Computerless-
Completely Computerless-
Typing this on Thursday for Friday morning.
I am a tad lost without my computer.
It's gone- my love affair with Fred
has ended.
Maybe I should have called her Sugar instead.
You DO name your computer, don't you?
Well, at least I am stuck in a pretty place.
We got upgraded cuz they screwed
our reservation up...
works for me!
Here's the outside

Chula Vista MyHero is at a medical convention. They are talking about organs. You don't want to know- Trust me on this. See those water slides? Yeah-We are NOT using them. Here's where I am while MyHero is at the convention. In our room, It is cold outside so this works for me. No projects here to work on. Did I mention NO COMPUTER? No shopping here unless I want to buy miniature wigwams. Did I mention NO COMPUTER? What to do-What to do-What to do- AH-READ!!! If you have never read Maeve Binchy you have missed something. Her books are set in Ireland and, sadly this is her last book before she passed. You can catch a preview by clicking HERE |
After remembering that I love reading
I might give up blogging.
Ummm...okay
Now you KNOW that I am a liar!
I could NEVER leave all of you!
Catch you later-
Hopefully soon!
Keep blogging, Diana, you're so faithful!
ReplyDeleteI hope that your husband enjoyed his convention and that you enjoyed your book`! It's surprising how computers have so become part of our lives and we don't realise until we don't have them! Hope your reunion was good! Joan
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good trip sans computer! xo
ReplyDeleteHang in there! The first few days of computer withdrawal are the worst. HUGS!!!
ReplyDeleteAwwww...I'd let you borrow my laptop if I were in the room next door. ;) I'm always lost without mine too, so I feel your pain. And I've been in your shoes a time or two, tagging along with hubby to a medical convention or two. More often than not, I end up reading in my room or on the laptop. I haven't read any Maeve Binchy, but I'll add her to my reading list. Wonder if her books are on audio? Have a great day Diana!
ReplyDeleteDebbie
Diana, You would be missed too much if you stopped blogging. You are well loved by many. Heck you are the one we bring our problems to. You are our blogging therapist:):)xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteYou could head over to Tanger Outlet Mall or the antique mail on Hwy. 12! Otherwise, your room looks gorgeous...put your feet up and relax!!! And there's always the Ducks, lol!!! Hope your computer is fixed soon!!

