana, you could have brought along materials for some of those rabbits you used to make! Or are you so over that?

  23. Well, that view is better than any discussion on organs, I am sure. Hope you have your computer soon - I never name mine because then I'd feel bad swearing at it (which I would NEVER do, of course)

  24. Out of town AND no computer? Phooey! Well, you could always hang out at the spa and get a massage and mani-pedi:) Hold the wig wams, I'll take reading any day! I read Maeve Binchy many years ago and loved her work. Safe travels!

  28. I am attached at the hip to my netbook, and it goes EVERYWHER, and I really MEAN everywhere with me! Get yourself one! I've abused, dropped, mishandled mine and it's still ticking!
Chula Vista? Not in WI, I presume! Just a few more weeks, and I'll be back in jeans and sweatshirts and I CAN NOT WAIT!!!!

    Makes computer crashes less painful.

  46. Diana, I am so sorry Fred is ailing. My computer had a name when I got him. His name is MAC. If you do feel the need to purchase a new computer, MAC has lots of clones and they rarely if ever have any ailments. Just saying!
I am assuming that you are working on your smart phone! So glad I got to take a break and see your post.
Have a blessed Sunday and love to all, Ginger

  48. Chula Vista has changed since I lived in San Diego. Back then, there would never have been a convention there.

I have never read any Maeve Binchy, but everyone tells me I should.