ReplyDeleteGood luck on your computer !!! Have a great weekend
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Diana, You do miss your computer when it is down. I know that I would be lost without mine. I have to many friends that I would lose contact with. Your little one was so cute getting his first haircut and the pictures are adorable. Enjoy your time reading. I would have needlework to help me pass the time of day so I could alternate. Have a wonderful day. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.
ReplyDeletewell it looks like a beautiful room, I know you must be lost without the computer hopefully you get a new one soon, No I have never named my computer unless you count the numerous things I call it when it messes up, most of those aren't very affectionate!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how we set those books aside to blog. Books are my true love, my time away from home boredom killer, waiting room hero, escape from life! But it sure has gone down hill since blogging took over. I feel a little guilty.
ReplyDeleteYour room looks warm and cozy...how about a little nap?
XO,
Jane
We would miss our morning chuckle and hug!
ReplyDelete~withLove.
Yes, most days her name is " you s.o.b. you better get working right or else"... how's that for you? Yes, by all means email to chat about our common traits, you never who's fix might help. Been a rough go for me for a bit but i'm still fighting still trying. :) Hugs. Tammy
ReplyDeleteBeautiful room Diana... I think we all need some time off of the computer... and reading is such a beautiful escape... xoxo Julie Marie
ReplyDeleteOMG I couldn't go without my computer for this long. I hope they can fix it!
ReplyDeleteSafe travels home.
Hope you soon have your computer back..No..I haven't named my computer..Have to give that some thought..
ReplyDeleteHey There, maybe there is a support group for when mother boards go out? I know what you are feeling. Blogging has been a outlet and a form of creative therapy for myself. And I love the connections I have with some of the sweetest ladies ever (YOU).
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Roxy
You could never give up blogging. What would we do without our daily giggle from you?
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great trip.
Judy
Well, there are other things to do in hotel rooms besides reading you know. Oh, wait. That's right there's that convention thing. Well, go ahead and catch up on your reading and take a nap or two!
ReplyDeleteNow you're in my hometown Diana! Of course back in the day there was nary a water park to be found when I lived there. You have a beautiful room to curl up and read a book ~ hope your computer is all better soon.
ReplyDeleteWhew! Withdrawal symptoms can be rough! And enlightening, don't you think? I must get the book. I love the look she always gives into the lives there.
ReplyDeleteDiana, you could have brought along materials for some of those rabbits you used to make! Or are you so over that?
Well, that view is better than any discussion on organs, I am sure. Hope you have your computer soon - I never name mine because then I'd feel bad swearing at it (which I would NEVER do, of course)
ReplyDeleteOut of town AND no computer? Phooey! Well, you could always hang out at the spa and get a massage and mani-pedi:) Hold the wig wams, I'll take reading any day! I read Maeve Binchy many years ago and loved her work. Safe travels!
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful place you're staying at..No computer? No shopping? Yep, I might be losin my marbles. Lol....hang in there
ReplyDeleteI name my cars but not my computer. My great Aunt used to live in Chula Vista.
ReplyDeleteI don't consider myself a "Reader", but I have read most of Maeve's books, tho not the last one. Like you, I mostly read blogs! Enjoy your down time while your dh enjoy all the "organ talk".
ReplyDeleteI am attached at the hip to my netbook, and it goes EVERYWHER, and I really MEAN everywhere with me! Get yourself one! I've abused, dropped, mishandled mine and it's still ticking!
ReplyDeleteChula Vista? Not in WI, I presume! Just a few more weeks, and I'll be back in jeans and sweatshirts and I CAN NOT WAIT!!!!
Oh good heavens...it IS in Wisconsin! I was hoping your were in like, California or something! :(
ReplyDeleteJust use the no computer as an excuse to be lazy and do nothing. You've earned it girl!
ReplyDeleteHad to come over and catch up on your posts. Love the ones with your grandson. What a little doll!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoyed your little trip.
Having time to read a good book sounds wonderful to me.
Have a great weekend, my friend.
xo
There should have been a computer with that room...
ReplyDeleteYou sound like you are having withdrawal problems.
ReplyDeleteMerle......
Oh no...well looks like you are making the best of it. xoxo
ReplyDeleteHi Diana, Looks like a wonderful place to kick back, read and relax. I know you are having separation issues with your computer. LOL
ReplyDeleteWell, enjoy the reading and the great room.
I must get MB last book too.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs, Celestina Marie
Hang tight - it gets better without a computer ... really, it does :) Enjoy the time reading and maybe you should try out the water slides, they look amazing :)
ReplyDeleteHugs to you,
Stephanie
What?? No water sliding? ;) Well, I'm pleased you're finding time to read. I miss reading books. Maybe when my kids are in college??
ReplyDeleteXOXO,
Meredith
Hmmm I guess your hero is a bit happy to see you away from your computer! That's what happens around here :)
ReplyDeleteHave a nice trip.
Oh, no, no computer! Yikes! Enjoy that gorgeous fireplace though! Read, relax and is that a tub in the background? Okay, soak. Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteWell, there's always the library until you can get a computer. I highly recommend Apple! I switched 2 years ago and have NEVER looked back!
ReplyDeleteI do call my computer by name sometimes, but I can't repeat such names here LOL! Man, I hope that's a good book so you don't go stir-crazy! If I was in a beautiful room like thaqt, I think I'd takea nice bubble bath, do my nails, sit by that gorgeous fireplace, nap. Sounds like fun to me! Hugs, Leena
ReplyDeleteI say enjoy it! Read, nap, explore.
ReplyDeletexo,T.

ReplyDeleteHope you are enjoying yourself!! i love to read but can't seem to find the time!!
I wanted to thank you for all of your visits and your sweet comments!! I am playing catch up!!
Hugs,
Debbie
I feel the same way about Rosamunde Pilcher - wonderful writer in similar style as Binchy.
ReplyDeleteMakes computer crashes less painful.
UGH hope your computer is fixed soon.I don't know what I would do with out mine LOL!

Diana, I am so sorry Fred is ailing. My computer had a name when I got him. His name is MAC. If you do feel the need to purchase a new computer, MAC has lots of clones and they rarely if ever have any ailments. Just saying!
ReplyDeleteI am assuming that you are working on your smart phone! So glad I got to take a break and see your post.
Have a blessed Sunday and love to all, Ginger
Diana,
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about Fred!!! Hope you had a great week end away and to read a good book that is a good thing!!!
Hope you have a great Sunday.
Kris
Chula Vista has changed since I lived in San Diego. Back then, there would never have been a convention there.
ReplyDeleteI have never read any Maeve Binchy, but everyone tells me I should.
Diana, I hope you're enjoying your time away from home and the computer, with book in hand!
ReplyDeleteNow I have to look for that book at the library! I do hope you are able to resolve your computer issues sooner rather than later! xo Nellie
ReplyDeleteI wish him the best..Backs are a long , life time problem..
ReplyDeleteI hope you're getting a massage, mani/pedi and facial since you have no computer. Rest, my friend! You are such an incredible lady, constant blogger and always commenting...I honestly don't know how you do it! I do know it's appreciated by all of us.

You were in Chula Vista and you didn't call me? It's only 40 miles down the road. You coulda been my best bloggy friend and stayed here at the beach. Dang! Maybe next time.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the book recommendation. I love her books and I'm looking for a few good books for my trip to Hawaii in two weeks!
